I got family in Detroit like that. We’ve been poor our whole lives and my brothers and I managed to eek by, now doing ok but not middle class or at all rich. It’s hard seeing our cousins and uncles/aunts try to make ends meet. We try to help whenever we can but we have our own kids to provide for. When people say “pull yourselves up by your bootstraps” honestly do not know what it’s like having nothing and coming from nothing. That stare-down is a modern-day version of an old west gunfight. You just got the feeling that if either flinched someone was going to draw their weapon. Great tension was created by both actors.

Toby had Marcus right where he wanted him. Sitting the chair would have impeded his movement to grab his gun for just a second and that’s all the time Toby would have needed. The look of concern on Marcus’s face kind of shows that he knew he was in a bad spot.

It's great that the movie ends right there. Given Hamilton's character, and given the fact that Toby is, in fact, just as responsible as his dumb brother for the death of Hamilton's friend -- I don't think that Hamilton would leave this alone. He'll find Toby again and go out in a "blaze of glory" one way or the other.
