Cool. Extra cool in fact STB. Man nobody reacts to JJ Cale; most people have never even heard of him, even though he wrote many songs that they know. I was turned on to Troubadour when I was in college in the 70s. A very mellow esoteric sound he has. "Ride Me High" is one of my all time favorites; it has such a cool groove. Most excellent reaction video.

JJ had such a laid-back, minimalist approach to music. We're listening to this the way I first heard it when it was a brand new release...on vinyl...very Old School! Even with whole horn sections, JJ managed to use just enough, and not overpower the rest of the instruments...tasteful arrangements. If this is your dad's music, he has great taste in music! Hope the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, good sir!

Well, then I'm a lucky SOB! JJ found me in the mid-70's! Guess I was ready at a young age.

Love me some JJ Cale. Very Underrated artist IMO. His laid back personality, and laid back grooves, never really clicled with the charts too much. Luckily, he had some champions like Eric Clapton to help him escape obscurity. Great songwriter, but a real understated vocalist. You are right Wayne. Nothin' brings those memories back like music!

A good friend in college introduced me to JJ Cale. Been hooked ever since and thankfully got to see him at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta before he passed. Great reaction - glad you enjoyed it!

You should really do the 'Naturally' album too. J.J himself disliked the record but fans love it. It was his breakout recording. Plenty of KZread versions

Daryl Hance's musical partner in Mofro is nicknamed JJ Grey. He also contributed to a JJ Cale tribute album, so there seems to be a strong connection there.

Hey my guy I really like your perspectives. It might not be your jam but would you consider movie reactions? Have you seen fight club, Shawshank, Harry Potter, Star Wars, get out, back to the future, the graduate 67 film, the iron giant, prisoners, memento etc? I could see you having a really interesting take on them
