That's just crazy! J.R. was the only one having any dealings with an international terrorist why drag the entire Ewing family into this mess because of JR I mean JR's done a lot of bad things in the past but international terrorists is serious business I mean JR could have went to prison, he could've gotten Bobby and Ray sent up the creek without a paddle and they weren't the ones being involved with an international terrorist JR is, why could they possibly be going down with JR cause they did their job for them cause they obviously couldn't take that international terrorist guy down themselves Bobby and Ray just took him down for them, maybe they could possibly go after Bobby and Ray for taking the law into their own hands and why not the law sure ain't good at protecting people, never has been and probably never will be but anyway JR is the only one that should go to jail because he's gotten away with too much already and it's high time that JR learn that sooner or later there are consequences for the terrible things that you do and that you just can't keep getting away with things I mean this time one of JR's stupid schemes could have gotten innocent people killed like his own son for one thing or he could've gotten his own self killed by this wackbag as it was he was injured but in the end as usual JR gets away with it again but he could've went to jail but it's good they made him sweat it for awhile, making him think he could go to jail.

Clayton is so dumb here. If he seceded in killing JR then Miss Ellie would never forgive him. I’m sure he knew that somewhere. If Jock were alive, he wouldn’t of punched him, but call him into the den downstairs and in a rageful voice demand to know why he did what he had done.

What JR did was probably in the best interests of the family. No need for Clayton launch an unprovoked attack.

It had to do with John Ross and Christopher being kidnapped by BD Calhoun, and JR, Bobby and Ray retaliated by killing Calhoun and his henchmen, and the Senator told Donna they were in trouble for trying to save the boys instead of letting the authorities handle it. The Ewing men thought the boys' lives would be in grave danger if the authorities got involved so they took matters into their own hands.

@@harperstacey9604 I agree. He was there for Sue Ellen when she left JR; he let her stay at his Southern Cross Ranch and was more of a father figure to her, though he did have feelings for her. Sue Ellen inadvertently got Clayton and Miss Ellie together (their first meeting was when JR used Miss Ellie to get John Ross away from Sue Ellen at the Southern Cross Ranch; JR came in a helicopter). Ellie deserved to find love again after Jock. People think that because she lost Jock, they wanted her to remain a widow. Until recently, there was a mentality that a widow should remain a widow and that it was improper to move on with someone else, especially an older person like Miss Ellie.
