I am profoundly moved by the sheer decency and compassion displayed by Mr. Straczynski in dealing with his friend, and the generosity and courage exhibited by Mr. O'Hare in thinking of his friends and their careers.

I was always in the minority but I thought O'Hare did a great job as Sinclair. I greatly enjoyed his chemistry with Catherine Sakai and Garibaldi and I was sad to see him go. You will be missed.

I'm a huge fan of Babylon 5, and now I've got immense respect for J. Michael Straczynksi, not just for his work, but as a person.

This is such a sad story. Both O'Hare and Straczynski are real heroes for the way they helped each other out. I just watched the final episode of season 1 again : Sinclair's, and the season's, final words, are "nothing's the same anymore".

As a fan with my own serious mental health problems, I think my respect for JMS just quadrupled.

o'hare was a hero imho. i suffer from depression and anxiety. JMS is a great human being. he went out of his way for his actor. other people in the entertainment business just care about the money and don't gibe a crap about the actors/actresses.

So sad... it's incredible to look at the calm and measured performance he gave in season 1, now knowing what he was going through. RIP, Michael - and thanks for letting us know the real story of why you left.

He was the one that was - Zathrus knows it - rest in peace , with the knowledge that many people all over the world will not forget what you added to the Babylon 5 cast! Such a sad tale tho , and sad to see so many great members who now watch us from the stars!

wow I never knew. I was told by an insider there were problems but not what it was. Kudos to JMS for keeping the secret and helping so much and Kudos to Micheal for working so damn hard to complete that first season

Having suffered from a lesser form of mental illness for all of my life, I would describe it as an internal struggle that lasts a lifetime. A war inside that never ends. I cannot imagine the war that was being waged inside Michael O'Hare's mind and heart. And it's heartbreaking to really think of how hard he fought in that war to rebuild his life, only to fall horribly one last time.

My sister suffered from this -Alas she is never been the same and lost the battle with hers, though she is still with us, just. I understand his dilemma but I admire him for sticking with his friend and being there for him.
