In out last video I caught a Jack Crevalle that unfortunately choked my plug and bleed himself out. I believe if you kill something you should eat it. So we decided to make a video of us cooking and eating what we have always been told is a TRASH FISH! We were going to have a Jack-Off, meaning we all cook it a different was and see what way is best. I decided to just fry it. I've never had bad fried fish. This one surprised all of us. It's pretty funny...

I think if you get into the bigger Jacks they get a little bit fishy but the small ones are not too bad. Nice catch and cant wait for the next Jack off lol that line had me rolling. Tight lines
Not surprised about the Jack. I myself have smoked Carp and fried Gar steaks. As the old saying goes "Don't knock it 'till you try it!" Plus both are a blast to catch!!!

I met a bow fisherman that would fry gar up into strips. It's actually tasty. Growing up, everyone said they're nasty. I guess because they stink and are slimy.
