The effortlessness of Ron playing those key and creating a masterpiece on something he just heard for the first time like 2min ago still boggles my mind
I love how he has a piano guy on his crew, I know Cole would know his piano abit but he seeks the best just to add their flair to the work, I and I think alot of people need to learn to ask for help and/or just to add on instead of trying to do everything alone

This is exactly what i needed thanks 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Inspirational to see J in his workspace
I discovered this brilliant video in 2017 and it was one of the first few firestarters for me to get my head in the right direction and put more time and energy into my music. I'm a Hindi rap artist and though, the scene hasn't took off as much as elsewhere here in India, I still feel like I'm behind. But whenever that insecurity starts to eat me up, I find myself coming back here to Jermaine cooking up another masterpiece. He's legitimately one of the proper goats and if I meet him one day, I'ma thank him for inspiring persistence into me, which tbh is one of the most important things to take with on the journey to greatness (to all my family out there just starting out).
I guarantee J. Cole has got dozens of beats like this, especially if he's just fxcking around on his tour bus. My guess is we probably won't hear this.

Lmaoo come back for the fall off
I LOVE that contemplation at the end where he just _needs_ to sit down having realized he's just created something FIRE. A man with a soul
Always cool to see artists at work
the way jcole settled into that couch at the end and was just *feeling* the piano... i felt that
How has he not dropped a classic to this??!

Cole gave this beat to a rapper named Caleborate. He turned it into a song called “Produced by Cole” check him out he has other good songs too. He shouts out Cole in song for the beat too.
The passion this man has for the craft is so inspiring. That feeling when you're just exploring all the possibilities. I love how he said "That's what we were waiting for." Because he knew it was only a matter of time before he got a hit! 😂 Legend.
beautiful session
It’s 2022 and he needs to make this available. As one last single!
I'm lowkey pissed this didn't make it on 4 Your Eyez Only

Tha Blakk Boi it might've probably been over shadowed by all the other bangers on FHD. Too much sauce on that joint to not make any album tho.

Them 808s go hard. These studio moments inspire me to grind harder in my beat making process. Thank you J.Cole for a rare glimpse into your music creating process.
2020 still waiting for this to drop love you cole
Always gotta back to this video 🙏🏾💯
Its 2019 and I still keep coming back to this beat

go to the song next. produced by j.cole - Caleborate
I always end up coming back to this vid. I don't music anything like this, but the inspiration it gives me (and I'm sure you as well if you're watching this video) is fkn powerful.
I found this years ago before I even had a notion to get into producing. I thought it was cool then and have recently fallen in love with Stevie, especially Lately. Finding this again and realising this is crazy
I still randomly come back to this vid just to listen to the last 40 seconds that usb just bangs too hardddd
J.Cole as a producer is underrated 🔥🔥🔥🔥
1:55 _Idk what it is, but I could see it in J. Cole's eyes, and when he said "Fire", I instantly knew, this guy is one of the best artists of our time. Not only does he make a majority of his own beats, he raps on them, he produces them. Not many artists nowadays have the talent J. Cole has._

@1tHraxTV I saw it too. He was listening to feel what Ron was playing. He was anticipating it and, as SOON as he felt it he looked up and you could see his face relax. I think it is amazing to know that the both of us aren't the only ones who recognized and saw that. And I don't know where it came from in Ron, but literally, his melody pulled all of my pain out of hiding. And made me weep. This was beautiful to watch. They both are truly artists.

every producers dream. have someone you just say “lay some keys down on this for me” man i know we all love drums 💀💀💀
You have gifted mind. It is rare to find an artist who can rap on his own beat. An artist who can rap and produce beats is a good artist but an artist who can rap to his own beat that is truly great.

Well you got Kanye West, Havoc, DJ Quik, Daz Dillinger, Dr Dre who all produce their own songs and rap over it
4 years later and we still waiting for this track 🙏🏼

He probably cant clear that Stevie Wonder sample. And they uses it on some corny song by coleborate-produced by j.cole. wld have preferred to hear J.Cole himself on this.
This is beat making at its finest! Watched this like 1000x already never fails to inspire
I pray Cole turns this into a track, I need to hear the rest of this, it's an itch I can't scratch!

Sameeee. Its sad that producers make fire beats but they scrap it eventually but this one would be fire! I like the smooth chill sound of it
