He's a deranged... I just put up with this because someone is playing Krenko.

Feels bad when you have to ramp to make up for missed land drops.

Ha, I wish I got to play Kalamax games where every form of removal that hits the table doesn't target him 😂.

I like Shane's deck but I wish he organized his board a bit more, was pretty messy by the end and hard to tell exactly what he had.

That's usually how Sidisi / similar grave reanimation decks go 😅 especially when there isn't as much board control.

I love Shirnes and always enjoy watching games with someone playing Go-Shintai.

I have never seen a kalymax live that long and not win the game

Shane's turn two, I was thinking he should have played the Sylvan instead of the 2 drop ramp spell. I mean you'll miss that land drop but you're holding two 2 drop ramp spells. You'll ramp back up turn three and four. I always keep both on at least the first Sylvan trigger especially that early. I mean he could have 4 extra cards in hand on turn 4.

Honestly I don't know who I liked more. Go-Shintai or Kalamax. Both seem fun and right up my alley

Hi, you missplayed Sylvan Library you draw your normal card always before the Library effect and would have to put that card back or pay 4 if you can't dredge 3 times. Sylvan Library rulings: 2016-06-08: You always perform your normal draw before this ability. The normal draw occurs before anything can be placed on the stack during a player's draw step. 2016-06-08: If you choose to draw two cards, then replace one or more of those draws with some other effect, the rest of Sylvan Library's ability still happens. If you've actually drawn only one card that turn, you must choose that card and either pay 4 life or put it on top of your library. If you haven't actually drawn any cards that turn, the rest of the ability has no effect.

The turn where kris casted sakura tribe elder and swung kalamax at Andrew for 6 you never took the dmg your life stayed at 35.

Craterhoof ending is way better than thoracle

I swear Krenko players never seem to understand how strong he is. Clearly they've never lost to effects like his, or scute swarm. That said, holy frick frackety the price tags on most of these decks.

As someone who made Shrines as their first commander, I was rooting for Eric to lose because he put his lands up top lol

It's usually for ramp or snow synergies but some people just have too many snow basics.

You just have the option of replacing every single draw with a dredge, assuming you have a dredge card in the graveyard and enough cards in the library to mill in the first place. This is true for every instance of drawing multiple cards at once.

@@nikos731 Because Dredge isn't Draw (which is what Sylvan Library cares about) it would go like this: Sylvan Library asks: How many cards are you drawing this turn, 1 to 3? You say three Sylvan Library Draw -> Dredge Sylvan Library Draw -> Dredge Sylvan Library Draw -> Dredge You would put back 0 cards, because you didn't draw any cards, they were added to your hand this turn by Dredge. If you did Dredge, Dredge, Draw, you would have to put back the one card you drew, not two or three, or pay 4 life. If you instead Dredge, Draw, Draw, you would put two cards or lose 8 life.

@@nikos731 For Sylvan if you replace all 3 draws (like with Abundance) then it costs 0 life. If you replace 1 or 2 draws then the rule is in full effect: you lose 8 unless you put 2 cards DRAWN back on top or 4 if you put 1.

@@nikos731 Because Sylvan Library especifically says "cards in your hand drawn this turn", you'll only have to pay life (or put the card back on top) for the draws that you didn't replace. For example, if you have Underrealm Lich and Sylvan Library, You'll replace every draw, keep all the cards you put in your hand and not pay any life. That, of course, assuming the replacement effect isn't drawing more cards. If you have Teferi's Ageless Insight and Sylvan Library, for example, you'll draw five cards, then pay life for four of them or put them back.

Andrew I like your deck, but you need to cast krenko to win. I often see you playing this deck and waiting 4-5 turns after you have the mana for krenko before casting it. As soon as you have 4 mana you should cast it, as krenko goes off way better than casting goblins out of your hand

I typically like to have a haste enabler out when playing Krenko. I've cast him early in the past and he's just eaten a ton of removal pushing him further and further out of casting range.

Can we stop with the lands up front?

I'll never understand the hate against playing lands up front. It's like being upset at someone because they turn their cards to the left when tapping lol

What was up with the sloppy board state this game? Lands up in front and graveyards off the playmat/half off screen opposite the player’s library. Oof

I actually really hate boring finishers like craterhoof, triumph of the hordes, and Thoracle/Labman. It's so unbelievably anticlimactic. Also. Goddammit, Eric, you put lands BEHIND the cards because that's how it goes: Creatures are front, Artifacts and enchantments are to the sides or a side. Mana resource is in back. Creature tokens go in front of the creatures themselves because it's like assembling an army and the pawns always go effing first and are always more expendable than your normal creatures. It's more like a battle formation then! You have a FORMATION! Pawns go first, creatures protect, and to the sides are your supports! And then behind are your resources! The spells you sling are ARTILLERY, AIR STRIKES, and SUPPORT BEACONS! Looking at a boardstate like that evokes a sense of discordancy within my being that I never knew I would feel in my life. _Goddamn._

Banish Eric and his lands on top. Go-Shintai boards are cluttered enough as is..
