Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Liberec Region Emergency Medical Services (Zdravotnická záchranná služba Libereckého kraje) ambulance 311 and doctor car 315 emergency transporting to the Jablonec nad Nisou Hospital. Taken from 2 slightly different angles.
Read more about the 2 vehicles below, the description includes the chassis, lights & sirens and opinions.
About the doctor car:
The chassis:
Typically Czech EMS doctor cars were based on regular cars and sometimes SUV's as well. Things changed in the past 5 years. Following is a list what's been typically now (since about 2012).
The most common doctor cars are light SUV's, mostly the Skoda Yeti: • Liberec ZZS Libereckéh...
Regular cars are still used (like the Skoda Octavia): get.google.com/u/0/albumarchi...
Then we got SUV's. There are some Regions and companies which use the Volkswagen Touareg: • Hradec Králové EMS doc... and the capital which is the only one to use the Mercedes M class • Prague EMS doctor car ...
The Liberec Region went a new way with using pick up trucks. 3 Toyota Hilux were purchased at the end of 2015 and went in service in early 2016. As I got told the Liberec Region EMS has a new director who switched the fleet to Mercedes Sprinter ambulances and purchased the Hilux doctor cars. The reason they went for Toyota Hilux is pretty simple. The terrain of the region, including calls far off the roads and the conditions during the winter.
The lights & sirens:
The doctor car has a total of 10 Whelen LINZ6 lights which are used as grill lights (2), intersection lights (2), rear side lighting (2) and 4 in the back of which 2 are blue and 2 amber (used as blinkers and probably scene lighting). On the mirrors are some unknown lights which are not bright (compare them to the other small lights). If you look closely you can see a dash light as well but it's not activated (or plugged in). The lightbar is a Whelen Justice. As you can see only the lights in the 45° angle are turned on while another 8 lightheads in the lightbar are of. I guess the manufacturer who built the lightbar onto the vehicle did not activate those lights or they're switched off but Czech vehicles usually only have 1 or 2 options - all lights on (or just minimum lighting). I honestly don't know why they installed the lightbar so far in the rear. My thoughts would be those: The lightbar remains well visible to the front and the rear due to the position on the highest point of the car. Mounting it in the front would make no difference, only that the lightbar cannot be seen from behind the vehicle. But mounting it in the front would give the vehicle a better intersection lighting since the lightbar would be above most of the other vehicles in traffic when entering intersections (while intersection lights may be not seen behind other vehicles or they're too small/ too low).
The siren is a Whelen Epsilon I believe and the speaker is a YH100-3A, don't know the company who made that.
They definitely should fix the lightbar and dash light.
Opinions:
From what I've heard from the workers they have mixed feelings about the Toyota Hilux. It's a little big for the city they work in (with a population of 40,000). But great on the countryside.
I personally totally like the pick up and this car was the reason for me to travel there. I do like that light setup, very interesting one.

KZread limits the description length which is the reason why I can't put it in here.

Great video! It looks like you were out in the middle of nowhere and getting a catch there would be almost impossible 😝

Have you looked Jablonec nad Nisou up on Google Maps? lol It's somehow in the middle of nowhere, pretty small town compared what I'm used to. When I got there I first thought I would be happy to get like 3 videos there and one of that doctor car, which was the reason why I've been to that town. Turned out that I got more videos than I thought and 3 catches of the doctor car.

Oh I am sorry. I saw this just this morning and forgot to comment. Nice catches. Like the doctor car. We don't have those in the US. For severe medical emergencies, duty chiefs and bataliion chiefs respond depending if it is in the urban or rural area.

No need to say sorry, commenting also isn't required lol But thank you. I'm glad that only a few countries have the doctor based EMS system. I don't like it. The paramedic system works much better and it's just sickening to wait for doctors to arrive on scene of severe medical calls and not be allowed to give certain very critical, pain easing and life saving drugs (the laws may vary in different countries). Doctors belong into hospitals and doctor offices. Instead they're waiting for emergency calls and then perform the same which paramedics could do.. what a waste. It's an expensive system. Germany for example has a huge problem since it's short on doctors. People have to wait months for certain appointments. Even doctors from other (mostly east European countries) work in German hospitals.

Lightbar on the top has law reasons. Czech law says light must be on the highest vehicles spot.

If that's still present, then it's one of these typical ridiculous outdated laws

RTobi (Rummeltobi) Still present and you're right. One ridiculous invisible strobe light is more then many high visible LED lights in forward of car in laws view because law says something like "light must be visible in 360° in 1,5m high of floor and in 5m radius" maybe numbers aren't right but law says similarly.
