Oh, No! What is this?! My light has gone out! 🕯️ But don’t worry, I know how to make your life brighter and more comfortable with the help of my own hands! 🙌
To do this, we only need two tin cans and one aluminum can. 🥫🥫🥫 Let's get started! First, measure four holes and drill them into the cans to install the hinges. 🔩🔩 Then we connect the loops and tin cans together, creating an amazing design. 🔄
Now comes the fun part! 🤩 Take an aluminum can and cut off the bottom. 🗑️ Then we take a regular rope and cut off a small piece that will be our wick. 🧶 To ensure that the wick burns for a long time and does not form soot, we soak it in salt water. 🌊
While the wick is drying, let's prepare a limiter for it. We take the metal dowel and open it. 🔧 Then we drill a hole in the lid of the glass jar to install our wick with a limiter. 🕯️
And here is our final touch! Add regular oil to the jar, place the wick and light our candle! 🌟
Voila! We now have a stunning candle in a jar that creates a cozy atmosphere and fills your home with warmth and light. 🔥✨

I am from Poland, from Warsaw. I made a heater and a lamp from two ceramic flower pots and two ceramic stands that hold a threaded rod of approximately 2 cm in cross-section. One smaller pot and a larger one a little higher above it to catch more heat. I placed large 8-hour warmers on the plate. On the upper pot, you can heat coffee in a mug and keep it warm for a long time. With two heaters it was 60-70 degrees C. This is my success and I love such challenges and I am 70 years old. The disadvantage is that you can feel the smell of candles in the apartment, so maybe scented ones are better, but they don't burn for so many hours. Your can is light and my design is heavy but nice.

Forget it. The thick oil will not climb up the wick. The only method that works with kitchen oil is to put this wick (jute spring is very good) on a floater (cork wrapped in aluminum foil or heat resistant tape with a hole in the middle holding the wick) and let it float on the surface of the oil. I tried all the YT nonsense and it's the only way that works.

Looks fun, I will try it. I will do a couple mods though. I will fasten a little bucket style swing handle to it. Another mode is placing a latch to secure the two cans shut. This way a person can carry the thing around the house or campsite, maybe a punk torch in the rain, if need be. What I really like is the advise on treating the wick with salt water. Thank you.👍

I made a simple version a long time ago with just a glass jar, copper tubing, a lamp wick and lamp oil. Burns slow and steady. Is relatively windproof. And cheap.

Me sirvió mucho aprender algo nuevo para mi, como es colocar el cordón que actúa como mecha, en agua y sal. Porque he probado hacer alguna vez algo similar, pero al ver salir hollin que iba hacia arriba y ensuciaba el techo. No quise volver a probar. Ahora lo intentaré de nuevo, siguiendo el método de usar agua y sal, para que no forme carbón.

Are you sure you want to use those plastic lined cans for this? That plastic could give off toxic fumes if they catch fire. Also, what is the point of covering the candle? You're preventing the light from lighting up anything.
