Impressive! I've been buying RO water for over 15 yrs. This would be better and make me more self sufficient. I already have a Berkey that I use for my pets. Thanks for sharing this!

I had an RO unit back in the late 80's. It cost over $400. $299's a good price in 2022.

several years ago I had a private duty client who had a big ro system that sat on the counter by the sink, his was set up to drain the runoff into the drain under the sink and had a spigot for the filtered water. that thing was big, the tank in it held u[ to 6 quarts of water, the intake was also connected to the cold supply line under the sink

I've been looking for something like this. This is great. Not ridiculously priced either.

Thank you, I really like that machine. And we're water rich here. Very rural too. But that could always change if the event was drastic enough. But what kind of an event could lower the water table that much? I doubt anything that could do that would be survivable anyway. I'm on an old hardened sandbar that rapidly eroding as it is. But that's why the water is so good. My three acres was the low and wet end of a field at one time, but they needed a place to dump dredged sand years ago and covered about two acres with 6' to 10' of sand. I could dig a shallow well by hand but would definitely want to filter or purify. The old moonshine still could always be resurrected. Sung to some other tune, ....... It was *Thunder* ... *Lightning* down the Western Road. *Thunder* was his engine and *Lightning* was his load. And it was *Moonshine* *Moonshine* to quench the Devil's thirst, The Devil swore he'd get him, but the Mountie shot him first. It's truly funny, we're having a great growing season here, knock on wood. The grain harvest has begun and the root crops are next. The only thing that could really hurt us is a continuous rain. Thank you very much for introducing this ITEHIL Portable RO Purifier. I was looking for something like this but portable. I really like this item. This has three ways to recharge, portable and enough highly filtered water for a large family. With a Berkey, rain catchment system and several large water containers, this will be add to my water collection equipment. The price is very doable. I'm going to get this with my upcoming union vacation check. An early birthday and Christmas present for me. Thank you for your uploads.

Iowa is in drought conditions, today we got rain but hail came with it so crops got damaged. at this time we need alot more rain to get caught u on both top soil and sub soil moisture. this little ro system would be great for small apartments

Amazing review. The price has shot up to $850. 😔🤯 How many gallons have you gotten thru it this far? Also how much does it weigh? If they are able to make one half the size I could take it on my long term backpack expeditions. I'm looking for a compact manual one for sea water for backpacking exploration. If someone can make one of these half to a third of the size they'll be a multimillionaire for the backpacking community. This is a game changer for ocean surfers and fisherman.

Can you take the non-potable run-off water and run it through the filter again and purify that?

how much tds is the waste water?

I am surprised no company has come out with a portable, battery powered water distiller unit. Id like that idea much more..no need to replace expensive filters on a regular basis and it is a simpler concept with fewer things that can break/ go wrong, IMHO.

If it's junk water, and you run the waste back through the system, you might clog up the coarse and medium filters sooner.

Can this be used to purify sea water or even pool water?

Yes, it will treat sea water not so sure about chlorinated water

Yeah but I suspect you wont get as much good water out of it. I have not personally tried it, just thinking out loud.

So no need for UV purification with this unit given any source?

If it truly is reverse osmosis, then no, and it should desalinate water, too.

So it can purify 34000 gallons per set of filter's?

No: RO Filter 550 gal / Hybrid Filter 350 gal They system ($299) can purify 34,000 gal over its lifetime replacing the filters as above 62 ROs (+$3,100) and 98 Hybrids (+$2,940).

Will it filter gray water ? Soapy water ?

Yes stil using it, took it out last month to try it out again and it worked perfectly. I do still need to pick up extra filters for it but the filters have not failed yet just want extras on hand.

@@Iridium242 Thank you for replying quickly. I just came across this the other day. I don't know if you know about the issue with the Black Berkey filters being pulled off the market. The EPA banned Berkey from selling the black filters due to having silver in them. The EPA considered them to be a pesticide since they use silver to kill pests. Berkey just came out with a new filter, but is good for only Municipal tap water only. So we need to find another source for off grid situation when the grid goes down. I have a Big Berkey, but use it for only washing my greens and for watering my hydroponic indoor plants. I distill my water, but it takes a lot of electricity to distill one gallon. This would be a game changer. I would be able to charge it up using my Bluetti AC200P. Yes. You need filters on hand at all times. The price is a good price right now, and considering purchasing one, but wanted to make sure it will last. I read one review on the website that one person purchased two just in case one goes out they still have another. Their quote one is none two is one. Not sure if I would purchase two since I still have my Big Berkey and some filters on hand.

Hi Bob, Thank you for your attention, ITEHIL RO water filter can not filter sea water at present, but we can successfully filter mixtures, as long as the ratio of salt and water does not exceed 1:2.

Yes they say it will however being our here in the Nevada desert, it's hard to come across some to test it
