Its B Service Time Again, M271 Oil Change and Reset.

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Hi Guys, things are a little chill lately so I thought I would upload this. I did this the day before the SA torque run and took a while to get to it. Just me doing a B Service on my M271 C200 Kompressor. No loud music just super chill and relaxing. Easy to do.
Enjoy!

    Hi its a 27mm socket it shouldnt be too tight though should be able to loosen it with your hand with a nice grip same when you tighten seeing the casing is plastic.

    You crazy using the Tupperware would be mutany.. and they are farely reliable once you sort out the common issues like the timing chain. Still running good for me I just get in and go anywhere. 👌

    i use 5w30 in my car...its 120000kms done wid same oil....is it okay to use 5w30 in this engine ?

  • @YusufPetersenCPT

    @YusufPetersenCPT

    Yes thats fine i use 5w30 last time i would recommend you also see what climate your car is constantly in and use the appropriate oil. These engines run pretty warm i think so dont go too thick on the oil but try and change regularly early then scheduled actually

    Did you replace the chain? I'm getting a bit of a rattle at cold start. I've now discovered this common chain issue but I'm gonna get oil changed to something better as I suspect crappy oil has been used. Most likely not 5w40 either, probably 5w30. So I think this MAY solve the problem... but I wondered if you changed your chain just to be safe or ?

    My gear teeth wore down and i skipped timing by like 2 teeth so no valve damage it was a combo of stretched chain and worn teeth. I replaced the gears the chain and tensioner been driving it since. I use Castrol Edge 5w40 for the past 2 services works fine.

    @@YusufPetersenCPT Ohhh I see. My car is currently on 85,000 so I think we gonna have to get this done... but its so expensive to replace this. Garages are reluctant to do it and the few that are quoting, are wanting £2000+

    I was told so yes but i dont have a pump and i find it super easy to drain it so i get it nice and hot and then drain to get it flowing out good i think the major issue would be the chance you might strip out sump plug so i dont go too tight on it just change the crush washer every time its so cheap.
