I believe you. There are such things as Italian prunes cause I have 2 of them. I got mine to dehydrate the fruit because it's better than candy. They are now 2 years old and I need to learn how to prune them tho.

We love the flavor and texture of our prune trees. We have had issues with growing them though, the tree seem weak but this year we finally got a lot of prunes from a tree that is about 15 years old. I am looking for recipes to preserve these since we can’t eat all of them.

We used to grow prunes and send them off to the dehydrator and then sell them from our barn. I can still taste them when you opened up that prune plum.

Very interesting flavor and there’s so many people that have told me there’s no such thing as a prune tree

@@ZaatarGardens maybe they think the prunes grow wrinkled. I liked the taste of them, very different than a regular plum flavor.

Maybe. A lot of them think they are plums and then dried and then become a prune. but I don’t think you can dry plum that easily because plums have a lot of water content, the prunes do not.
