The chorus hooks you in and you sing it with him by the end of the first listen. That's how you accru points. Meanwhile, his voice is impeccable.

I'm team William here. And you know, I'm a Belgian, and for once, we seem to be very positive en enthusiastic about our entry which doesn't happen often. We DO think he will qualify, this song doesn't need that much of a staging, and we know he can deliver it live, juries will love it, and televote as well because it's such a radiofiendly but still original song, with gospel, r&b vibes

the chorus is simple... Yes ! And so you sing along again and again... The first times I heard it... it stays with me all day long ! so it may catch the viewers

Jeremie is a terrific singer and if you caught any of his performances on The Voice of Belgium you know what I mean. Kudos to Belgium for giving him this opportunity at Eurovision. I don't expect the song to win but I hope that it makes the final so that Jeremie will have a worldwide stage watching him perform.

This is going to be a jury favorite

Belgium is my absolute winner this year! Beautiful song and incredible vocal. It is clear that European audience are not so excited about an R&B song but the song will sure stand out and the jury will give it a massive amount of score. Someone may say the production is lacking something, but no, the song has excellent production, just enough to highlight Jérémie's vocal and still has dramatic feel from the gospel choir. Space Man from UK is the over-produced song with edited vocal (not hating Sam tho, I love his natural vocal, the piano version of the song is my jam and I prefer that version over the official one). And some says this song is unoriginal. Oh pls, the fact that it has the same gerne with some songs out there does not make it unoriginal. And when was the last time Eurovision had a R&B song?

This is SO GOOD. Belgium to me NEVER fails, it seems they do their songs to me. 😭♥️

I think that we as Belguim are very underrated, not only this year but also the years before. We’re almost every year outsiders but the song this year just has to be in the top 5.

I think that if he slays it live (which I think is highly likely), this might be a real dark horse.

Personally i love the song.. If he can deliver this live, i see something good happening here!!

Actually really liked this one!

I said it in another channel, but this song is not as viewed or appreciated, in fact I think this song is the most underrated song this year, because of its time of release and its genre. The latter, it is a big ballad bait turned into an R&B hit, and it's a sharp left turn to expectations. It is amazingly transitioned, the lyrics are easy to remember, and you can see people remembering this song easily on the first listen. The former, because the song's official music video is released pretty much almost at the same time as Sam Ryder's Space Man for the UK, and it just appeals to more people as a pop ballad compared to an R&B track, with the same vocal dexterity that is shown. Adding to the fact that Jeremie Makiese was the first artist revealed for this year's Eurovision makes him kind of at the back of the mind for a lot of people, just like Bulgaria's entry this year, just that this entry is just much better overall compared to Bulgaria's entry.

Absolutely love this! My winner and pick for the dark horse at Eurovision this year. A top placing is very much possible if they don't mess up their staging like they tend to do.

Hmm, interesting opinion on Miss You...Deban. This song and Breathe are the best when it comes to vocals delivery and that chorus, flipping from clean mix voice and than adding distortion on top of it makes it for me, in my books at least ,the best chorus we have at Eurovision this year. This will be a top 5 for sure and as simple as it might sound... why don't you try and sing it , hon?

I'm not super confident of Belgium's chances of qualifying like William seems to be. He seems to think that great staging is inevitable because of Laura Tesoro but he forgets that Eliot had terrible staging and he didn't qualify.

I am super confident that Belgium is a sure qualifier this year. Eliot didn't have Jeremies vocals and with so many weak countries in that SF this will qualify. I can even see it winning this SF.

@@adrianos7334 I disagree with your claim of there being a lot of "weak" countries. Sweden has a potential Eurovision winner. Cyprus, Poland, and Australia both have strong entries that could make top ten. Also Estonia and Czech Republic both have radio-friendly entries that can appeal to both televoters and juries.

Eliot's song was much worse though. The chorus was flat-out BAD. And he did not give good vocals either whereas I am pretty sure Jeremie will bring it.

How Debbon can exaggerate. A real drama queen. He behaves as if he knows everything about music. And he goes on and on about the chorus. It's not the first time Debbon has completely missed the point and got it wrong. William knows more about music. Debbon, go home please, go to mummy, old man. It reminded me of Usher. It's not bad, but it doesn't fit Eurovision for me. He should have signed for the American Song Contest.

It will make the finals because.....hey...it's Belgium. Very underwhelming song, vocals are "ok" but it will get lost amongst better ones in the semi.
