Italian Conversation Practice for Beginners | Learn Italian
Ойын-сауық
Meeting someone in Italian is often your first real Italian test to practice your language-learning skills when visiting Italy or another Italian-speaking region. So, we're here to help you practice speaking Italian with this Italian Conversation Practice for Beginners. Our native English speaker will say each phrase, and then our native Italian speaker will repeat each phrase in Italian.
These casual Italian phrases are good for friends, family, or just meeting a stranger, who is around the same age as you, in a Italian-speaking country.
In Italian, there are two different ways to translate the singular form of the word “you”: Formal = Lei, Casual = Tu. This video demonstrates a casual conversation between people of approximately the same age, so uses “tu”.
There are a few Italian phrases in this video that end in a/o. The change in these sentences is based on the gender of the speaker or the person being referred to. For example, a man would say "Sono stanco" to say "I'm tired," while a woman would say "Sono stanca." Similarly, a man stating his nationality would say "Sono americano," while a woman would say "Sono americana." If a woman is asked, "Have you ever been to New York?" the correct form would be "Sei mai stata a New York?" but for a man, it would be "Sei mai stato a New York?" Since this video demonstrates two women talking to each other, we use "Sei mai stata a New York?"
Watching and listening to native Italian speakers is the fastest way to learn Italian, so start with this Italian Conversation for Beginners lesson.

Very few? Italian and Spanish ha 82% of lexical similarity. If an Italian speaker and a Spanish speaker learn 40-50 key words that differ and the main false friends of the other language they can talk to each other in their language and have entire good conversations. Sometimes they will find new words they won't understand which will be easily memorize because they are mostly precise and phonetical languages.

@@augustopinochet6841 In Italian there is "buon giorno" and "buon dì", "fratello/sorella" and "germano/germana", "birra" and "cervogia"... I am Italian and I watched a lot of video contents in Spanish understanding a lot (actually usually everything if there is no slang involved and the topic is relatively familiar). Italian has a rich vocabulary and many words from Spanish (and also Portuguese and French) are recognisable because they are also vintage or less used Italian words. It has also dozens of dialects which increase the comprehension (in Venetian, street is calle, in Neapolitan and Sicilian the verb "tenere" is used like in Spanish and several words are more similar to the Spanish version...) If you know well your language you understand much more of other related languages. Probably Italian is the ideal Romance language for understanding other Romance languages because it is the one with the greatest lexical similarity with the sum of the others and it has a relatively vast lexicon. The fact that Italy is also geographically the central place of the Latin world is reflected in its language.
Buongiorno beautiful people 😂😂❤❤❤
It’s kinda similar to spanish

Hey yall folks, please just remember that if you order a pizza and a coffee in italy you dont have to do it the same time. Because they re gonna give you an espresso, which is like 850 ounces. So listen to my advice: get your pizza with something to drink (i.e. water), then go the counter and have your coffee before you go away, so it wont get cold

Hi
Cosí sounds like "goats" or "tits" in my language (Cz)🤣Anyway, thank you, I love Italian; I had a kind of strange feeling of familiarity when I travelled to Italy, visited the historic places, met people and even the language sounds so natural to me. If I believed in reincarnation, I would say that I lived there. It touches my heart so much!
