It’s like 17 degrees here in Sweden and the Swedes are already complaining like hell about how ”hot” it is… though I am only half Swedish and half Tunisian (the second hottest country with a record of 55°) so I might be biased. When I arrived in Tunisia this past November I genuinely made it into a game to count every person wearing shorts and everyone not wearing a jacket. Only people who we found were tourists. It was 28°…

As an English man, I am also surprised that they used sprinkles. I have literally never seen an iced bun with sprinkles in it. I have seen hundreds of iced buns. I have eaten tens of them. None have ever had sprinkles. And in case you're wondering, yes, an iced bun is literally just a hot-dog bun with icing on it, and is a very common "cake" here in the UK.

I got a friend who was born in the US when her family went there on vacation. Her mom’s water broke in Disney World Magic Kingdom and she was born in Orlando. She’s lived her whole life in Paraguay and barely speaks English, but she’s legally a US American citizen and plans to emigrate there after finishing high school. Going to the US and staying there during the last few months of your pregnancy is fairly common between rich people here, it’s either that or becoming an Italian/Spanish citizen (most rich people have recent European ancestry). Not to emigrate, just to flaunt your passport. My friend’s family did genuinely just go to Florida for a vacation, she was born premature and thanks to the Disney Magic (the 7 dwarfs mine train) she gets to flaunt her US passport whenever she travels with someone else.

I saw multiple people outside in shorts today. It is indeed getting a bit too warm in Finland. No but seriously it's comedic watching people in shorts while there are other people who are still skiing.

Nationalism is about a people's aspiration to establish a state of their own, based on language, culture and claim to a territory. Once that state has been established, the term nationalism is often appropriated by people who usually haven't achieved much of their own, but want to feel good about themselves by identifying with their nation, wich they imagine makes them better than everyone else. It is actually two quite different things, but they are both called nationalism.
