Tragically beautiful. Tae and IU have been good friends for a while (IU is in an actual relationship with someone else). So many things to notice in this, you have to watch it a few times. Which I have done, but I still cry at the end every time. Tae did so many projects (just like all of BTS) before entering the military so we wouldn't have to miss them so much. IU's voice is unlike anyone else's.

V AMAZING acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭They they forgot what they were running from because through the lens of the camera, they were able to just love and enjoy life until the reality caught up to them and they were taken away ICRY 😭😭😭😭❤❤

I’ve been following IU for 14 yrs and her voice is angelic and pure. She is also a wonderful actress. V is an all star as well. You should watch IU show Palette , V was on it .

In the end she closes the good eye when the cube found them because she didn’t want him to see the inevitable happen to them. It just feels like you are watching a movie. This video has nothing to do withbthat topic at all. It is 100% about loving someone no matter what the world throws at you. In the letter IU posted on her companies website she states that the this song is one of 2 love songs on her new album and that she is dedicating this song to her fans who have, for reasons she doesn't understand, have always been on her side. She stated further that the song is about the struggle to Love when the world gets in the way. If youbthink this song has anything to do with victimhood and getting revenge, has several have suggested using the dinning room scene as evidence, then you know nothing about IU and you are listening to the lyrics. If you believe that this beautiful song is about discrimination of "marginalized" people (which makes absolutely NO SENSE whatsoever based on the lyrics and anything that is actually happening in the video) then please explain how this is a love song worthy of IU dedicating to her fans. IU is the producer of this video so the concept and vision are hers. The Director's job is to bring that concept and vision (IU's concept and vision) to life. If IU was ever going to write a song about that general topic it would be very different than the storyline you are imposing on this video. It would deal with forgiveness and the Golden Rule, not about victmhood and discrimination. Which by the way even using the word discrimination in this context makes no sense at all and demonstrates a total lack of knowledge regarding the meaning of that word. But in regards of the MV itself and the song, where is there any mention or demonstration of this supposed discrimination? There is none. A few have suggested that the Cubes represent discrimination, how actually they don't say, because from all appearances these two are the last 2 people who are still alive in this area. So suggesting that what clearly is the extermination of all human kind is some how a representation of a targeted discrimination against a subset of human kind is nonsensical in the max. There are so many other issues with that theory of the song as to make it simply silly. Regarding IU. If you are into Kpop and you don't know who IU is and don't know her body of work, then you are missing the boat. As Suga stated on his show, you can't have a discussion about kpop without having a discussion about IU's influence on it. Even the New York Times in 2014 stated that IU was showing the way forward for Kpop. And then again 2018 in an article on the Influence of music on culture they listed the top 25 Most Influential musician's in the world. IU was listed 9th on their list.
