Beautifully played. I've been playing this lovely little prelude by Mister Bach for over 65 years, and you and I play it nearly identically, with the small variations in tempo and volume because, I have no doubt, we both play it from our hearts. Such a simple little work by Johann, but full of emotion... And one of my lifetime favorite works of his. And I love that it was chosen by thirteen year-old Lucy Illingworth, who is blind and autistic, to perform at the coronation concert for Prince (now King) Charles this past summer... a beautiful abbreviated version, with the full string section of the London Symphony Orchestra softly accompanying her.

Transcending time and space and races, Bach‘s music heals and purifies and warms and enriches people‘s hearts

Some sources say that Bach composed the first part of the well-tempered clavier when he was bored without an instrument. Excellent interpretation!

Thank you! I guess I don't have enough showy videos with advanced pieces (yet!). All my videos are smaller performances. But I do wish to get more engagements!

Nice rendition well played - thank you. My last piano has been shipped to the grandkids. I have experimented playing this piece with no changes in tempo. I like the constant tempo results in that it gives an eerie result that has a wonderful nuance that to me is very enjoyable. You might like to try it.

I pedalled in the beginning of each bar and let go of it slowly as the bar progresses to get a simpler more innocent sound on the last notes. Maybe in the last few lines I did more pedal to get a fuller/stronger sound.

Mat I use this beautiful version for a short movie I made on painting in a church in Holland ( not commercial)

It is not included in the urtext edition I used. I wasn't even aware such a thing existed :D After hearing a version with it I still think there is no need for its inclusion.

Parece en principio fácil de tocar pero no, es lenta y con una profundidad que por mucho que yo la toque no llego a la intention de Bach como muchos que sí saben hacerlo. Da gusto oirlo a gente que sabe..

Just a tip, this piece is easy note wise, but takes a while to get the technique right and achieve some nuance in the musicality department. Pedal use requires some thought too.

Technique used here is: press pedal at the beginning of each bar and let go slowly towards the end of the bar to get a simpler more detached sound in the last notes of the bar. Some bars put let go earlier, some bars (specially towards the end of the piece) let go later or not at all. This should create enough variation.

​ C'est parce que j'ai utilisé un échantillon de piano virtuel pour enregistrer, même si mon piano est un Yamaha U3. Malheureusement, mon studio est chez moi donc je ne peux pas toujours enregistrer en acoustique à cause des voisins.

Мне тоже очень понравилось, но пианино почему-то звучит как электронное.
