Arteta is not a madman to renew his contract last summer. Aaron is 4 years younger than Raya. I see a loan or if its a permanent move i see a buy back clause included.

Ramsdale has been a great servant. Loved his antics against rivals. But just like Leno and Martinez were left out to evolve the team I don’t mind it. Of course letting Ramsdale would be a shame but he should go to club which suits him just like Leno went to Fulham and has been playing exceptionally. Thank You Ramsdale ❤❤❤❤❤

Here's the dirty truth, we're going to be selling and buying a backup goalkeeper every summer now. They're either too good to be a backup, or they'll displace the incumbent and we sell the keeper that lost his job. The third option is that the keeper has to develop for another year before we can sell him to a side that needs an up-and-comer.

@@martytu20 We can buy an overlooked talented GK out there like City's Stefan Ortega. Ortega played for a relegated Bundesliga team before came to City and he has been a good backup for Ederson. Zero pressure yet very talented.

He is my idol, what ever team he will join I will watch his games. I want him at Ac Milan.

He was smiling because his no 2 was turner. But with raya as his competitor, his smile was gone

Leno NEVER made the type of mistakes Ramsdale made. Leno has gone on to be a starting goalie at another PL level club. Ramsdale will live.

Leno became a starting GK for a side that doesn't mind his bad distribution and appreciate his shot stopping reflexes. It just so happen that Leno preferred to stay in London, we had a gentleman's agreement to let him leave, and the only London side that can afford his wages and needed a GK is Fulham.

I'm not sure about that tbh... Leno was a good shot stopper but consistently parried the ball in dangerous situations & was a bit wreckless, had more than a few shockers aswell (I rated Emi Martinez as number 1 when he came in tbf)... Aaron took over from him for a reason - I don't see Ramsdale going back to a lower level mid-table club with maybe Man United being the only exception 😉

What fans don’t understand is that there are certain players that get us into the top four and other players that can push to win titles. Ramsdale got us into the top four and Raya appears to get us closer to trophies. Ramsdale deserves more playing time elsewhere to get into the England team.

There’s no way I see Raya saving that long distance shot from Toney.

Frustrating but like we say his got to fight 4 his place ramsdale is a top top keeper and still want him to stay you could get potentially 70 mill

people arent worried because of his ability, theyre worried because the club has treated him poorly most likely leading to lower confidence and then to be stuck back in the squad in an important game after not getting play time in months. its a recipe for him making mistakes and confidence dropping even more

So Ramsdale goes in summer who comes in to deputise for Raya because this American kid schulte isn't the answer for me already had americas number 1 keeper that couldn't cut the mustard as a second keeper. I love ramsdale saved our arses last season can see the advantage of raya on the ball which is what mikel wants but ramsdale is stil a class keeper, people just jump on what the media say knowing nothing about goal keeping.

The only reason I'm worried about Ramsdale playing is because he's not match-sharp. I'm still in the camp of "Raya isn't that much better than Ramsdale", although I realise that Raya is on balance the better player and if the club has decided to sign Raya then they're right to be starting him. I fully expect him to have a good career post leaving Arsenal. He's definitely a PL standard player. It's exciting to be in a place where we can watch players leave on reasonably good terms and expect them to have good careers, as there was a long period of time where every Arsenal player that left just disappeared into obscurity.

I don’t believe Raya has even been tested in goal. Our defence has been so good he’s barely had to stop a shot. Now I’m not sure what happened against Brentford but Ramsdale had to make 3-4 vital stops would Raya have made those saves? No one knows but I’d like to see Raya make those saves

Because if you loan someone from another team, you’re not allowed to play against that team because raya is still considered a brentford player

Ramsdale is done at Arsenal. That goal conceded was worth more than just a goal. It could have crushed our title chances and confidence leading into the Porto game. That means that silly goal conceded could have potentially ruined both campaigns. We've seen him make the same mistakes over and over. His inability for quick releases, his poor aerial punches to clear crosses and corners and his poor focus levels. Arteta knew all about this so he bought Raya who keeps players and fans a lot calmer. Our manager is ruthless and we also need to adopt the same attitude if we want to win major trophies. No room for sentiment, no room for players that can't pull their own weight. I want Ramsdale gone in the summer! He's a liability waiting to happen every time he plays
