the fact she was able to manage her idol life with other things , it tells us that she is using every opportunity that comes to her . she is benefiting from every quality she has in her . she is just doing 100% of what she is capable of . not many people pull it off that wonyoung did at such a young age. she deserves it .

being pretty isn’t a talent. i hate when kpop stans try to dowplay the fact that an idol lacks some attributes or just isn’t good at what they do because all it does is enable pretty privilege. there’s idols that have done twice as much as what she has done and she gets in easily because she’s pretty and attracts attention to the group. she only trained for 14 months. it’s not rocket science. she does the bare minimum and gets more credit than people in the industry and have much more to offer than just a pretty face.🥴and i might come off as the most bitter hater alive but i truly don’t care at this point because im tired of these below average girlies getting so much attention for doing things that they aren’t good at. all those checks are coming from her company and she’s getting so much credit because she’s like their personal ATM. she attracts attention because are more focused on looks than actual talent.

@@pinkvixenz yess, i agree 100%. i dont hate any kpop idol, so dont get the idea im some kind of a hater, but korea and the whole kpop industry became so look based before talent is honestly sad. if they are becoming kpop idols they should be able to sing and dance, since that is what they applied for. i know having a pretty face in korea is a big advantage, but we should not put the singing aside and let idols debut with minimal talent or even no talent. at the end of the day, they are singers/dancers and not models. i didnt mean to offend anyone and im not calling anyone out, just wanted to put this here for others to read

i dont wanna downplay her hardwork, but I just want to mention that her looks also got her where she is. there where people more talented than her, but her "charm" and her looks were more important in the kpop industry. she has good singing, but there were other trainees who had just as good or even better singing and there were a ton of trainees who had much better dancing skills. tldr: wonyoung worked hard, but so did all the other trainees. the difference is her looks and just her being very charming in general. i think that is what we should stress rather than hardwork

Starship is giving her jobs all the time. She has tons of photoshoots, variety show appearances, rehearsal and vocal training sessions, just recently at their latest radio show Liz said they slept only two hours. Imagine how little Wonyoung must’ve rested during her “hiatus” as an idol…. Fun fact: Wonyoung took a GED test during “Violeta” promotions which was really a very busy era but she managed to get 100 in Math,Korean and English even tho she just had a little time of studying. The way this girl is so intelligent makes me even more amazed of what she can do. Wonyoung is this successful and rich because she was born to be a star. You need more then visuals to get to this level. I have watched a ton of variety shows with IZ*ONE and I always thought she was super sweet, polite, charming, and intelligent. She really does have that "it" factor.

at the end of the day, whatever irrelevant kpop stans have to say about her doesn’t matter. Wonyoung remains extremely relevant in Korea, literally one of the most famous female idols there, very successful, and she’s thriving.

when i watch wonyoung i just feel so inspired and i admire her so much. instead of feeling jealous and envious, i see her as my role model. some people hate on this sweet, hardworking girl because they’re obviously not satisfied with their lives. instead of bringing a successful 17 YEAR OLD girl down, why dont these people see her as somebody to admire instead? and if not, just leave her alone instead of trying to tear her image down to others but i guess insecurity has a very negative impact on people.

Wonyoung is without a doubt Korea's true It Girl. She exhuberates genuine class and beauty. And she's so unbothered!

But its funny how everyone see her this kind of side but not other. Like everyone talks how she uses luxury and expensive things (its not bad thing but) but not in other days she doesnt really uses those things. Like a she still uses bags that she had 3 years ago, she often wears her one clothes and bags over and over. How she remembers her fans name, how she regonizes fan and remember the gift that fan gave to her and shows that she still uses it. The moments how she holds her tears and comforts others while trying to smile. How she is just 17 yet she trying to keep her mood stable and try her best to help her members. I hope just people see her actual personality and realize what kind person she actually is. And remember she is human too. Understand smt she gets tired, exhausted and make mistakes just gave her a chance. And not just judge her over an edited videos.

The rumor of her being a chaebol might actually be true. The granddaughter of the chairman of Korea’s leading conglomerate Daelim group once commented "I miss you" on her instagram post. I saw many posts on kforums talking about that and they were wondering what is their relationship. They think that if she is close to a chaebol granddaughter, then her family background is definitely no joke. But up until now, knetz are still speculating if Wonyoung is born rich RICH or if she's really a chaebol.

Doesn’t come easy. In a way, it’s sort of sad because although she’s one that many would often envy/wanna be (she literally has everything) at one point, the tables were probably reversed years ago. She’s been working hard her whole childhood to get to where she is now. A good childhood is a very important part in one’s lifetime, it’s really the only time where you can enjoy being young with no responsibilities or stress. Wonyoung has always had to work hard. And now, she’s probably under constant stress, because she’s made it far, and has to keep a good reputation for herself. Unfortunately, she’s no where close to the end as she has the rest of her youth + a fresh new contract with starship left before she’s somewhat free… I’d also like to add that she’s been getting so much hate recently for absolutely nothing like I bet that has been really stressful for her. Idk if anyone remembers people pointing out her “hair loss” (possibly from stress) during her period in izone…she’s so young, and it would be so heartbreaking if the hate gets to her.

Meanwhile the young teens here are lamenting that they are watching soap operas instead of studying or being covered in gold like this girl. Like pls, what they do is what many (lucky enough) teens do. Teens procrastinate, struggle with their studies/friendships/love interests/money... they grow up and live their teenage life and they are no less valid than this girl. And teenage life is precious, a teenage life where they are not riddled with disgusting systemic oppressions like poverty or abuse, but just with the challenges every teen and human faces.

She is amazing ,it's no doubt she will be making money left and right .. I just hope IVE doesn't turn won young and friends .. They all are amazing , they need to be treated equally .. Although ,i hav heard that stylists usually have a favorite member , maybe that's the case ,she is getting the best outfits.. I just hope their company will do a better job , they are precious...

one may have everything: fame, money, intelligence, beauty, body, kind, talented, successful, being loved by many fans around the world. But it always does come with a price: dealing with hate, maintaining the public reputation and visuals, being overworked, and even having anxiety or depression.

The main reason why being an MC in music bank is a big deal for idols is the brand recognition, that's why a lot of the smaller companies would want to send there idols to be an MC there because it can boost the group as a whole. Look at Soobin for example; TXT is actually not that popular compare to the other groups but after Soobin becomed the MC TXT brand recognition suddenly skyrocketed in korea and it also made Soobin much more popular there

Im just gonna say it, I think it’s sad when fans buy wealthy idols expensive stuff, it’s sucking up and a** kissing at its finest, they don’t need the money so how about collecting the money and donating it to a charity they support or a charity of their choice, to help someone who actually needs it in their name, anyway she’s a beautiful girl and it doesn’t matter if she was born rich she’s worked hard and carved her own path in life as an idol when she didn’t have too, she could’ve lived as a rich socialite but instead chose to work hard to become an idol which has lead to lots of great opportunities for her and you can’t help but respect that

I've been a fan of wonyoung since pd48 and still is until today, i love and adore her so much and i hate it when people say a lot of bad things and disregard her talent and hardwork.

She's living my dream but I'm so so so glad to see her being so successful! She definitely deserves it after all of the hard work!
