ITZY new MV for title track “SNEAKERS”. Hmm was it my personal SOTY material? no. I'm not gonna lie. However I do genuinely enjoy this kind of light hearted happy k-pop song. Especially when it has the chill and romantic slowing down pre-chorus. But it was a little surprising coming from ITZY, since they are known for their cool edgy songs I feel like. What did you guys think?

I've read somewhere that there's 3 phase in this mv. The first part where they wear a majestic kinda outfit, Yeji represent the ruler of the kingdom but at the same there's other female leaders (the members) that help her to lead the kingdom. It means that even from a very long time ago, female ruler and leaders already exist. The 2nd phase is where they wear the pilot or marine kinda outfits, it represents that women can also succeed in a field that is often conquered by men. Last phase is the ending where they wear y2k kinda outfits means, they can wear and do what they want. This song feels like an empowerment to the female. As you can see, way back then shoes or sneakers are often worn by men while women are expected to wear high heels to look feminine, in this song you can see that they wear sneakers instead of high heels. It means that, women can also be on the same level as men. Both men and women are equally right. Hopefully my explanation didn't confuse u more 😅

To me it just sounds like a quirky song gone childish sneakers commercial it's giving me ' awesome screen , awesome camera, long lasting battery life ' vibes, with some rapping put in
