Great analysis! I agree that when some were calling for Arteta to be replaced, they weren't looking at the matter clearly. There was no one better on the market who was going to come to Arsenal. More importantly, he's shown real talent as a young manager, and more than earned to allowance of time to prove his ideas. In the NFL, the Steelers have had 3 managers since the mid 1960's - Three! They have remained one of the winningest teams by picking good managers and then giving them the time to be successful.

I feel like Emery's case was situational. Took a crumbling, collapsing, all-time low Arsenal, fans mad all the time, but somehow still managed to bring them to that UEL final, which they lost sadly. Had he received the backings and able to get players without Sanllehi's shit decision (bought Pepe for us, instead of Zaha, which Emery prefers), probably will stay at Arsenal longer. But that was all in the past and now Arteta has proven he's the best fit for Arsenal and Emery is enjoying his extremely good spell with Villa. I enjoyed both outcomes honestly.

Great analysis my dude. When you said that he has brought us hope, I really felt. I remember in the final days of Emery I had grown indifferent to the team. To such an extent that even my rival mates started sympathising with my situation. They said you either love your club or angry at your club, but when you completely stop feeling anything it’s even worse. Not anymore. Super Mik has shown is the way. Here’s to many more good seasons COYG

Where are the "Arteta out" experts? The same ones complaining about Ramsdale, Tierney, silent now. Pick a side and stick with it. MA knows better than to allow sentiment to decide who plays.

I will add one think when arteta was second coach of man city he was not celebrating when man city scores goal on arsenal. Becouse he was 100% Gunner in his heart. That is why i admire him so much. Wether we win PL or not I always love him what he done to our club. Thanks to him.❤

Arsenal were always known for being a team that plays beautiful but soft football. Now we are known for playing systematic and ruthless football. We have upgraded from a top club to an elite club.

Outside of football, I think he’s also an inspiring figure, his morals, his principles, the way he conducts himself, can also be translated to everyday life I feel. Obviously take it with a pinch of salt but there’s definitely something there to learn from. Even my mum loved him when we watched the Arsenal documentary , and she knows nothing about football 😂

I think Arsene Wenger was simply used to seeing great players scoring goals on training ground, so much so that it wasn't a surprise to him. Also, think you are nitpicking and being petty now that Arteta project is working.

You know that Emery also didn’t bought him. The board did. I respect Emery and love what he is doing at Villa but please stop glazing him. He was here at the wrong time. His tactics didn’t work out and the board decided to part ways. Respect what Arteta is doing.

I'm sorry but our fans are funny. When Emery needed the support in 2019, what exactly were you guys doing? You think bigging up ex-players and managers AFTER the damage is done makes you a real fan or something?

Its the style of communication. Unai emery was a very tactical coach and not a fraternal figure to Arsenal Mikel Arteta is now. Its when you go through struggle that the style of communication is more important than the tactics. Im a Liverpool fan and I can tell that what happened to Arsenal is similar to our current situation. It is the reason why I want Amorim to Liverpool more than Xabi Alonso. It will be terrible if Amorim went to a London club like Chelsea.

Unai Emery is a great coach and a classy human being... in fact he is still well respected amongst majority of Arsenal fans for his conduct whilst at Arsenal...but he is just not a coach for the Arsenal. Arteta will not be able to do what Emery did at Sevilla and at Villa..but similarly, Emery would not be able to get the same out of Arsenal like Arteta would. Clubs like Arsenal need to dominate the ball otherwise the coach won't last long. Not every coach is able to coach this style of play.

You are right. For Emery and his players it was like another day at office. I love his tactics but they just didn’t work out. Arteta knew what to do from the start. He knew that old players will not play the badge. Arteta is like Optimus Prime. When he gives a speech I think I am playing for him and would play my heart out. He knows when to be harsh and when to be lovely. He knows how to make young players more hungry and convince them to play for Arsenal. I hope that either Alonso comes to Liverpool as he knows how to take best out of his players too. Or Liverpool bring in Nagelsman who is also direct in his tactics just like Klopp. I think Arteta vs Alonso/Nagelsman would be interesting as all of them are young.
