Personally my preference is for 30+ to 1 hour long videos, I think that's long enough to show and talk about a good amount of stuff, but not so long that it gets interrupted by having to go do stuff which happens a lot with 2 hour videos in my experience.

If you complete the game before full release, you get a special item. When they put out u8, I had to stop playing. My pc can't play u8. I am bummered out and miss playing.

Bitz - Having just started playing SP+ I have noticed something with the Modular Miner... although they have two outputs you do not need to connect both via a Merger to feed a single belt. The second output just allows two belts to be fed once you exceed Mk5 belt speeds. If you connect an empty machine + drill bit to a single Mk1 belt and watch its UI as it spools up you will see there are two internal buffers. One buffer flows immediately to its Mk1 belt at 30pm and the second buffer accumulates internally at 30pm until it fills completely (one stack of 200). The moment it fills a stack it "overflows" internally to the other buffer and exits the single Mk1 belt at the full 60pm. The only thing you gain if belting both outputs is that they both output at 30pm immediately so you avoid that initial wait for the second buffer to fill at the cost of materials for a Merger.

i think you and LGIO are the only channels i come back to for this game and i very much enjoy both of your takes, so i had a good laugh when you mentioned the tornados as for the video format, for me who likes to just binge for hounrs on end, longer videos are Satisfactory but i've enjoyed your regular 20ish minute videos for over a year now so i'm not bothered either way

I prefer the cuts to the point. If I wanted to see the whole building and dilly dallying process then I'd watch from your VODs channel. For example Kibitz recent video on this modpack. Which is ironically why I'm here to see a longstanding playthrough of it.

You know what I wish this game had. A small drone that you have at the start of the game that transports materials from portable miners to the hub so you don't have to go running about to each one.

nice nice, i love satisfactory plus! just so you know, not only is 1.0 coming out this year, but this mod is being updated severely so this version is not final! advice, automate everything as soon as you can, dont unlock too much before automating. EDIT: very nice setup! I love the generators with belt inputs personally. what I usually do is make biomass its own power plant. I make 24 burners (because a container holds 24 stacks) and I loop the input belt around to store extra, and I place it where if the power does trip, I can loop the storage straight back into the system to get power back on while I go collect more leaves and wood. I hope that explanation wasnt too obtuse lol.

Hearing how much time you've spent in Satisfactory makes me feel less silly about my 24k hours in Factorio xD

I like videos of around 15-20 minutes. But what you can do is have them for a few weeks both. first one, then the other and then look at the numbers. That way you also pay attention to people who are not commenting, but still enjoy the content.

I just started a new save. I am using various mods and some theory craft in my head to keep it interesting. Recently been watching Star Trek shows so I am going to build a Borg cube in the skies over Satisfactory. Like a single drone dropped into a planet and has to rebuild a cube from the resources it can find. I am using flying mods, god mode, architectural mods, resource teleporting mod (transporters). I will "beam" all recourses from the surface to the cube and all manufacturing and building will be up there.

Fun fact. Playing the game as it should be. Ow missing iron plates. Chat said !give iron plates !give leaves !give wood LMAO Still looking forward for this playthrough

Yep, I use tools for the recording as I've stated many times.. But everything has been built legit on the twitch stream, can check the vods for that. Spawning stuff in saves me many minutes of grabbing it again, to help with post production. As technically I have to rebuild things again for the KZread, but load up save checkpoints to complete a build I've already done. If that makes sense.

i was just thinking of trying a single biome challenge run. restricting your building zone for the entire run to a single biome/named map area of your choice. you can still place miners, belts and trains/stations outside of zone to collect and transport mats back into your biome, but no storage/constructors etc outside of your biome.

@@ItsBitz I do understand that of course. I'm currently using it with SF+, Sky UI on a Multiplayer world. It is so much easier to place 20 rows in stead of 1 a time. Especially for bigger projects ^,^ We are also looking forward to 1.0 tho! But it will be even longer for SF+ to be out and is fully completet. Some cool stuff is comming! 1 year, 3 months, 1 day, and 18.5 hours. That's crazy. Probably even more because this is based on 11,000 hours exactly and its probably more than that.

a difference from vanilla is that the portable miners collect 200 ore in plus instead of 100, plus they stack and there is a glitch if you put the miner down too fast the extra miners fall out of the inventory and lost.

I love longform content but the algorithm seems to prefer a normal short video and then link the continuation / long one. and i always try to upvote more or comment more to help out

For me I enjoy the long format videos then the short ones, granted it can depend on the game too. However the way you have been doing it, to me personally the whole '*Play the game fully making saves along the way to load back into to show the progress*" just feels... off? I guess I just rather see thing's be done as there done and view the planning, trials and errors, mess ups, etc then see snips of what's already been done with a small bit maybe to show how something was done? That's why I'd rather watch your stream uploads. I just personally enjoy watching it be done then being shown saves of stuff already done in various stages. Nothing against you or how you choose to do your vids, but just my personal enjoyment is more, watching it being done. ImKibitz is one of the better examples I can give with how yes, he'll cut things, boop stuff in, but we are still watching him build it, plan stuff, struggle with stuff, make mistakes like how he almost nuked his world... and just skip out anything redundant or repetitive like piping all his nukes.

I appreciate the feedback, my dude.. The Kibz power meltdown was found out on his stream, then redone for the recording. I remember the panic that was endured on stream, lol.. I learnt the whole save checkpoint whilst live from Kibz.Its him that he recommended it to me and Total.. I think it's because I'm vocal about it all the time and stream more hours, which is why it's more known. But I can say for certain no content creators who stream their save live and then have a youtube series, let's play, have honest reactions.

Have you considered a more "pure" or high-grade bio-mass (research)??

i will say i personally prefer 20-35min episodes, often i have other videos/creators releasing videos and struggle to find the time to watch hour - 2hour videos. often i put them on more in the background while working on things and only get half my attention if that, were a 20-35mins video i often watch when i take a break and can give it the attention it deserves. either way i support what you do and will continue to watch your videos im not sure about this mod... i will give it a try but atm it just seems like they inflated the complexity but dont really feel like they inflated the satisfaction of progression with it. its just more not just but better, dont flow as well. im sure its just personal preference but atm it feels like the base game is better, i love the Refined Power mod that adds complexity that fits with the game ect..

Everything is in the Description, its a overhaul mod called satisfactory Plus. It makes the game 5x harder then the base game.

For sure I can.. So basically I Pre-Build all of this on twitch, and create save checkpoint for example... 001-001 or 001-003, The first 3 numbers is the Episode number and the next three numbers is the save checkpoint number.. Meaning I can start showing you a build, then I can load the next checkpoint for the build to be complete, as i stated in the video, with the analogy about cooking the Turkey hahaha.... So in some instances, when I load a checkpoint save up, I don't have the correct resources at my disposal, so i spawn them in to help me with the recording process side of things to be more efficient.. Otherwise I will be technically be building everything twice, ON stream then OFF stream for the recording. The VOD channel here explains it all www.youtube.com/@BitzVods/videos when you see some of the past livestreams, to give you a better understanding... Basically to make it simple, the livestreams are done very much like a normal playthrough is, and when I come to record a video, the builds are already technically complete, i just need to show the progression of the journey through KZread, via the save checkpoints that have been pre-cooked. Hopefully this makes sense

While I can appreciate the power pole choices you make, I have to say, save resources and only build one per group of 3 machines to connect to. Have a power bus bar or something, so one pole line is for every group as you upgrade. Once you get Mk 3 power poles, it makes no sense to have a pole for every machine. None of the nodes as far as I am aware are finite in their resources. And, as a secondary point. is it worth the extra time to set up a belt balancing early game? Once you get overclocking and underclocking, to me, it is just fine optimizing 30>20

hehe, I've been livestreaming Satisfactory Plus for 69 episodes so far. :D Nice to see some other people joining in on the fun (and frustration), lol.

That's the delema now. Here's my quesrion: why live stream if all your going to do is release a clean 2 hour video? Why have a 4 hour stream just to produce a another long format video? It's sounds great but you will lose the people who prefer the 30 min to 1 hour videos. Maybe once a quarter drop 2 hour.

So to answer your question // Twitch - Twitch is the place i livestream the whole playthrough and create save check points for me to load when I go to record for the KZread. There is no cheats, for example spawning things in and all that good stuff.. Its literally me just playing the game and like I said creating save checkpoint for future me to load when I record, to save me the work of build 80% of it again. // Bitz Channel - This channel is where I break down potentially 50 hours of work in to smaller edited size from the save check points I've created from the livestreams, also before I would squeeze that into 20/30 minutes video formats, this meaning a lot of things was missed and skipped over. // Bitz Vod Channel - Is a place where all the Previous livestreams get stored, so people can watch, minute by minute if they wanted without skipping anything. Also Twitch only stores the past broadcasts for 60 days for partners. So this channel creates a diary for people to catch up and search for answers they request

Cool video and all but why use the commands? Don't think I didn't notice you gave yourself 200 additional stiratite ore after the jump cut, like not making a big deal of what you used commands for but imo it hurts your credibility when you hide it instead of just being honest and saying you're using it to speed things up sometimes

The early game in this mod is a real slog, but it’ll all be worth it once I’ve got all the basic parts automated!! Currently building a central storage for my own peace of mind
