This is the nuttiest bass chop I’ve ever heard
Questlove said Rick James Give It To Me Baby was unsampleable. Dilla then did this unreal shit. Good god this is amazing along with the lots of Dilla's productions. Rest In Palaces to the King of the Beats.

honestly it's not too hard. not easy by any means, but i can see how he did it. he chopped up the bass with the kicks and masked it with his own.
dear lord. thank you for showing me this guy's channel and j dilla's music. period!!!
As I write this, i’m still tryna figure out how he sampled “Give It to Me Baby” to make this. Smh he was a pure genius 😂

Well, I don't make those type of videos, try asking onceit isover or Gio Pitskhelauri to create one for this, they usually provide good extended versions of Dilla beats

🐐
I never heard this in instrumental form. It's very Detroit but I feel l some Hi Tek undertones.
Does anyone know the piano sample?
Where is this image from?

It's one frame from Slum Villlage - Climax Official Music Video
I wonder how long it took him to get this pattern down. Prolly took 3 or 4 secs.
And Common did the same thing with his lyrics.
Chi-town. CO-double-M O to the N East-coast Snoop and West-coast Ice try far too hard to seem hard. Notice how none of them dare to talk shit about Chicago. It's just Common Sense.
