Seriously! To find a single barrel at that proof for under $70 in today's market is crazy.

I'm pretty sure the price you quoted was for the 750ml because I paid like $60 for a 750ml of this. Quite a good deal at $60

I came here to say the same thing. I've purchased a bottle of it because it was something new and relatively high proof and reasonably priced for the proof-bottle. I paid that $60ish in Austin, so Daniel's google-fu was weak today.

I literally just had a bottle of this show up at my house today that I ordered monday, I don't think I paid $60 for it, though it was onsale and 10% off. Looking forward to it. I've only recently started playing with the barrel proof whiskeys.

I’m a fairly recent new watcher and what amazes me compared to the early episodes to now is how the level of disheveled ness of Daniel’s beard slowly decreases and Rex’s overall disheveled ness slowly increases....Cheers you MBs

My only regret is finishing bottles never buying new whiskeys I'm at 10 - 15 of bottles.

I never drink whiskey on the rocks ... except this particular one is outstanding on ice once a bit of the ice melts. Delicious!

That may be so, but price is also dependent on location. I'll have to see what the price is on the bottle I saw in my location and the size of the bottle.

Kinda new to the whiskey scene here but really like Jack Daniels SB select. With Covid and the seclusion that comes with that, watching your videos makes life feel a little more normal. So thanks for that. Two thumbs up

Just opened a bottle of the Barrel Proof - definitely got the french toast/cinnamon toast but followed up quickstyle by HEAVY peanuts. Thick & rich like a milkshake - love this stuff. $60 for a 750ml at Safeway.

Thank you Daniel and Rex for a great channel that helped us get thru 2020. Jack Daniel's Single Barrel BP on a national average would be about $60 - $65. You could possible pick up an JDSBBP that goes up to 140 proof. I found one at 132 proof. It depends upon the individual barrel. Cheers! Happy Holidays!

Mine was 64.5% and it was by far the best JD I have ever had. My wife had more than 1/2 the bottle. Yeah, we're still married.

I’m just cracking open a new bottle at 130.0 proof 65.00%… nuttiness beyond belief along with toasted marshmallow, some vanilla and lots of brown sugar… peanut, peanut, PEANUT.. it’s wildly delicious and so unique and different. YUM! Amazing expression from JD, very grateful it’s $36.62 after tax for a 375ml down here.

This is one of my brothers' go to for when we smoke cigars in the summer. We both don't care for it much neat, which is our usual style, but it definitely opens up nicely on a hefty ice cube. I still prefer the normal single barrel neat, however.

Cool 😎 review. I love the JD-SBBP. I've bought 6 of those half bottles ranging from 126-133+ proof. In AZ it's cheaper to buy 2 of those 375ml bottles at $32/ea than the $66 for the standard size bottle. First time I bought one; I laughed at how the cork dwarfed the bottle. There's no moving beyond Jack Daniel's. There's only evolving by adding variety to your palate.🥃

Ya... it’s also been wild how many obscure / fresh styles that the big brands have started to push out. They now have to compete with the small distilleries that are being creative and making more unique styles of whisk(e)y... which I find fun! Cheers!

I paid $25.99 for a 375. It is one of my favorites currently. To me it is a strong Egg Nog on the nose and very vanilla on the pallet. Two thumbs up for sure!

Got this after waiting for it to come back in stock for over 8 months. Excited!

YES! cinnamon french toast with maple syrup!! thats exactly what i get on the normal single barrel, i love it. And that punky corn funk is nice to me too, I wanna explore more corn whiskeys

I picked up a 375 for $31 last week. Have only had one pour, but my initial impressions are that I really like it. The 750's are $53 out here.

shit I honestly figured they had this before. I guess living in TN just makes this more common. its in every store that carries higher end bottles and here in TN the 750ml bottles of it are $60.

richard barrick 70cl/700ml is the standard size in Europe, even bourbon comes in 700ml bottles. I know in the US it’s 750, that’s why I mentioned it.

The way you explained disliking French toast is the exact same feeling I have about vegetable soup. I like the stuff in vegetable soup but hate the way it tastes when combined together.

I picked up a bottle of the single barrel barrel proof JD in Lynchburg, TN last year. I liked it to the last drop. It was $70+ at the distillery gift shop.

I was really expecting some Fancy Dan editing retaliation after the "Bring it baby".....Rex dodged a bullet on this one!

Bad Googling sirs, it's $69.95 for 750 mL in North Carolina and commonly on sale for $64.95. One of the best available barrel proof whiskeys that sits on the shelf while everyone scrambles for BTAC and limited releases.

A great review without a lot of unrelated nonsense, thank you! $65 seems to be the going rate here, but it has become impossible to find. The secret must be out. I have 2 put away and will get more if I ever see another bottle. A steal at $65. This and the BP Rye are great products and I am not a fan of the Black Label flagship product

It's interesting to me how different either my taste buds are or how different my bottle of this stuff is from theirs. When I drink this, I get a banana bread backwards. First I get like walnuts (I hate nuts in banana bread), then a kind of bread-like note, then bananas on the finish. Sweet throughout.

A group of us did a tasting of this bottle and 3 of 4 got an undeniable Banana Laffy Taffy vibe on the nose.

Everyone seems to be finding this regularly but I have only seen it at very small liquor stores and at very limited quantities. When one does get it in, it sells fast. I think it’s one of the best whiskeys around.

The 750 ml bottle only runs $69 in Virginia. It’s a very good botttle so is the black label barrel select. It’s only $49. Both very good pours.

for $140, no go. But I usually see that all over down here for $60/750ml. For $60 and the fact that you cant walk into a store around here and not find a bottle (but I'm in TN, so it makes sense its incredibly available), it's becoming one of my favorites.

Most underrated barrel proof! Never had so much intensity in flavor, and for 55$ and readily available? Blows away ECBP, which is a great bourbon. I found a bunch of 375’s on sale for 20$ a piece. I’d say best whiskey ever for 40$ a bottle

I can't drink regular Jack, because of stupid things I did when I was younger (like playing Jack pong because I don't like beer lol) but absolutely LOVE the barrel proof releases! Soooooo good!

Outstanding hooch! Never had a bad bottle…. First sip is a little hot and after that outstanding flavors. Forget about your misconceptions about Jack! This is a unicorn for the price!

I paid $65 for a 750 ml bottle of my JD Single Barrel Barrel Proof and I absolutely love it at that price. Can never seem to find any Stagg Jr. around Hawaii, so this will suffice.

I was really disappointed by JD bottle in bond. Barrel proof is so much better. It's on a whole other level.

I got a store pick from Total Wine for 74.99 for the 750 ml bottle. Still trying to figure it out, by far the highest proof spirit I've ever tried.

Do you think the shape of a bottle can affect the taste of whiskey long term once it is open. For instance, a wide bottle allowing more air contact with surface of whiskey.

This is fantastic whiskey. 130 proof rocket fuel is so smooth it should have a warning label. Its worth more than Blantons as stupid as that may sound

That bottle goes for about $45 here is Sunny Santa Clarita CA. We just moved here two months ago from Upstate NY. The liquor prices are so cheap here. I did not expect that to be the case.

I just found this today in the 375ml bottles for 15 bucks each. I bought two, a fifth total, for 30 bucks plus tax. Just tried it and it's good. I'm going back there tomorrow when they open and buy at least 4 more or whatever they have left

This is a must have.....by the case. It is so good! It was as though they started slightly snobby, but when the ABV became the topic eyes were like YES! Flavor and ABV ....hard to beat, by the way its Tennessee Whiskey! Middle Tennessee Real Estate!

I got a bottle of this a few months back while visiting the Jack Daniel's distillery. I opened it the night I was told I was going to be a grandfather. I was too distracted by the news to remember if I liked it or not. Helpful hint, Don't visit JD until after they are fully reopened. We didn't get to see much.
