Thats not really the genius of Bach, that's just the way arranged sounds work. if it flows and it sounds good, it will sound good.

Bach is the greatest composer that ever lived, his well tempered clavier is a masterpiece.

I agree wholeheartedly that Bach is the greatest! I love me some Chopin and Rachmaninoff, Scarlatti, Handel, Haydn too, but Bach is IT!

Laura, You are a phenomenal guitarist and musican! I've been playing guitar for 50 years and I've heard the very best guitarists of all styles of music, and yet young guitarists such as yourself still amaze and inspire me.

It does't matter what instrument is being played. Everytime I hear Bach played, a shiver runs up my spine, my cheeks flush and my eyes well up with tears of joy. Well done Laura, you made it happen again 😂!

I've listened to much of Malmsteen and different neo classical guitarists, but can say this after watching your videos. You're talent and ability to arrange these pieces so that they ACTUALLY sound like originals is nothing short of amazing! Really hope you continue making videos, especially videos like this!

Il serait probable que Jean-Sébastien Bach, là où il se trouve et en écoutant cette musique, interprétée de la sorte, pourrait se demander s'il ne l'aurait pas spécialement écrit pour cet instrument tellement "c'est extra" comme le chantait Léo Ferré. Un accordéoniste, jouant ce compositeur, se demandait si elle n'avait pas été écrite pour son instrument et je me demande si chaque musicien, l'interprétant, ne se poserait pas la même question. Vous l'aurez compris sans doute, j'adore cette universalité, l'art c'est cela avant tout, intemporel et sans frontière, merci Laura, c'est sublime.

Its just about feel. Just becuase she is female and can play... and the world puts them on a pedastal for being female, that doesnt mean everyone has to like it. Especially guitarists. She feels literally nothing while every note is perfect. Some people want to feel it in their soul and bones and not just admire female gender trophys becuase they can do what guys can do and because youtube think we should. These youtube gen z women dont have the fire inside. They just play well.

incredible skill from someone so young , my faith in humanity is restored if this is the "youth of today " , well done kid you are an amazing musician .

I see many young people learning a lot of stuff, also with the help of Internet. It's a pity that schools have a fixed programme which one must learn even if one doesn't want to. Many young people have great hobbies.

RSProduxx Dude, yep. I don’t really listen to metal now. All I do is listen to classical now and Gregoria’s chant. Occasionally I’ll try to find a metal Classical like this.

There is a tradition of metal covers of classical songs, but they aren't very diverse. This is a straight cover that brings very little to the mix.

fantastic transitions from tapping to the big goose-egg power chords! and the third section with all the pedal tone lines was articulated beautifully!!

Yeah, that crossing hands was pretty cool. I don't tap much, I've never seen that.

The high score screen from Space Harrier on the Commodore 64 has finally been surpassed. Before now, that was my favourite rendition of Bach's prelude No2.

Sometimes, I watch guitar videos and think about the technique. I'll have thoughts like "yes, I can achieve this" or "I would interpret this part differently". Nope, not here. Not only is it technically impressive, but all movements make sense, and the tone sounds clean. It's perfect. It's amazing. Bach smiles from heaven when he sees the love and care you put into his work. I would be proud of this accomplishment. I can't wait to hear more from you!

I do agree. All the rythmic patterns exists within the music itself. Drums and bass are often redundant. I hope the girl will find her way and develope her art.

I don't like the drums or bass here. I wonder what it would sound like clean too - I think I'd prefer the definition in the notes. I wonder what it would sound like with death metal double kick and an evil choir though.

MAN, fingerstyling has turned the guitar into about ten times the instrument it was previous to that manner of play. Very nice!

@dread true True, it is physically accomplished by tapping (off or on (hammerons), or plucking), but I think the whole 'mode' of play is called fingerstyle guitar...is that not true? I wouldn't be surprised if some people have used hammering for centuries either, but I think it has been relatively recent that it has come into large scale use. I'm not a guitarist, so I'm just relating what I have seen and heard them saying, but that is the way I understand it. Cheers. PS If this is crap, and someone who plays and is familiar with the topic knows better, feel free.

@dread true Cool, thx for the info, you are obviously in a better position than I am to comment. "slap (used in Funky, mostly)" SLAP, like bass? Davie504 is another channel favorite of mine, totally silly, quite funny, I think. And that dude really CAN slap that bass, I wanna tell ya. I'm half seriously thinking about picking up the keyboard in the office I got years ago and learning...who knows....maybe. There seems to be a lot of good free info out there now on learning keyboards. Have a good one. ;)

@dread true i first saw a tapping album of guitar insrumental in 1978 when disco was going out and "new" wave was just coming in. the market was starving for new stuff.
