That song is Bonkers. It was clearly worth the wait! Chuggy and swing at the same time, there's everything a good metal song needs, perfect. Would be interesting to put some vocals on it!

Awesome playing, as usual, Pete! 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻 That Legato section is especially impressive...
Yeah, that chorus hits pretty hard. Pretty sure my neighbors are going to learn to enjoy this one.
Great original piece, Pete. Complex, heavy, and epic. We'll done.

Absolutely love the riffing. The chorus has such a Castlevania vibe to it. Would be absolutely proud to have wrote a song like this!
This would go so perfectly over a boss fight
Your original instrumentals are awesome.
Reminds me of within the ruins old stuff, 👌🤌 learning chorus asap
Excellent job !
Love it. Must've felt good to finally piece it together. Keep it up.
Love the mix on that guitar tone. Smooth in the highs and still very aggressive. 🤌🏼 I wish I knew how to do that!!!! 😂
badass! Love it
Love everything about that. The sweepy kinda riff is my jam, might try and give something similar a go on a new track. haha
That bridge riff❤
That bridge was sick man!!! 🤘🤘🤘
Awesome song! Love the contrast between the heavy chug and the melodic runs. Love that you were able to bring the full song into fruition! I can really relate with having songs slowly form themselves over the years. I've got several riffs from years ago that I'll come back to every so often and develop it into something more (or turn it into something completely different!)
This song is awesome Pete, the chorus melody is really sick, it reminds me kind of Muse vibes mixed with Keith Merrows, and all the bridges ans extra stuffs you've added compared to the first version sounds amazingly good, especially that bridge After the second chorus. Well done Pete, as usual this is great content 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Very cool!
Dangggg.... Speechless 😮 nice work
Very cool track. Didn't expect the changes when I heard the first riff, but this is a a very diverse track and I love it!
cool thanks I'm taking this
When I saw the title of this video I was so stoked and, you're right, it was worth it! Great song! I really dig the chunky parts. That's just what my ears are drawn to. But those shreds were epic too!!

What a journey. 6 years for one track! You had a blast creating it, wrote a shitton of great riffs, practiced a lot, learnt a lot. Be proud of yourself dude. The result, this absolute 🔥barn burner🔥is just the cherry on top. I'm happy for you.

i would have started with this pretty cool riff at (4:35) as a main riff with more repetitions throughout the song and potentially leave the one with what you started off for the bridge or something like that, i feel like a riff as catchy as that should definitly been played more
Good things come..
Pretty neat dude! Reminds me a lot of The Safety Fire but a bit more 'surgical' sounding if that makes sense lol keep up the good work!
Sick riffs and a nice solo. I loved it \m/ But I must confess, that headless guitars give me agony

OoooOOOOo, i remeber this! Red Shecter guitar video!
Well ... at least you had fun doing it.

Sometimes it's just about finishing the song mate! Sounds heavy. In the end I think it's a much better feeling having finished a piece than sitting on it forever.
It begins like Cannibal Corpse, then goes Necrophagist ;]
See you in 60 years for the album drop
I have a whole graveyard full of unfinished guitarpro songs. Guess its time to dig some up.
how about a colab with Ola Englund :)
Can someone please tell me how to do that upwards "harmonic-sou ding" string rake that everyone is doing these days.? I can kinda get it on fret 2, but I notice Pete is pulling it off on occasion with his fretting hand higher up the neck than that. Does it come from the picking hand, like a pinch harmonic.? Any help would be appreciated. It's such a tiny quick little technique, but Ive just loved it ever since I first heard it and would love to incorporate it into my own writing.
@peteplaysmusic

I do it mostly around the 5th fret but it can be done almost anywhere on the fretboard. Think of it as a ‘muted harmonic’ it’s similar to a natural harmonic except you mute the strings with your fretting hand. With your fretting hand, play a natural harmonic with your pinky and rest your other 3 fingers on the string at the same time to mute it. It’s important not to press too hard. With your picking hand just drag the pick through the strings as normal. Hope that makes sense? :)
Beginning riff gives me Invisible kid by Metallica vibes
We never finish a song, we abandon it because we can't make it better. That's a wonderful composition, I think every musician has a project or a song they constantly come back to. I myself have one particular song which holds me for more than ten years, even after I recorded it twice.
It sounds like Vitalism "Pagan" But may be I'm wrong It sounds awesome anyway
You've just wrote Fit For an Autopsy song😄
Tuning ?
It reminds of gothic church music. IMO Got that estetic.

I think you should definitely have more views than you're getting
Being in music for a long time I've seen artists say this took so many years to finish. It's such a bullshit way to mark progress on a riff idea into a song. It's basically a way to say since it took so long it'll be this great and wonderful work of art and quite often the opposite is true. So if you had to clock in and out on the amount of time it actually took to "write" the song what are we looking at? A couple weeks worth of actual hours it took to make? Good tune, not knocking it at all, my only critique would be the drums are boring and the song would be better served by hiring an actual online drummer rather than programming them. So many great drummers for hire online and will cut a track In a day or two and usually give you 3 passes to choose from and I've paid anywhere from 100 dollars per song to 500 dollars per song so it's not expensive to do at all and the results are so much better than programmed drums. A drummer could've taken all those riffs to the next level and made the song come out of that "KZread guitarist programs boring drums behind A killer riff niche" that plagues most YT guitarists. ESPECIALLY in metal, drums make the song. You can have a great riff all day long but if the drums are shit the riffs suffer and for me that's what's going on here. It'd be interesting to hear this redone with a real drummer, no triggers, a real drummer, real drums played and recorded with mics to see how much better this song could be. It deserves real drums. 🤘😎🤘
A7X could have released this and nobody would have thought it out of the ordinary. Very cool project!

Guitars could've used a lot more high end and presence, since they sound so muffled. And the drums sound distant and disconnected from the guitars. Otherwise a nice tune.
The drums sound super unrealistic. Quantized to 100%. Sounds like a bunch of riffs not connected very well.
