This is beyond belief. How could it was possible for this composer to think, create and execute a new form of music in the present [today it is past] generation? Everybody know how the tamil music was 50 years back. The director [Bharathiraja ] who is watching the concert is a well known village based story creator. He gave surprisingly an urban story based movie. Isaignani started giving a new pattern of music equal to western type. Swetha was so confident in singing with the inspiration of S Janaki. Note: NG should give title of the songs in english also.

This has resulted in loss of readable magnetic field data points on his tapes. I don't think his tracks from 80s have survived this, you can hear white noises and loss of bass frequencies. Even if they are digitized it'd reflect on them, he must invest in some audio restoration because we musn't be deprived of absorbing every multitrack of his compositions !

One of Illayaraja's best songs ever. The problem with this version is-the drums are not miked and mixed in the same audio levels as the original. Although this drummer is supposed to be the original drummer, there is a version of this performed live by Saranya Srinivas with half the orchestra. The drummer of that performance lives the original song and it's a great example of audio engineering in a concert setting. I will rate that whole song's performance as better than this. Swetha who is usually expressive, is kinda struggling with this. Anyway, neither Swetha not Saranya can match the incredible, one and only S. Janaki for both the minute expressions & power that she brings into the singing. I would like Illayaraja to keep performing this incomparable song in all his concerts so that somewhere we can find that one singer who can match S. Janaki and that sound engineer who can mix it and Mike it exactly as the original. The bass guitar also has a tighter sound in the original which is almost done to that effect in the Saranya concert.

The setting for this needs to be like rock drumming and not oriented towards the usual jazz drumming mode. Drum sound settings of rock drummers like Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac, Roger Taylor of Queen, or even Stewart Copeland of The Police can be studied.@@siddhucbe7154

It's really difficult to match S.Janaki, because it's not about just matching the voice, she gave so many subtle expressions and dynamics which is very difficult to reproduce by other singers

Studio la retake polaam. LIVE la poga mudiyadhu. Studio la correct ah instruments oda levels ah adjust pannalaam, mixing can be perfected. While audio levels can be adjusted LIVE, doing so every single time before a song can be time consuming and complicated. This song's arrangement does not require a lot of instruments or musicians. Mothame 10 peru irundha kuda podhum. Bass, strumming guitar, lead guitar, Trumpet, keyboard, drums, flute, chorus. The problem with this performance is that the guitar levels needed to be louder. Bass romba low ah ketudhu. Rhythm guitar was even lower. Some bass notes had to be held longer for that continuous tone aana adhu panala. Nagardhana portion la bassist either swallowed a few notes or it wasn't heard. Idhey studio ah irundhu irundhaa indha thappu ellam avaru seri panni irupaaru. Drummer was the only one who was fantastic throughout.

@@srirama3667 Definitely. This song has a superb bassline. Nagurdhana bit ellam creative brilliance. Adhuvum adhula TVG kudaye travel aagura andha bassline is just fantastic. Ilayaraja mind la epdi idhellam imagine panraaru nu nenachu kuda paaka mudila.

She got many songs n spoiled half of it... her voice won't has the depth needed for this song

Sharanya Srinivas voice is perfect match and sync for this song. Sweta mohan voice is not sync and not sharp for this song.
