Ivana Trump talks about her novel ‘For Love Alone’, celebrity status, her work ethic and having no regrets.
During her marriage to business man Donald Trump, Ivana Trump was assigned the position of chief executive officer at Trump’s Castle Hotel and Casino in Atlantic city. Staff there were initially surprised at the appointment but accepted her when they realised that she was a businesswoman and not just the owner’s wife. Under her management it became the most profitable hotel casino in the United States.
"I had a fantastic and talented group of people, and we were a team."
Now divorced from Donald Trump, details of their marriage troubles have been a constant feature in American media for the past few years. The publicity has its benefits, but being under constant scrutiny is not easy. Trying to deal with it Ivana Trump says she looked to,
"Shelter yourself and your children, and try to survive any bad situation as graciously as you can."
Close female friendships sustained her throughout this difficult period, and she was also asked to appear on the cover of Vogue magazine. Her positive mindset also helped her to keep on going.
"Don’t feel sorry for yourself, don’t dwell on the past, there is a life out there."
As someone with no regrets, Ivana Trump believes she is fortunate to have been born and raised in Communist Czechoslovakia. A competitive skier since childhood Ivana Trump graduated from Charles University in Prague with a master’s degree and made her way to the West. She says immigrants have to work harder than everyone else, but
"We achieve, and I have achieved."

@@Jeri- it sounds to me that you are the IGNORANT one here. What are you babbling About? She did have plastic surgeries by her early forties and she still looked good but later they messed her face up and she gained a lot of weight from all the alcohol and good food.

There was something charismatic about Ivana, a real beauty in her youth, and smart too, Rip Ivana.
Intelligent, articulate, classy and composed. Beautifully modulated voice. I've always liked her and am especially enjoying these older interviews.

Ivana is very strong minded woman a good rule model for our young children especially.She’d done credibly well in business with Donald and even after her divorce she rise up with dignity and become more powerful figure.RIP Ivana the world will miss you you’re one of a very courageous human.❤️

Ivana was very articulate, intelligent and extraordinarily beautiful. I loved her trade mark Cinderella hair styles. Here at age 43 she made 43 the new 23.

I never knew much about her until recently. She really had it all; poise, beauty, intelligence, and femininity, with strength. I can see why her children turned out so well. It’s too bad that Donald didn’t stay with her. She would have been an amazing First Lady. RIP Ivana.

Poor thing! She looked so so beautiful here! Her first plastic surgeon deserves an award he did such a beautiful job on her! He hates his wife/woman running a show, so he used Marla to dump Ivana. He went to young Russian woman later.
She rose above betrayal and divorce. Smart and savvy plus lovely demeanor and appearance. Her children turned out well because she was a hands-on mother. She referred to the "showgirl" who Donald chased after. But she fortunately dodged the Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniel bullets. Ivana Trump seemed to be a real and sincere person. Rest in peace.

Would you have any more of Kenny Live interviews with Irish people? I seem to remember some obscure writers, designers and other personalities being interviewed by Pat Kenny, who were never heard of again. It would be interesting to see these interviews.
Absolute winner - definitely a woman of great beauty- class and substance - and she was brilliant= I* miss her- she was downhill health wise which was very sad to see. im sure she is redisgning heaven
