I am Italian and if Italians give you compliments because of your eyes, trust me, it is not because we always give compliments (this is sort of true though) but because your eyes are ACTUALLY amazing. You have to consider also the kind of beauty we are used to. In Italy most girls have a Mediterannean beauty, which makes us more "sensitive" to Nordic beauty (natural blond hair, deep blue eyes, etc.), as we are not used to it in our everyday life. So don't assume our compliments are not genuine: we also mean them!

Yes I agree - maybe some Italians are insincere or they compliment women just to have sex with them, but I don’t think they’re *necessarily* insincere. They just think to compliment more often.

As a Norwegian guy i can confirm that Norwegians are very silent. If you just start talking to a Norwegian guy at the buss they will start thinking that you're crazy, but if you want Norwegians to talk a little bit more, get to known with him. They don't like to meet strangers that seems very turned on. If you're just a little bit silent too and talk slowly, then it's easier to get to known with him. And i promise, Norwegian men talks alot if they know you. Just sayin

I am an italian girl and I have dated both italian and norwigian boys (when i was on Holiday in the US) and i can tell it’s all true! If you want a man that makes you feel almost like protected and treats you like a princess you should go for the italians. If you want a shy, misterious and attractive boy go for the Norwegians! Personally prefer the Norwegians because sometimes the italians are even too open and feel like they’re the men and they have the control. But it’s a personal choice and I feel like we are all attracted to the opposite and probably that’s why norwegian girls prefer italian men and italian girls prefer northern boys 🙈

Please remember that you're tall, blone and with blue eyes, for most of the italian men you're their stereotype of beauty, so it's quite normal they say you, how you're beautiful. Anyway it's not true that girlfriends are second to mom, mom is important, probably italian men just need to take care of their girlfriend without forgetting how their parents, especially their mom, were (and are) important for them for everything they did for them.

Well, your experience was almost the same as my wife when she met me. I am the one who is part Italian and I actually made her day on our first date when I took her to my home and made her an actual homemade Italian meal. Also, you're right about the Italian mom thing. My wife learns to deal with it and I simply try to counteract my mom getting too involved by asserting my male authority in our household (without letting my mom actual make the family decisions, especially since she doesn't live with us), while assuring my wife that my mom is important, but not more important than her. It's a juggling act, to say the least. For what it's worth, if you're married to an Italian man and you have sons, then it's fair game and you can always take the role of the 'Italian mom'. I tell my wife this and she doesn't like to hear it, but it doesn't matter because our sons were inclined in being 'momma boys' even without her initially wanting to make this be the family structure; it just ended up that way so far. Now she just accepts that 'role' and tries to make sense out of it.

I can not speak about us as a men, nor about Italians, I am str8.. but as a Norwegian I can speak about Italian girlfriend I had some years ago. It was the funniest and the most carring person ever. We sadly broke up, at it was all my fault, I lived wild life, went to parties, drank every day, and behaved like a selfish moron towards her, made jelous scenes all the time and literally tortured her beain, hurted her many times, and all that time she was still caring and trying to find a way to deal and to communicate normally with me. And the worst thing is she loved me sober, hated me drunk, but I had anxiety attacks where only alcohol could help me to socialize with other people. She is married now and we are now good and very close friends, very important in eachother lives, I’ve changed, but I will never forgive myself why I wasn’t more mature and nicer to her, and eventually married her. Took me like a two years to recover a bit after we broke up. And even nowadays I so much miss her, despite I am in a happy relationship. Back to the topic lol Our girls have their own qualities, southern have some behavior patterns that we don’t really understand, maybe because we are more reserved, but opposite attracts after all. I totally understand while Norwegian women fall on the fluffy southern mentality. Even that Italian gf called me uptight all the time :D Annoyed the hell out of me lol But that trolling was also funny in the same time. Overall I would say southerns and northers do attract eachother.

CONFESSION FROM 1 ITALIAN MAN: My mother is still the woman who gave me birth, suffering and staying beside me when I couldn't take care of myself on my own. It wouldn't be fair from my side to abandon her or make her feel "useless", or drop her out of my life, when she becomes more needy and I become more self-sufficient. So to me I'll always help her out and respect her. Said that, I personally wouldn't compare my relationship with her to a profoundly established relationship with a partner/girlfriend. I know that many Italian guys are "mammoni", but I don't find myself in that category. I cook vegan, but am not good at fixing engines, as I just detest cars! So, I would fit the stereotype of Italians being not-as-useful as Norse men in helping out with a broken car. About the compliments, I just don't like lies, so I don't lie in my compliments, but while to me saying "you're really beautiful", my personal tastes of beauty (not necessarily classical ones) to my eye are very important and fulfilling, to someone else (more commonly among beholders of that beauty) it's a surface quality... which certainly doesn't have to be ALL about that person's qualities. Yes, I am emotional, but below the Italian average. I love Norse women's physical presence and several aspects of the mentality (I mean it, not just empty words) generally speaking.

My Norwegian friend in grand school was fun. I liked that she was very direct and could be blunt. It was sometimes very shocking her attitude toward sex, which for her could just be casual. I thought she would end up with a white guy, though she dated a range, but she married a guy who was half Korean and then took him back to Oslo. The most unusual thing about her was that she was super petite...which I don't associate with Norwegians.

@@MissTrueIvory Yes, in his family the women do these amazing 5-course feasts and they probably do all the cleaning as well. BUT, they only work a few months out of the year. They live in the very north of Italy, and I know that in the south, ways of life are different and more traditional. There are a lot of Italian women who are full-time workers of course, but I told my husband not to move here (to the US) and marry me if the expects me to continue working full time and do all the cleaning and cooking by myself because it's too much for one person to do. I bought my brand new home and cars myself, and have a college degree plus 4 years of Army service under my belt. An argument I have is that if a little ol' girly can do that, then a man can pick up a broom and be helpful. lol. :) Just saying. He has never complained about having to clean, but I did make my expectations very clear to him in the beginning of our relationship. He told me he thought it was only fair, and he knows that if he make enough money one day, I'll be happy to stay home and do all the cleaning. Of course It has helped that his passions are baking and cooking. He's a great man.

Rosida Andriyana Unfortunately Italy is very divided between north and south! and by saying that i mean that north and south usually don’t mix together. It’s not that they have a different culture of course, the fact is that this type of division comes from the uneven economic development of that particular country. In facts, the north of italy has more industries and for example that’s where Lamborghini and Ferrari were born. In contrast the south is more known to remain traditional and hot, where you eat a lot of good food but also it is more difficult to find the job of your dream. The invisible line that is dividing the north and the south usually causes controversies between italians

  • @meri2221

    @meri2221

    3 жыл бұрын

Rosida Andriyana i also wanted to add that Italy has not always been united in the past, for example in 1800, but it was actually divided into countries like “Republic of Venice” or “Duchy of Milan”, or the “Kingdom of the 2 Sicilies” . Italian unification only started in 1861. It may seem a long time ago but the fact is that every city in Italy is different from the other, that’s also the reason why there is a lot of tourism there, but i just want to get to the point by saying that beside the fact that north is very different from south (also geographically the north of italy borders a country like Switzerland and the south of Italy, like Sicily, is very close to North Africa!) keep in mind that a generic guy from Rome or Naples or also Sicily may be different from a guy from Milan or Venice or Florence!

Oh, that's coincidence! The word "CIAO!" The pronunciation is similar to the word "chào" in Vietnamese. And the word "chào" also means "hello" or "bye". I think is related to the origin of the Latin script used by the Vietnamese. In the 17th century, a Spanish Catholic missionary created a way of rewriting Vietnamese pronunciation in Latin script. And the word "hello" is used today by the Vietnamese borrowed from the Western way of saying? I guess so. Interesting.

I liked your video, it was funny that you have developed such a noticeable Italian accent in english though rather than Norwegian. Have anybody else commented that you sound Italian? As a Norwegian man, I got to say some of the problems with Norwegian men are really a Norwegian problem. Norwegian men and women simply aren't very good at interacting with each other. Norwegian women don't typically signal that they are approachable. Latin women are usually a lot better at this. I've found it much easier to approach women from latin countries than Norwegian ones. I think we Norwegians are just kind of socially inept in general. Of course it varies in Norway from the region. E.g. I find women from Trøndelag very friendly and approachable. And yeah we Norwegians are terrible at giving complements even when there is something we like. It is not just men to women but also to friends and colleagues. I don't know about you but I find it just cringe-wordy to give complements. If I do that to a girl, I automatically think that she will get mad at me and think I am hitting on her and trying to get into her pants. Sad I know. But I am pretty sure a lot of Norwegian guys think this way. Anyway on the internet nobody knows you so I'll give you a complement. You do have very nice eyes. It is like you have a sparkle in them, so I would not be surprised if men gave you complements about them in Italy. I am pretty sure Norwegian men also think that, but there is no way in hell that we would tell that to you face to face :-P

Plus also not only are white Americans noticeably shorter than Europeans but our younger generation of Asians have equaled white Americans in average height and some of these east Asian young adult populations like Korean Americans are taller on average than white Americans because most of their men are over 175 cm. But just like European Americans Asian Americans are starting to show overweight issues with a few becoming obese. This somewhat tall east Asian Americans of the younger generation probably hit its peak and they more than likely will be mostly under 175 cm in future generations as well. I hear that Asians in Europe with their younger generation are mostly over 175 cm for their men. Everyone is getting taller on average in Europe. Most of these traditional Europeans seem like most of their men are over 175 cm with some of European countries having half of these white men 180 cm or taller with even some having most of their white men over 180 cm. I think Europeans are showing Americans including white Americans to stay active, get as educated as possible in higher education, eat healthier which means stay away from processed foods and GMO foods. If we do this Americans will get taller again and have much less obesity issues and also increase our life expectancy again. The life expectancy of the USA is now starting to decline and is expected to get worse as well according to scientists.

I gotta say, As an italian, I will always love my mamma and papa', they are the only people you can trust for ever in your life(at least for me). The person who can be the same as my parents could be my future possible wife, but I don't how can a girl that I am dating be upon my parents. it's not about connection, it's about true love, it's about the family that you love and the girl that you really love who will be important as you parents. So when you are italian it's about give really worth to people considering them part of your family ;)

We Latin American men are almost the same as Italian and Spanish men, psichologically and emotionally speaking, it is definitely the Southern European upbringing.

Not all italian men are so, many don't need to have a mum together in relationship and pay for you. But in general too I prefer mentality in Norway ! Except that for have sex you need to be drunk.

It helps if the woman is drunk. Then they want to have sex. U do not have to drink if you do not want to, but it is annoying to chat up drunk girls when you are sober. I love that we do not have this virginity culture they have elsewhere. Like my chauvunist friend says, you got to try the car before you buy it. Sexual chemistry is paramount for a good relationship in my book.

It's right That the Italians speak with the hands and love their mother. They do many compliments, but they are not always sincere. Nordic men are romantic and sweet , and it's not true That norvegians are very tall. They are of average height and the shortest in Scandinavia. There Is One of the most ancient ethnicities. In Scandinavia

I'm already subscribed to your channel sweet Ida :) Not just Italian men are hot, friendly, sociable and gentleman, but also all Mediterranean country men like Spanish, Greek, Turkish. I'm also a Turkish and for example : I never let my girlfriend to pay the addition in the restaurant or bar. This is not mean I'm a master in relationship. This is my gentleman understanding. But we also do this to our visitors too, not just for girlfriend. :)

what you dont understand is that when the most "flattering" a mas is the mist chauvinist of course, men does not have to pay the cinema ticket to a woman cause there are equals , in Latin culture the chauvinism is common law also domestic violence and misogynistic
