I bought a WE Primoris a few weeks ago. It fits well in the hand and flips easily. For what WE is charging for similar knives in their current lineup, the Primoris is a hell of a deal.

Hey Jared! Awesome video! Really enjoyed it! Keep ‘em comin’! I had a thought, just a thought, but one type of video i haven’t seen yet or maybe they do exist but i haven’t seen it or just isn’t that prevalent, is video(s) on new, hot, upcoming releases or specifically PREORDERS. I can already hear the complaints and criticisms about preorders but I think it would be a really cool video or list to put together. Future knives to watch out for. What got me thinking about this is the LUFT RWB preorder that I got in on and I’ve been watching it and I’ve been really surprised that there are still some spots available and that they didn’t sell out within minutes or hours or even on the first days. There’s still some left about a week after the preorder opened! And there’s only 50 of each of the three variants that are being sold (150 knives in total)! So I was thinking about all that and other preorders that I’ve waited for and I’ve come to the conclusion that I really don’t mind preordering! Sure the wait sucks and having the knife instantaneously is great but there’s also something satisfying to me about having the patience to wait (and sometimes usually forget about it) until it finally arrives and then I’m thrilled that I have it finally! For example, the winterblade factor and mirage. I know preorders aren’t for everyone, especially in this fast-paced, ever-growing, constantly changing, evolving, competitively fad-driven hobby. All that being said, I still would implore you to think about maybe creating a video or videos just on upcoming preorders, projects, drops, releases, etc. You wouldn’t even need the knives in hand to show, but would be a plus if it were possible. You could just use footage of you scrolling around on websites or Instagram or whatever and giving your thoughts on it all, whether they’re a smash or pass or whatever. I hope this is making some kinda sense of what I’m trying to convey, hopefully it’ll help, and hopefully the idea is worthy enough for a Neeve’s Knives video that hopefully someday in the future I will be able to watch and make better purchases and informed decisions on upcoming preorders. Tityus is a great knife and Kubey does discount their knives a lot. Usually 50 percent or more. Love the QSP Penguin. Have a couple of those.

Its great that you can get so many different quality knives at such a great price nowadays. The Titius is at the top of my list as far as new knives go. Maxace appears to be like Twosun but easier to find lol. Reate is definatly killing it in the quality department and the prices reflect that quality. I'm waiting on the next batch of the Kirby Raine in Q1 2024. Drop point blade without the recurve, S90V, and thumb studs. Cost slightly more, but still only $279 at the most I believe.

I'm holding a free tiger d2 with g10 scales. Great detent, falls shut. Centered perfectly. Yeah I have to sharpen it after a few days of use to keep it shaving sharp but at $25 shipping and all I have no problem with that. Been Sharpening my knives for probably 40 years give or take. It's like relaxation in the evenings. Point is that's hard to beat. They make some great knives for the price

I bought a Tityus for this very reason. It has everything any $200 knife has, for under $100 (a year ago). In almost every way, it is a $200+ knife! I would have to admit the ano wasn’t quite a nice as I would like, but the purple color I chose, which is intense and everywhere, might be influencing my opinion! I didn’t like it, so I returned it and got a gray one. It’s a LOT of knife for the $$$.

Got the titanium tityus for $81 from local seller yesterday .. I already liked G10/D2 version but this one is extra nice. Even better action. Not as good as $200 Kubey but still very good.

Hey Jared, I just got the Morad 2 off of watching your other video. Absolutely love that knife. I have a quick question for you, brother. I would like to anodize it. Will the carbon fiber strip be an issue when you put the scale in the baking soda solution? Would hate to mees it up

i would remove it first you can always re apply it, im not sure if it would get messed up but it might effect the results, also if you want the best results polish the surface of the ti first

@@rustyshackleford5331 yes im pretty sure it is, i dont have it next to me but if theres no screws on inside its glued or apoxied you can take it apart and let it sit in hot water or boiling water then attempt to pry it up it should pop up, you can also use adhesive remover

Use a thin file or sandpaper taped to a cocktail stick, give the scales some texturing and work on that useless jumping :)

Bro, the Trivisa Hydra that you recommended a while back has got me action-spoiled. The button lock action to get the blade to drop freely is so light it's ridiculous. If you like fidgety action, that one needs to be in the collection!

I think, the starting Kubey is overpriced. Why? Because they cheap out on the steel (I like it, but it just belongs in a different price range) and the other knives give a perfect example of what you can get for that price.

the Ti Titty is a banger for sure

he kind of lost me w/ the Kubey. I've had 2 Kubeys and neither of them were worth even close to what I paid (and I got good deals). One was a G10 Tityus so I'm certainly not going to pay for that again, or anything from Kubey really. After starting the video with that, I have to take the rest of his advice with a shaker of salt.

Over $100 and still using a frame/liner-lock... pass. The Ekko is amazing. My wife hates how much I fidget with that knife.

Hate to be that guy but only one of those knives I would ever consider buying. I think the prices are somewhat low because they’re just not appealing. At any price. Just because you slap good materials together doesn’t mean it’s gonna sell.

materials was not at all what i looked at, i looked at the amount of work and how well it was done with the materials, thats why i explained on some of the models that only had flat ti scales that is how they kept the price down. they dont have to be your style but that doesnt mean they dont have a lot of work put into them

Yeah, 90 dollars, China makes those knives for about $8. Americans are real, brilliant, real smart.

11:27 thats not a perfect application for that function... Use a different steel would be the solution.

i didnt say for that application what i meant was that if you were going to run m390 59 to 61 and its probably 59 to 60 this would be a perfect reason to doit is on a fixed blade,

@@NeevesKnives no. A different steel would be better than using low rc 20cv/m390. Really zero reason to run those steels below 61rc unless its using secondary hardening.

They use m390 to sell the product to people who think its good and dont know that there are much better options. Also think about how much cheaper it could be with a steel better suited for a tactical knife. I could go on. M390 is a 61-62rc steel. Any less, just dont use it. Use something else. Especially for a use case like a tactical item or tough use, etc. It would be dumb to use 20cv or m390. Its just not okay.

Knives that cost so little……? Think maybe you’ve forgotten where you came from Jared.😮

Come on, cost so little? congrets, you are rich... From my not too little experience I was expecting to see Morakniv, Opinel, Victorinox, maybe cold steel. It is shocking how people promote chinese flashy junk knives (though China makes overwhelmingly many good, cheap products but chinese knife steel is junk and not worth its money). also, their product ads are exagregated and contains desinformation or misinformation, who knows that their M390 is real and not something different for example somewhat much inferior stainless 154CM(though it is also very good but already common)? how many of us has knowledge, tools, time and nerves to check either it is real or not??? PS I'm not America lover, neither China hater but if you have enough money to buy factory made knife with premium steel - buy US made, they are best in our era

There are a limited number morons willing to pay the price for a pocket knife that may be made of titanium. What till they ( the makers goes out of business, i,e, runs out of morons, and They'll cost $25. Then there is trhe Kirby Lambert. None of that cheapo titianium....Real steel 239.00 . need I say more? Next will be the superduper Ah-So Tactical ( for all you tactical shoe salesmen ) made from melted premium beer cans. It fits in you hand as well. All this for an AWSOME, AMAZING discount price of $600.

And all these knives are pretty much useless for hunting, camping, fishing.
