Nah, not a train wreck. Anyone who has been working on/building cars for as long as most watching your channel, appreciate the absolute S-load of work you put into these projects. The time that goes in thats not on camera, sourcing the little parts, running out of welding wire half way through, tools breaking, etc., is appreciated and I bow to you and your dedication to these awesome projects. I'm wrapping up an '87 BMW 535 S480 turbo 5.3/4L80 swap so I get it. Good luck, cant wait to see them done.

Have had a great time watching this build! Plenty of "wtf, did you do that" moments, but hey, I've done that shit too. I understand wanting to have that center line focal point not marred with metal work marks, but the bumper should (my opinion) have been cut exactly like the valance and the hood. That is, by making two cuts and preserving that center line focal point. Certainly, it's twice the work, but if you would have cut out a 1ft (or close enough) section in the middle of the hood and valance, you could have saved that factory work and added in easy stuff to each side. Same with the bumper, if you had cut out a section in the middle, it would have still been "easy" and smooth metal working and everything would have lined up all the way across the front

  • @CaseysCustoms

Hmm i like that, i just don’t know that this is the car I’d do it on. I never thought about it before, honestly the 65-66 hood “peak” is so subtle in these years it never even occurred to me. I can definitely seeing that being really helpful on models with a more pronounced peak/body line. Good idea 👍

Yeah, it looks good. The lengthening of it and the widening doesn't take away too much from its curb appeal, but as those other five people were saying the wider a pillars, I guess they're called, do look a little odd. I know you can't really make a wider windshield, unless you make some kind of weird custom glass shape. But those widened pillars, in my opinion, are the greatest eyesore.

11:18 I'm admiring the work here. Chrome bumpers on all factory-built Ford Mustangs had a lot of slop, anyway. What you've done with that tail bumper is consistent with what I've seen other Mustang enthusiasts do with their custom restorations -- tightening up the gaps, etc. I reckon you'll do the same for the front. Hmm, I'm starting to wonder how you'll be finishing it - paint schemes, color, badges (MUSTANG vs. BMW or both?) 🙂
