Thanks for pointing this out. The demo definitely suits the song more but doesn't match their princess concept as much. Still though Ives version lacks so much energy, especially in the chorus, its kinda hard to watch.

Yeah I agree, when I saw the dance I was super disappointed and underwhelmed l, the song felt so cool, but the choreo is just questionable. It felt like it needed more energy and just more details, it lacked a lot. But I don't blame the girls they did their best to make it look the best they could.

Of course they dance with no energy. They have been starving these girls since debut and overworking them. It may not be physically possible to have their physique and do that choreo day in day out while having such a packed schedule. I feel for them but something has to give. IVE more than any other group has such high pressure because of Wonyoung's popularity.

I feel like we should see the demo choreography first before we judge their choreographer. Sometimes the group's company ask to change parts cause of needed vocal stability among many other reasons.

This choreo might not be best for looking but these less jumpy and non tacky choreo is best for them for performing live . They'll do one single mistake or have unstable vocal moment kpop stan would eat them alive especially right now there is obsession with Mr removed videos .

I agree that the choreo being slower and less impactful is best for live performing, which I welcome. BUT, that doesnt excuse some of the messy transitions and just overall weird movements. It could all still be polished, while maintaining its focus on live singing.

also, if the concern is that the choreo is too tiring to do while singing stuff like rei having to rush from one side of the formation to the opposite side within a couple seconds is super bad for that also

I thinl the choreo fits the song well, and I didn't notice the running in the back before it was pointed out

I think the choreo fit the concept, it's playful and not too overpowering. It's easier for them to sing live too as they don't have jumpy move. The only missing part would be the dance break, they should've make it more interesting as Gaeul doesn't have much line anyway

Yeah sure singing perfectly while jumping and dancing rapidly without ur voice cracking or high notes turning out weird is totally possible

The choreography doesn't need to be fast paced just bc the song is fast paced. But it definitely needs some changes, and new formations.

I think it's funny that people are saying that the choreo is too slow for the song when I feel like there's a lot of popular songs that are chill but have very fast dances. I don't want to start anything, but many NJ songs are laid back, but all the choreos are extremely fast. And everyone loves them? But I've always felt that they don't suit the concept at all.

If you watched Lachica demo version, it's actually good tho. It's just that IVE do the choreo with less energy and not as intense as the original. The choreo was meant to be executed intensely but IVE toned it down so they can sing live

As a DIVE since their debut, choreos has been great and reasonable for their concept. But when this comeback came out, their discography never miss but this choreo is.

As a dancer, I'd say they need more dance training. It's not necessarily the choreographer's fault if they're trying to make it easier for them. And even if the choreographer is problem, they still need a lot of dance training to improve. So far, yujin is the only one keeping up

No i disagree. HEAR ME OUT choreos are meant to be fun and personally i love this easygoing chill choreo style cuz then it’ll be easier for ive to sing live. Hybe has made us too used to choreographies that feel like the idols are gonna jump out of the screen at any moment(no offense to anyone or the idold i appreciate all their efforts 😭🤍) so its nice to see such a laid back choreograpgy

This choreography is not laid back. Yujin was on the flow, their arms were flying everywhere and the formations kept changing😭 A fun choreography would be any New Jeans choreography, Girls Generation or Red Velvets funner songs

For people who don’t understand this industry it’s a series of dance crews and choreographers that Ives team meshes together for the final product, considering that the girls will also have to sing and dance (personally don’t think Ive is known for being more of a high dance kpop group) this is included in the final product. The majority of this choreography was created by lachica one of the best crews , and if you look at the original choreo lachica does it more justice. The choreo had to be more simple for ive, so don’t blame the choreographers because Ive doesn’t pull it off too well and dancing isn’t their strongest suite .

I don’t know I personally like the choreo.

I love their choreo!!! It’s IVE’s unique and it suits their concept and their looks and personalities so well. It also not so intensive so it lets them sing and not struggle with breath too much. There is no need their choreo to be the same like other groups because for me most of other gg choreo looks similar and boring, because movements are really almost the same. I wish IVE can remain their calm beauty they show since Eleven era 🤍

It doesn't have to be fast. All the moves are heavily reused in general in the song and in the Industy, they look cluttered, too close and looked off sync, and it is too slow. That doesn't mean we want straykids dancing it's just too slow pace for the moves they are doing which makes it looks like their being lazy when their just soft dancing and it makes it look like they learned the dance in 2 hours. This choreography is too slow for the song, off sync, cluttered, busy without being busy. [It's like a crowd of people walking slow and squished together. ] , most reused dance moves, too much soft dancing to striking energetic poses and moves.

I would call Eleven a fast choreography or even Baddie. But this one just felt all over the place, maybe it was the song itself

I love lachica but I agree this was not their best work

Starship usually combine moves from differenet dance crews, mostly from Lachica and FreeMind. I believe this choreo made by Lachica. If they only want to use choreo from 1 crew, I think FreeMind is a better choice, they have sharp, clean, and interesting moves. I’m not a fan of I AM choreo as well, and it’s also made by Lachica. Idk maybe it’s my preference.

Some parts should be changed fr, but I actually don't mind the little run that much, it's kinda cute and it reminds me of the moment in mv when animated girls are running around. Maybe it would've been better if not only Rei ran to her spot? Idk. But I also feel that they kind of underdance, like they were told not to put that much energy into this choreo

This is called hypocrisy. Fans think that singing is idol's main job so for that ive made their choreography easy so that they can sing live better and not struggle. If you have hard choreography then you will ofc struggle like lesserafim. People will talk about itzy and nmixx but bro don't lie they also struggle. It is probably lily,yeji,kyujin who are stable but they don't sound exactly like the studio version. And for nmixx when lily sings she doesn't even do the choreo properly bcs she knows that she has to sing too. I won't lie itzy members actually struggle a lot while performing. Ofc that is how live music sounds. But you are not ready for it. Ive also isn't a performance based group but vocal and visual based so they should have easy choreo.

Honestly i found a lot of their choreographies boring, especially this one and Baddie. They're all decent dancers,I think they can handle more dynamic choreographies with more details. I had similar complaints with Aespa, but their choreographies clearly learned with Drama, Trick or Trick and Better things.

I like how the choreo fits the vocal line instead of instumental. It helps to control Ive's breath during singing and actually fits the concept. My only problem is with that the formation wasn't really considered. It should be smooth. Especially with such slow and sensual choreo (i am not sure if it is the right words but i can't come up with a better one), where every single mistake or shakiness of the overall picture would be seen way much cleaner than with fast ones.

2nd and 1st gen always had easy choreo and it was fine cause they sang live and were stable with good stage presence which is the exact description of IVE so I think it’s fine they’re not a dance focused group and their choreo is easy to follow and always trending, not to mention they have a lot of grade schooler fans.

I always love ive's song and choreography. This one is good enough and it has some catchy part. But i agree that it kinda unpolished? It lacks power and detail. The camera angel and their expression help alot in camera but in full view you can see how much it is lacking.

AGREE. I LOVE heya so much, but the dance choreo is the only flaw. I liked the bridge's and the final chorus's choreo but the other parts + formations + camera angles were all unsuitable and awkward

I don’t know much about choreography but I will say that the one for the chorus in Accendio kinda left me hoping for more

I've always thought of this for IVE's previous dances after Eleven. Their focus is on visuals and hands rather than on something that feels dynamic to complement their songs. This and After Like were step ups. Edit: it could also be that they are weak dancers though.

They have dances that don't hinder their singing. This is so great!!! And visually it fits them so well and provides great visuals.

The song is about a tiger who fell in love with the sun. And in the chorus the little circle they make with their hands represents the sun ☀️ and after they eat the sun with their “claw” . I think it’s pretty creative, but it’s really not girls fault if there’s some boring parts of the dance 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I do totally agree! I love IVE as a group so much and I´m so exited to see them next month live at their concert. Yet I can´t bring myself to learn most of their choreographies (especially from the latest comeback), cause they are so underwhelming... what a shame

tbh i think people are exaggerating a little, there's definitely some room for improvement with the formation transitions and excessive reliance on hand movements but overall its a fun choreowith Yujin killing part

Some of the choreo was pretty off but for the most part I liked a lot of it like all of Leeseo’s parts were amazing and she carried this performance (istg Liz had the most lines but this was somehow her most boring place in an era… she shines way more in other eras where she didn’t even have the most lines like Eleven)

It needs some workshoping for sure. Like the running around doesn't look right😅, especially with such a small group (like a large group like Super Junior or Girls Generation it looks okay because there are so many people it isn't visible). Maybe some position swapping or making the whole line in the back move🤔 also having interesting formations or groupings could make it look better. Kpop is known for creative choreography that is clean and polished and this looks a touch messy😅

Something about their performances always lack energy , and I don’t think it’s the choreography, more like the vibe! Yujin and Gaul are literally the only ones that perform with energy and passion.. and their synchronization is just off! Maybe they need a new choreographer but they need to work on their stamina and synchronization first!

I always thought their choreography is always so simple and boring like with Camerawork it looks nice but if you see a fan cam then you will realize, they do need choreographer.

I feel this but for Accendio. When I first heard it I was hyped, it's fast, beats were awesome, especially the dance break. Like damn, I was expecting it to be awesome. Then I saw the choreo and it was super underwhelming. There isn't much singing in the chorus, the choreographers could've made them go out a bit in there, it's the killer part. And then the dance break. It's the climax, but it was mostly hand-waving while looking fiercely at the camera. It was really lacking. I know IVE could've nailed it if they were given a better choreo. Wasted opportunity.
