To be fair she was never ugly. There are idols who literally got new faces and look like a different person pre PS. She had already gone viral for her beauty prior to getting surgery. Now she just looks prettier.

This is actually a very well done analysis. I had the same assumptions bc the tweakments are very subtle. These surgeries rly emphasized her best features, but her before appearance was also rly cute.

@@peachy_bubbles Most plastic surgeons only use like 3 pictures as reference. Of course they can miss a few surgical procedures, while fans know the idol’s before and after face well. Some surgeons like Dr. Lee even re-analyze the same idols bc they missed a few details. It’s pretty normal smh, they aren’t god.

@@daydreamergal She was like 13 yrs old when she was in Iz*One and it disbanded 3 years later. She debuted in IVE when she was 17. Her face started to change in 2020 meaning she went through plastic surgery obivously but her smile/laugh and bubbliness is the same even with her newer appearance. I followed Iz*One since debut so I can still recognize her but to newer fans, it can be surprising

I think it’s also possible she’s had a mandibuloplasty (which is shaving the jaw down to reduce its size). Either way her work was done really well and she looks great. I don’t see plastic surgery as a bad thing really, I actually find it quite fascinating.

​@@feyriev-line procedures are super obvious when they are done. you can especially tell from the side profile, where the jaw angle is no longer there and instead replaced by an unaturally straight line (due to surgical shaving). plus, the face will look like it is protruding out of the neck (ex: yoona, wendy, karina, taeyeon). wonyoung probably gets botox on her jaw instead.

​@@haewonsluvrrr5300 jaw botox will not reduce you face size unless the muscle is over grown, a good plastic surgeon (which majority of idols have access to thank goodness) usually enhance on what is already there. Sure facial angles can be checked but different faces and jaws require different surgeries, people with a larger jaw angle can not recieve the same surgery and expect similar or the same results as someone with a smaller jaw angle got, there are so many nuances to this that we miss because we are not doctors, who specialised in ps, or even further in facial ps. Plastic surgery is such a fascinating field of medicine, after Ortho, Neuro, and Cardio, Plastics is definitely up there.

eyes, nose, and jaw* she hasn't done anything on her cheeks or chin. she likely gets botox done on her jaw so the only actual surgical procedures were eyes + nose. keep in mind she always had double eyelids to start out with. wonyoung is not the "plastic" face you people want her to be so badly for some reason, if anything, the work she had was so minimal compared to the average kpop idol. she's simply pretty 🤷‍♀️

I've always thought that K-pop idols lose the ability to show facial emotions after plastic surgery. Your explanation of the lip corner lift validates my suspicions. Even if they're feeling sad, they'll look in the mirror and see a permanently happy face.

Nah it's just that SK surgeons are great for doing lips. Western surgeons are better at rhinoplasties and BBL, SK surgeons are better for pretty much everything else.

She has always been naturally pretty, which is why she has always done modeling jobs throughout her idol career. I hope she didn’t get work done because someone encouraged her or pressured her to do so, because she didn’t need it.

That’s really sad. She looked good or even better before. No one is perfect - but everybody is unique!

Wonyoung was already one of the most beautiful girls in kpop before all the ps but she still had all of this work done. Self-image issues is bound to happen in this industry. Also, pretty privilege is real. Whoever doesn't accept that, see this girlie.

I know fuck all about surgery but i know with some surgeries, if things are going INTO your face, it can be moved if you hit it hard (for example if you get a nose job) AND that it restricts facial movement (let's say for example chin fillers, you can't move your face as much with them). SO HERE'S MY THEORY. Do you think groups with lazy scandals because they can't sing are possibly struggling due to surgery,or maybe too much surgery? Having loads of plastic in your face is surely gonna make you struggle astleast a little, so maybe that's why some idols don't bother sometimes. But idk lmao fuck I only got this info from Jeffree star caus he almost wacked his nose implant out when he accidentally hit his face and he didn't even hit it hard,maybe im WAYYY off but idk. That's an interesting theory. And when I think about it.. the entirety of aespa get criticised for their lack of facial expressions while performing (I remember Winter getting lots of hate for looking "bored"), and if you look at their pre-debut pics and how their faces have changed since debut, it becomes obvious that they all have gotten lots of plastic surgery done. Especially Giselle & Winter. Maybe their faces are so stiff from the work & tweaking, that they cannot 'emote' properly, leading to them having a dead face while performing? 🧐

Forehead reduction as well. It created an illusion of a double jaw being done. Mid face with age should get a bit longer. But she’s only 18, and the forehead shorten drastically. Complete opposite of aging (for anyone who likes to think glow ups can happen like this)

I’m so angry that so many idols get plastic surgery. Idols are people that fans look up to and want to be like them. But if all of them are all the same or get plastic surgery to look “perfect”, how are we suppose to feel good about ourself, knowing that idols that had the same nose or lips got plastic surgery to “fix it”

I was so jealous of her looks before the plastic surgery, and I'm still jealous after 🤣🤣 Wonyoung is an idol. As an idol, it's honestly part of their job to get plastic surgery. I mean, their whole career is their image. The whole world watches them. And, honestly, people like them more if they are beautiful. Getting plastic surgery is just being responsible as a celebrity. A kpop idols career is based on their talent, their singing, their performances. Not their looks. They’re not models. Secondly, everybody is beautiful and unique in their own way. Only having specific features is not what makes you beautiful. These are meaningless thoughts that are just in your head. If you learn to accept urself, then other people will have to as well. Because confidence and the energy you radiate is what makes the difference.

It's already a standard practice to them in Skorea. Like it's common, it's normal. Even as young as a middle schooler already got some work done mostly Rhino and double eyelid surgery. Parents even gift or pay for their children to undergo these procedures. I read one time that 1 out of 5 of highschool girls got their double eyelid surgery already. And 1 out of 3 after their highschool graduation.

As a non fan, she looks so different tho! Could be 2 different girls cuz her image in the « before » is way different, she looked cuter, now she has that glamour face. It’s important to the young audience who follow Wonyoung and thinks that her look (now) is all natural , this is just a reminder for them that plastic surgery does exist and no one is born perfect. + many young girls admitted feeling insecure looking at Wonyoung and thinking that she is naturally this perfect because a lot of people online (her fans) denies the fact their idols face has gone under the knife when it’s very obvious and can’t accept that PS isn’t something to be ashamed of.

Honestly don’t know how ppl can get so many little things fixed that just enhances their looks so much like so many options and trust is needed.

Even with plastic surgery, the result come in a perfect proportion. Her face is phenomenal. I don't think every girl that do plastic surgery will get this level of face even they do exactly the same thing. God love her for sure. she was born cute then with her luck and money she become goddess.
