If Jürgen Klopp was asked to produce a docu-series about himself, how would he go about it?
We think Jürgen would tell the stories of the people and places that have influenced and impacted him throughout his career as a football player and manager.
Supported by ERDINGER, The Anfield Wrap travelled to Glatten, Frankfurt, Mainz, Dortmund and around Liverpool to hear unique stories from the German’s journey, told by those who know him best.
The five part docu-series explores five recurring themes throughout Jürgen's story -- challenge, culture, journey, winning and legacy -- and features footballers that played with and under him, friends that stood by his side through thick and thin, colleagues that helped him move to the next level and the fans that gave him their undying support throughout.
In the fourth instalment of our documentary series on the career of Jürgen Klopp we look into his biggest wins at Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund and Mainz 05.
From the lows of defeat in Kyiv, The Reds bounced back from a 0-3 deficit in Barcelona to complete the greatest comeback Anfield has ever seen, before lifting the club's sixth European Cup in Madrid. The following season they went 27 games unbeaten to romp to a first Premier League title that even a global pandemic couldn't take away from them.
Klopp of course already had a strong reputation before he arrived on Merseyside because of his success with BVB, no less their back-to-back Bundesliga-winning seasons in 2011 and 2012, putting a halt to Bayern Munich's reign of dominance in Germany.
And of course, it was his time in Mainz that started the whole thing. After missing out on promotion twice in the most heartbreaking circumstances, his team managed to secure it at the third time of asking and in the most dramatic way on the final day of the 2003-4 season.

This is by far the most emotionally rewarding documentary I’ve ever seen about this great club. At the heart of this is of course Jurgen. Not a perfect man by any means but what a leader. An inspiration to everyone associated with the Reds. Well done and thank you Anfield Wrap and partners for giving us this memorable piece about one of the great eras of Liverpool FC.

LFC, BVB, Mainz 05 have all something in common ! A exremly passioned fan base. Klopp uses that. He could never be a Bayern Munich coach because the passion is not there. Great documentry, thanks ! YNWA❤️, Heja BVB💛🖤

Brilliant & very emotional documentary about one of the greatest coaches in football history. It's great for me as a german fan that you included the stories of Mainz & Dortmund cause it shows how his progress in every club was very similar. He had tough losses to overcome with his teams, but he made them always come back stronger & I'm sure we'll come back stronger next season again! YNWA! ❤

So glad i got to celebrate a liverpool league title with my mam, my beautifuk mam, the biggest red you'd ever find, she passed away in march to cancer, sitting in tears here now missing her but so happy we had that

Can't help but watch this with a tinge of sadness that those days are behind us and some of these players have moved on or will be soon. We need to go again. If anyone can do it, Klopp can and I believe these new set of players coming in will write their own history in the next few years.

True. How Jürgen Klopp changed the path of three clubs so dramatically is simply impressive. This documentary showed perfectly every step be made and how he impacted this cities and clubs

Hi Nic. Again a great video and 5.30 christ, thought there was only 1 of those in a day. A Buckingham guy tild me that the stand doesn't need to be finished, Just open. Bums on seats. Seems to be a pish on the outside. Just under 6 weeks until Bournemouth. I can't imagine what its going to be like if the outside still looks like a building sight. They have to have the outside done

Wouldn't it have made more sense to show everything chronologically? This chaos from Liverpool back to Dortmund and Mainz, back from 2012 to 2003................ POINTLESS, MORALNESS.............. And forward But above all, you call it JÜRGEN and in some cases he is barely mentioned or barely shown in an hour-long film... This is truly a "masterpiece" to show filmmakers how you shouldn't do it under any circumstances! I'm really disappointed by this chaos of documentary!
