@@sladesoshady4049 That's _actually_ more or less an accurate statement. The Aburame Clan raise insects that absolutely _wreck_ Doujutsu wielders by sheer happenstance. Theoretically, nothing apart from the needs of plot is keeping Shino from sending a swarm to _eat an opponent's Susanoo_ because it's _just Chakra_ in the end, which is what his insects feed on. This does _not_ make him more powerful than a typical Uchiha, though factually speaking he actually is; the compatibility is just awful between Uchiha and Aburame. Susanoo is useless, Fire Style consumes a _lot_ of Chakra and generally can't wipe out enough of the insects to keep them from repopulating in mere seconds, and Genjutsu doesn't do anything to bugs because their brains are too primitive to fool in such a sophisticated way. In a clash between an Uchiha and an Aburame of identical tenure and Chakra capacity, _always_ bet on the Aburame.

Since Sasuke is an Indra reincarnate it's safe to assume that he has more Chakra than the average Uchiha. So I'd say that Sasuke definitely had atleast a little bit more Chakra than Itachi, even if he was suppressing Orochimaru.

I always felt like Itachi's MS abilities and his Susanoo were absolutely non-combative. Tsukuyomi is, in essence, a surefire way to avoid combat, so is the yata mirror. If combat is unavoidable, he's got ways to instantly end it in amaterasu and the totsuka blade. Itachi felt like a pacifist (I think it's mentioned in the manga in fact), and his abilities are essentially two ways to achieve peace: being violent or non-violent.

MS Abilities actually seem to be cruel and ironic takes on the trauma that caused them to awaken in the first place. In fact, Mangekyo Sharingan Abilities _seem_ to relate both to the _circumstances_ behind their awakening, and the _reaction_ of the wielder to those circumstances. In Itachi's case, his MS Abilities are literal takes on the metaphor that was his life at the time he got his Mangekyo Sharingan: His whole world effectively went up in flames (Amaterasu) along with any hope he had of saving his Clan, but he promised that he'd make Danzo's life a _living nightmare_ if he _ever_ reneged on his promise to leave Sasuke alone (Tsukuyomi). To his credit, Danzo took this threat seriously enough that he actually _complied_ with Itachi's demands up until after the latter's death. Similarly, Obito's MS awakened when he watched Rin commit suicide-by-Kakashi. He ultimately decided that the world he was living in _had_ to be a lie, and he committed in that instant to Madara's plot to create an entirely new world where neither he nor anyone else needed to fear harm ever again (Kamui). Sasuke's MS Abilities are akin to Itachi's. His world and everything he knew about it went up in flames (Amaterasu) after Itachi's story was revealed to him, but he ultimately decided that the fault lied with _everyone else_ and so he vowed to make the world _burn_ (Kagutsuchi). We don't have the full context behind Shisui's circumstances to know what his story is for certain. I can speculate, however, that after he allowed someone who he considered a friend to die out of jealousy, he felt _tremendous_ remorse, guilt, and self-loathing for having done so. In this moment, he wished that he could have been a different, better person and vowed to do what it took to keep others from making the same mistakes he had (Kotoamatsukami).

Something you didn't talk about that I think would have had a big impact: if Itachi had never had the chakra sickness and had EMS from the start, how much stronger would he have been able to train to become? You mentioned how much they damaged his body over time, but without his body failing around him, he probably would have been continually improving on his power beyond what it just would have been without it there. If we assume his sickness was similar to Kimimaro's and any time he used his chakra, his sickness was killing him, we'd probably also have to assume that he would have known that and basically given up on training to improve his power at all, and he spent several years like that before it got him.

Though i will say he would put up a better fight than EMS Sasuke did but considering Madara was no diffing him with no eyes i can't see Itachi being able to beat Madara. This guy also acts like Sage mode's multiplier is way more than EMS's and the only reason Madara was able to beat EMS Sasuke which is not true at all. If anything Madara would have done better with his EMS considering he was more familiar with it, the only way i see Itachi winning is if he hits Madara with Tsukuyomi and stabbing him with the Totsuka Blade. Though i don't see that happening since Madara has superior combat prowess

@@martian14 In all fairness, this was only _after_ Madara souped himself up with the Hashirama Cells he hickied off of his boyfriend. Edo Madara isn't really a fair comparison to _anyone_ in the series. Madara during his battle that formed the Valley of the End, however, is a _much_ more reasonable benchmark, since that's basically the limit of power he was able to attain on his own.

Honestly the whole DMS Kakashi thing never sat right with me. It was undeniably cool and cathartic at the moment to see Kakashi rise to the moniker "Kakashi of the Sharingan" by mastering everything a Sharingan has to offer. But, the appeal of Kakashi, at least for me, was that he never had the Godliness to him that many villains and Kages of lore did. He always struck me as the boots on the ground Dog of War type. From the appreciation and mastery of the basics, the gear he always has on, the approach to missions and training his students he had. And that was and remains his appeal.

⁠@@yanyanzhang5813I know I’m a year late but Kakashi isn’t that strong on his own without the Sharingan even as a hokage. Here’s my take on strongest to weakest hokage. 1. Naruto obviously. 2. Hashirama. 3. Minato 4.Hiruzen 5.Tobirama 6.Tsunade 7.Kakashi Hiruzen and Minato and Tsunade and Kakashi was hard to place but Minato with the rasengan, Sage mode, Flying Thunder God jutsu and him being a seal master on par with the Uzumaki should honestly be able to squeeze out an extreme diff against Hiruzen. Okay Tsunade and Kakashi are both strong. Hokage kakashi does have a much larger chakra pool and way more stamina than he had with the sharingan. And sure he does have many jutsu but Tsunade and her forehead seal (forgot the name of it) is really hard to kill. And with her knowledge of the human body and immense strength one wrong move from Kakashi and he’s down. I see many people say Tsunade is the weakest because of her battle with Kabuto and Orochimaru in og Naruto but at that point she hadn’t seen real combat for easily 10+ years. Kakashi would honestly do better with the sharingan because of Kamui and he could use Chidori/Raikiri. Yes he does have purple lightning which he created himself. It is however still a weaker version of the chidori/raikiri. Now if you count in all other Kage then yeah he is one of the strongest but still isn’t top 2 or 3. He is top 10 though. Those stronger than him are the hokage mentioned above, Fourth raikage A and the third raikage.

The only thing i do not understand is how did itachi get the totsuka balde and yata mirror? From what orochimaru and zetsu said, it sounds like these weapons were things anyone could have found in the world. But itachi somehow grafted it into his susano, which is something that, (as far as im aware) no one else has been able to replicate.

Bottom line is, if Madara was able to punk Obito, it's safe to assume that he would do the same to Itachi. We don't even know what Madara's mangekyo powers are.

So the fact that a live/prime Itachi with EMS and no sickness would rival Madara would be insane. I find people's head canon version of Itachi to be so charming. It's sort of like watching an athlete with a promising career having it end on an injury and then all the speculation of what could have been. When in reality we will never know.

Used hashirama cells and #2 he obtained the rinnegan(also only got that ability from hashirama cells) and #3 more times than one needed a tailed beast to fight with him. Itachi on the other hand focused and perfected his sharingan. Itachi had such a high level of power just from mastering his sharingan. A level of power Madara quite frankly couldn't achieve with his sharingan, that's why he need hashirama cells and the rinnegan. When comparing these two sharingan users there is no contest whatsoever. Itachi is an example of how strong an Uchiha can become using Uchiha abilities while Madara on the other hand only got his power from hacks outside of himself

People also forget that Madara never even had his MS ability revealed and wank shit like "Itachi killed the Uchiha clan". Not as impressive as it sounds. It may be true that all the Uchihas were mobilized eventually but they were still caught off guard, most of them were fodder comparable to the shinobi alliance anyway + he didn't even solo them, Obito was helping.

My brother and I always talked about an Itachi that had EMS. I’m glad you did this video and did it justice. Thank you lol!

In my opinion Itachi is one of the most Unique, Authentic and Influential characters from the series. The thing that people underestimate about Itachi fights/encounters, isn't just his power, (it's mainly writters or Kishimoto's fault for making Itachi seem or to look very powerful throughout the series) but how smart and intelligent he is during various situations, he never, ever underestimates his opponents because of his composure and his way of being, the level of thinking he's on honestly dwars most people in the series, with only people like Minato and Shikaku comparable with him. More precisly, Itachi isn't just an ordinary Shinobi also, he pretty much knows and he's also aware that all strong opponents have weaknesses (including himself), and he specializes in finding those "weaknesses" and exploiting them ("*Even the strongest of opponents always has a weakness*" - Uchiha Itachi) because he's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. Itachi is very unique and authentic, especially in the factor of facing various encounters approach, his unpredictability in his way of fighting style approach it's his key factor in all of his encounters. Being blind or nearly blind has never slowed him down (especially when he's pretty much serious, but that's the point, he has never go all out against anyone during the series.) Itachi it's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. (at least that's what we were shown in the anime by the creator Masashi Kishimoto). Moral of the story, never underestimate Itachi. He did more sick then most healthy ninjas do in their entire life. In my opinion No One should underestimate such an unpredictable Shinobi like Itachi, even Madara (I won't say that Itachi can beat him, but at least he will be pretty much able to put a decent fight that Madara will also be impressed in my opinion). Also how can some of you guys even consider that Totsuka Blade it's slow when no such speed feat has been shown through the Shippuden that state it that it is slow? All of you are assuming it to be slow it may not be the case... Its not that the sword is unavoidable but it clearly has a very long range and is a very long blade. If you look at the manga, Naruto, Bee and Itachi are all relatively small from Nagato's point of view, and you can see the Totsuka Blade extending all the way from Itachi, piercing through Nagato, and still managing to nearly pop out toward the reader out of the page. I would say its fast because Kabuto coudldn't even react to it, and its not like Nagato was completely immobile to the point that he couldn't sidestep the blade. Also, Kabuto controlling people from far away is never stated to inhibit the Edos' reaction speed in any way. Being controlled by someone thousands of miles away didn't stop the Third Raikage from dodging KCM Naruto's Rasenshuriken. And as for Orochimaru, the sword struck him in between syllables of a word during his speech. I think that that is pretty fast. Pair the Totuska Blade with a good feint and its lethal because its ethereal, meaning it can pierce through any object. If the sword didn't live up to its reputation then Orochimaru wouldn't seek it out. People need to stop downplaying Itachi and denying the very clear speed feats of Totsuka. There is no room for interpretations here. The advantage of being an Uchiha, especially for Itachi and Madara, is that during an encounter against them, they always have a counter because of their unpredictable way of fighting factor, they don't run out of options or techniques, they almost always have a counter in their arsenal, even forbidden jutsus seems irrellevant against them, only a few Uchihas know a certain way to approach the situation with a certain and effective technique, that's why is hard/difficult to fight against them in my opinion. ☯️ 🤷‍♂️ Here are the things that make Itachi so formidable. Tsukuyomi - A genjutsu so powerful that you literally can't escape it unless you have the same blood as Itachi, as stated by Itachi himself and proven later by Sasuke, or you're a jinchuriki. Jinchuriki are supposed to be immune to genjutsu but it hasn't been proven, but when Bee was fighting Edo Nagato and Itachi with Naruto, he said to watch out for Tsukuyomi explicitly. Literally 99% of all opponents fighting Itachi have no way of stopping Tsukuyomi. You could have the power to split the planet in half and it wouldn't matter. (Want to know why? - Kakashi pretty much state it in the actual anime and manga that Tsukuyomi it's such a dangerous Genjutsu Technique because it happen in a instant, even if you realize that you are trapped in the Tsukuyomi, it will be too late, because Itachi could approach you during that time in the real world (or he can use an Explosive Clone to approach you without you even realizing it in time and he can pretty much finish you before you can even realize, - 72 hours in Tsukuyomi realm means 1 second or a couple of seconds in the real world. Tsukuyomi can't be broken, when used to it's fullest.) The Sword of Totsuka and Yata Mirror - The Susanoo itself is a near invincible defense but these two weapons take it to the next step. The Sword of Totsuka can seal "anything" if it even touches it. It's completely OP. It's hard to fight a guy that can seal you away if his sword even touches you. The Yata Mirror is even a bigger deal in my opinion. It doesn't block attacks, it's "negates" them. You could throw an Amaterasu covered Bijuu bomb at Itachi and the Yata mirror will negate it, making it so the Susanoo doesn't even need to take a blow. You could punch the Yata mirror and the force will completely be negated. His biggest strength of all: tactical intelligence - Itachi always outsmarts and plans for everything because the plot demands it. You're physically strong? Itachi is already 2 steps ahead of you knowing exactly what to do. You're extremely fast? Again, 2 steps. You're going to try and outlast Itachi in a fight? Good luck. To add to this, some of the 3 most powerful techniques in the verse are due to his intelligence and planning ability; Izanami, Izanagi, and Kotoamatsukami. Izanami - A forbbiden genjutsu technique that allows you to alter someone's destiny. Impossible to break out of even if you know you're in a genjutsu without complying with the users set destiny for you. Even someone like Bee, a perfect Jinchuriki, can't escape Izanami unless he does what Itachi wants him to. Izanagi - You somehow gained an advantage over Itachi? He makes it so that advantage never happened. Kotoamatsukami - Though Shisui's technique, Itachi has his eye which effectively makes it his weapon. A genjutsu so powerful that the person it's cast on doesn't even know they're under a genjutsu. Like the Tsukuyomi, completely OP. To add to all of this, Itachi is pretty good at hand to hand combat, is great with shuriken, is extremely fast, is great with regular fire techniques, is slippery and unpredictable, and has the extremely dangerous and fast Genjutsu style of fighting approach that can caught you off guard almost at any time. With all of these things considered you've got one dangerous ninja. Lastly but not least Kishimoto made sure that Itachi was seen as someone special and he did an incredible job in establishing that in the story. When Itachi Uchiha awakened his Susano'o, he was seen wielding legendary weapons of the Totsuka Blade and the Yata Mirror. The former allowed Itachi to seal anyone he pierced in a world of genjutsu forever, while the latter gave him the ability to deflect any and all attacks thrown towards him, regardless of whether they were physical or spiritual in nature. According to Zetsu (who was around since the period of Kaguya time era until the present of Naruto) he state it in the anime and also in the manga that these weapons, when combined with his Susano'o, made Itachi Invincible. This is why Kishimoto basically had to give him a handicap: Naruto AIDS. 🤷‍♂️ ☯️

A NCHammer video about my favourite character, Itachi, you know I'm clicking the play button as fast as possible. This tragic hero is a fan favourite for a reason. Top 3 or 4 along with Naruto, Sasuka, and Kakashi. It would have been very interesting to see a healthy version of Itachi in the manga. But since we can't, this video does it for us. These two versus videos of Itachi versus Madara, and Minato have been fun to watch. Great work.

Now Also think of this. Will to live training and nothing holding him back. If he wasn’t held back by ms and his sickness his ability would skyrocket tremendously because he wouldn’t had nothing to hold him back. Remember he wanted to die but he wanted sasuke to be the one to do it. So he only kept himself alive but on the brink of death. Plus him having ms since the Uchiha Massacre would mean that he would be stronger from there with better training time. In reality he solos the Naruto verse

He wasn't reincarnated he was edo tensai, and that was a weaker version of him. The only advantage he had was the ms spam and constantly refilling chakra which was also smaller than his chakra alive with the illness.

@@PlanScare wrong, it was stated in the manga itachi was weaker with the exception of the ms spam. He was physically weaker and had an overall lower chakra pool. It was written that kabuto didn't make the effort to bring him back at the strength he was when he was alive like he did with madara.

@A-Aron S what chapter does Kabuto make that statement, may I ask? It is known that Edos have a lower chakra pool. However, Itachi having unlimited stamina, no blindness and a healthy body, is a big upgrade from when he was alive.

late to the party but a note i haven't seen in the comments concerning Itachi is: The thing Itachi took pride in the most was being able to break down any jutsu he saw. It would certainly have to be a quick fight but even then, I don't see Madara allowing a quick fight to take place. As we've seen countless times, his pride will force a fight to be drawn out just to test how strong the opponent is. This could also play into Itachi finding a way to dispatch Madara but I agree, I feel like it's a coin toss, but I favor Madara in this situation. i also believe his SS shield would protect him from Limbo which too is a spiritual jutsu and the quickest way to end Madara would be to use the sealing blade.

I mean, the Uchiha Masscre isn't as impressive as it sounds on paper. You have to remember that it was actually Obito who took on the majority of the military for e of the Uchiha, Itachi mostly took down their civilian population minus a few outliers. Bit late, but I think it's important to note that we know Ninjas continue to grow in their 20s, and the only EMS Sasuke we saw was in the 16-18 range. I understand the comparison in chakra pools, but Itachi is straight-up older, which means if you say his chakra pool is = to Sasuke, then it should in fact be larger. Another note you didn't touch on because you were so focused on EMS was training. If Itachi doesn't have anime aids, then he of course can train MORE and be more EFFICIENT in it, as his body isn't constantly trying to kill himself. While I agree with your assessment of the coin flip with Madara, I do so with these reasons in mind. Alongside that, we also know that EMS grants something EXTRA ability-wise from Sasuke. Now, if that something extra is because it's an eye upgrade, or if that something extra is because you gain at least some of the abilities of the person whose eyes you took (thus Sasuke gaining Blaze Release from Itachis Amateratsu), is unknown to my knowledge. So it's hard to say if Itachi himself would gain some of Fugaku's abilities or if his own would be upgraded.

It still amazes me that they're able to move while in susanoo and like act calm, they're quite literally lit on fire as far as the bodies nervous system can tell and i forgot itachi blocked a samehada strike with a kunai

I wonder if there is enough material to cover the sound village in depth. I liked the characters that came from it, and their justsu.

I totally agree with the final conclusion that Nick came to. Abilities and strength so close to alive Madara's that a coin toss would be needed to determine a winner feels about right. But that being said... even with the sickness and MS overuse Itachi is still one of the most badass characters in the entirety of the Naruto universe.

Hey hammer. This is JoJo. I love watching your videos by the way; totally awesome!!! Now, being an advent Naruto lover, I would have to fill you in on some facts about Itachi. First, he was a pacifist, meaning that he doesn't like to fight, which is why everything he did was defense. Second, he had help in the Uchiha massacre, which would be Obito, possing as Madara. But I do agree with you that if Itachi wouldn't have been sick, and have the EMS, yeah, he could take on Madara.

I feel itachi would’ve achieved his goal to be the strongest in the world.

His sickness hampered his potential at 13 the thing is it does not matter whether he can surpass madara its just that he had insane potential that he could not achieve itachi is a prodigy born once in 100 years he had insane potential i personally think he has the same potential as sasuke if he was sick maybe more or less but about the same and sasuke has same potential and talent as madara like tobirama said that is why he had insane level of potential i personally think he had the potential to become 2nd strongest non six path character if he exclude six path just talking about non six path i believe he could be 2nd to hashirama in power with ems no sickness and training

Are we ignoring the fact Itachi had help from Obito when he massacred his clan? We can also argue Danzo wanted to be sure Shisui was out of the way before the Uchiha Massacre. Shisui likely was the only thing stopping the massacre.

Itachi vs Kabuto was like in a game when you're very high level and you have to go back and do the extra missions when fighting one of the lower bosses where you got to like land 20 hits and if you're not careful you can combo him in three hits and take him out

The thing is Madara was like 90 when he died and itachi was what 20 if itachi was 90 he would be the strongest person we've seen in Naruto

Why Madara never fought again after Hashirama defeated him. He wouldn't get more intelligent for some reason because that's not how the brain works. And he wouldn't get any battle experience since he wasn't able/didn't fight anymore

Sure he wouldn't get more raw intelligence as in processing speed and all that, but he will get infinitely more knowledge with which to use that prior experience and base intelligence. I would think 60 or so years of thinking, reflection, planning, and possibly research as one of the smartest people in naruto would probably lead you to be much more powerful when you are given a young functioning body again even if its not 60 years of battle experience or hardcore training.
