2AM officially debuted on July 11 2008,under JYP Entertainment with the single "This Song".Between 2010-2014 the band was co-managed by BigHit Ent.In 2015,Changmin,Seulong and Jinwoon left JYPE,followed by Jokwon who left the company in 2017.Currently,all the members are under different agencies,but they mentioned several times that 2AM did not disband and that they had clauses in their individual contracts which would allow them to promote as 2AM in the future. This ep of Palette is really worth watch in full because iu and 2am debuted in the same yr and they are quite close so there were many hilarious moments :) its longer than usual but didnt feel like it.

2AM is a Ballad group while 2PM is a Performance group in 2nd Generation. They cameback after 7 years with 2 title tracks written by Hybe Label CEO (their former producer) and JYPark 💚💚

IU actually had a duet with Seulong called "Nagging" :) My all time favourite song from 2AM will always be "I can't let you go even if I die". I still listen to this at least once a week. LOL

also you are right about 2am and 2pm were split from One Day. 2PM has upbeat songs because that's supposed to be the hottest time of day (hence their fans are called hottest lol). 2AM mostly sings ballads as this is the time were most people are asleep or wants to relax.

2PM and 2AM are subunits of the same group called OneDay. The group was formed through the survival show Hot Blood Men. 2PM debuted with a beast-like image, focusing on pop/rap music and dance. 2AM debuted with a softer image, focusing on ballad music and powerful vocals. Both groups debuted through JYP. (2PM is still managed by JYP) but 2AM was co-managed by both JYP and BigHit Ent. (This 2021 comeback had double title tracks; one written by JYP himself, and one written by Bang Shihyuk PD.) 2AM has a collab song with BTS that is so amazing. Also, leader Jo Kwon, second from the left, had J-Hope feature in his title song before BTS’s debut. (J-Hope recently posted about how much he loved their new album, it was very cute.) When the boys contracts ended in 2015, it was around the time for military service for 3 of the members, thus didn’t renew. Now they are all under different labels, but are all still 2AM, they even made sure that in their contracts with their separate labels that 2AM activities would take priority over any solo work. The group uses Stone Music as a distributor because it is a neutral label not associated with any of their personal labels. Like their brother group 2PM, 2AM are legends in the kpop industry. They have an amazing discography. It’s been 7 years since their last comeback, because military and figuring out the contract logistics, but they haven’t lost their touch at all. 2am and 2pm are actually part of a same boy group called One Day, with 2am focused on slower songs like ballads, r&b and soul, while 2pm did more performance/dance heavy stuff. Their songs are meant to be listened in the wee hours of the night hence the name 2am. In effect, 2pm garnered more popularity because of the rising trend of dance/performance tracks in the past.

2am was co-managed by jyp & bighit up until 2015? They trained under jyp along with 2pm and were on a trainee survival show together called ‘hot blooded men’. The members are all under different agencies now but they have clauses in their contracts that allow them to promote as a group.

This palette episode worth watching the full video because it just so fun to see her interact with the people in her life, you guys won't regret it

What I really love about jyp, different with other company is when their artist left the company, they still maintain a good relationship.

You should check out the 2AM medley at the beginning of the video and of course they sang their 2 singles as well. Jieun is so happy throughout the episode.

2am co-managed by JYP & bighit from 2008-2015. The members aren’t signed to either of the companies anymore (except Changmin who is still with bighit) and are in different companies. So I guess they’re going to promote under stone music entertainment for group activities only.

woah i did not know 2AM did this recently

2AM and 2PM are 2nd generation groups, there was no such concept as "units" or "sub-units", so JYP Ent debuted these 2 groups at the same time, 2PM is a performance group while 2AM is a ballad group, then later, the Company framed the groups as ONE DAY, as all of them have always been good friends anyway

You know what you must watch? Brown Eyed Girls Abracabra, followed by 2AM+PM spoof of Abracadabra. This MUST NOT BE FORGOTTEN
