Yes Will, it's definitely worth an upgrade and I already did by upgrading my Music Production Suite to version 3, which includes Ozone 9 😉. My favorite module until now, is the "Low end Focus" but other modules/features might challenge that over time. Over and out from 30.000 feet over Holland 🛩

Eh I'm not upgrading, I'll wait a year or two maybe... I'll get the same discount probably. I just bought O8 standard and Neutron standard last year, and they more than fit my needs for now!! :)

If you're only mastering your own music like I do and you can modify the mix then you don't really need all this. The only thing I noticed that I would like to have is the more wide range of presets in the tonal balance module (rock, pop etc.) since in 8 you only have three (bass heavy, modern and orchestral I think). Other than that I don't know about the quality of the mastering assistant. Is the output better in your opinion or is it the same as in 8 (meaning did they improve the internal algorithms of mastering assistant with this new version) and also does the mastering assistant work in all of the song or only on just a few bars like in 8 (they suggest to start from the louder part of the song if I remember correctly)?

To be honest, I haven't used it enough! I tend to use my own chain for mastering rather than the presets, although it does always include the Ozone 9 Imager (which is better than 8) and the Vintage Limiter.

I have Ozone 8 and I don`t use it. I upgraded to Ozone 9 and I don't use it. I suspect I am doing something wrong there.

It would have helped if you let us to hear you before/after for a longer time to hear and compare (don't mind you talking at all thought :) Just what they show is usually on deep house sparse with female vox, giving dead bass/drum and obviously Machine Learning skynet woodoo does pull it up. Would love to listen it on real tech prod like your packed fat sausage to really understand what the thing does to EDM/Electronic track. Cool vid Will! Sub!

Currently using a cracked version of ozone 7 advanced, I got a copy of ozone 8 elements and I can upgrade to ozone 9 advanced for 270 euros. I can get ozone 8 advanced for 230 euros. Would it be a worthy investment in your opinion to get ozone 9? I do want to go completely legit, so it would be a good step.

Yep...sounds like a good plan to me. I'll probably get a lot of stick for saying this (and I'm not condoning it), but I've used cracked versions of almost every piece of software at some point. Then, after a year or two of using it (and it's integrated into my workflow), I've bought it. Sometimes a 2 week trial just isn't enough to try something out fully.

@@EDMTips Awesome, and I know most people actually do that. I recently started a study music production and they actually advice cracking a vst before buying it. Try before you buy. Ofcourse do support the company if you like their stuff.

It does look like that, yes, but it wasn't; it was just supplied with no headroom
