Ichigo literally manifested a zanpakuto out of reiatsu when urahara was training him before the soul society arc and guess how quincies get their weapons, they manifest it using reiatsu. God the foreshadowing is insane

In the manga when Ichigo first met "Zangetsu" his name was blacked out. Supposedly he was trying to say Yhwach, as in the anime you can hear a faint "ha" after his name was distorted. When ichigo first met Zangetsu in the manga Zangetsu said "I AM Zangetsu" whilst smiling. But in his reflection you could see him frowning due to Ichigo not believing him.

basically, Uryu’s mom is what they call a Gemistch Quincy (half-breed) and Masaki was a Echt Quincy (pure-blood) before her fight with White. When Yhwach activated the Auswalhën, he planned to take the life of every Gemistch Quincies but Masaki could’ve just loose her powers if Grand Fisher wasn’t here and not her life like Katagiri. So in short, due to her Hollow, Masaki was mistaken by Yhwach for a Gemistch

The "rain" refers to the sadness Ichigo feels in his inner world in which Zangetsu resides. Same thing can be apply when he revealed his true idendity and then Ichigo's inner world starts to crumble.

Old Man Zangetsu isn't literally Ywhach, he's Ichigo's quincy powers, and since quincy powers all ultimately derive from Ywhach himself, he took the form of Yhwach. He is now manifested as the smaller blade of Ichigo's Shikai while White is the larger blade.

the moment when "old man zangetsu" said : "and then i would have to kill u with my own hands" he knew that if ichigo chose to be a soul reaper that would lead him to fighting the REAL yhwach "his own hands" that's why he wanted him to follow the path of a quincy.. so mindblowing !

I still cannot fathom how terrifying ichigo must be to the shows villians, this mad was captain class with a fragment of his power, minimul training and a few months of experience

During Ichigo vs Kenpachi, Old Man Zangetsu stopped Ichigos bleeding with Quincy abilities and if you look at Ichigos reiatsu when he powers up it takes the form of a Hollow Mask so I'm guessing Old Man Zangetsu tapped into real Zangetsus power to make him be able to match Kenpachi, he could do this because he was the center of Ichigos power at the time, as we saw when real Zangetsu got absorbed by Old Man Zangetsu in Ichigos inner world.

Twice in the series someone has tried to tell Ichigo of his Quincy lineage. The first time was when "Zangetsu" and Ichigo met, Ichigo asked him "who are you" to which Zangetsu TRIED to reply with " Who am I? Don't you know, it's me---" and he was cut off by something preventing him from saying his name, Yhwach(won't spoil who does that).

Just to note, in the manga, before Ishida joined the Sternrittrers, I'm pretty sure the last time we saw him was in Ichigo's room, so we had little to no idea why he joined, so all of the Ishida scenes between Ichigo leaving for Hueco Mundo and Ishida's betrayal were brand new

When Ichigo went to try to control his Hollow powers and saw white. He asked “Who are you?” And white LITERALLY said “I am ZANGETSU”

When Ishin tells Masaki ''I'm here to protect you.'' It's the same scene when Ichigo told Rukia ''I've come to rescue you''. Both saving those who saved them.

I think all Quincy’s may have an inner Yhawach that represents their powers but since soul reapers can look into their inner world, Ichigo was able to access that version of Yhawach? I feel like that makes sense in my head

I'll make sure not to spoil. Just so you know, yeah, his old Zanpakuto all this time was his version of a Quincy bow, (they use way more than just bows, which they revealed this arc), with his own Volstandig. Remember how Quilge in EP 3 wore his own spiritual energy? Now Ichigo wore a jacket in "Bankai", that was part of his "Bankai", which he mentioned back in Hueco Mundo to Unohana. That was actually his Volstandig. Also, he looked EXACTLY LIKE YHWACH when he used Mugetsu against Aizen, with the black hair and red eyes and everything. He even used Blut Vene to stop bleeding out against Kenpachi, this was all planned out since day 1.

Bleach took over anime for me this year and I'm proud of it. I'm glad we're getting the second season in July
