You all are the best! I am trying to prepare for an upcoming trip to Italy. I have only studied spanish, so the difference in pronounciation is catching me off guard. My brain thinks I know the words but they are quite different! Thank you for all of the help. I have already learned so much from watching a handful of your videos.

I just became a subscriber today! I'm an American living in Nevada. In about 6 months, I will have my dual citizenship, by descent. I'm looking forward to returning to Italy as a proud Italian citizen and promised myself I will be fluent in the language when I arrive. (12-18 months from now)

Yes.. very easy for you being first generation removed. I had to go back a bit further to my grandparents. All born in Italia.

This is by far my favorite YT channel! So this might be a weird request (and feel free to disregard if you don’t agree!) but I’m wondering if the translations could be slightly more literal? For example, I would love to know that “sono stato con” means “I was” rather than how it’s translated here as “I spent time with”. I mean no disrespect, I’m just thinking maybe this could be slightly confusing for other beginners like myself. Thank you so much for the content though! Katies journey through learning Italian has inspired me so much.

LOL I see I have watched this one already! And right away the Moka got my attention. I always fill the basket before putting it in the pot. That way I can level it easily. I tried it in today and it seemed a lot more difficult to do it the way you do at the start of this video.
