Oh my god yes lmao I filmed the video and realized afterwards but you know me... I leave my mistakes cause I'm human and don't deny that I screw up lol. I wondered how long it would take before it got called out hahaha 😜 I shoulda just voice overed it. I honestly considered it. There's a spot when I'm talking about the one piece outfit Career Barbie has too. I said it's stiff most likely from the product to hold on the glue 😅🤣 I meant glitter. Once again... I shoulda changed it buuuuut nope lol. I'm Jen lmao I'm flawed and I own it. Thanks for loving me anyhow 💖😁 Definitely came back to add : wouldn't it be hilarious to see someone dressed to the nines like Barbie carrying a suitcase though 🤣🤣🤣

The 80s were my childhood Barbie era, and I don’t have my old dolls, so I love this series. I think the Night Out is my favourite. I’m also from Canada and ended up having to order my blonde doll from Mattel as well, but she was on sale when I did. I am amazed at how cheap these were on sale in the US. I hope that clearance doesn’t mean this line was a flop because I want other eras like the 90s.

4:38 80s EDITION huh!? Wonder if they are gonna do more editions.... Like the 60s or the 90s! That would be so freaking cool!! 5:28 LAUNCHES with.... I think my suspicions are correct (no matter how obvious 😂)

Now I am going to be randomly saying 'peplum' for the next few weeks! What a fun word (and video ;)!

Hahaha I love words with a good mouth and auditory feel. I like so many and I truly sometimes just through them into my day because I wanna hear them and say them. Peplum is fun, serendipitous is another fave. I have soooooo many others do you have any faves?

I bought the workout doll and I loved it, it's nice to see the other two dolls in the collection up close. I did have an issue with the jibbers that attached her to the packaging being embedded into her head, which I noticed yours didn't have.

Oh no. I hope she turned out ok😞 I had some attaching her to the plastic, I used the cuticle cutters to free her.

SO IN LOVE with these Barbies ! Grew up in the 80's and also had my first Barbie "experience" in the 80's - when she was really PINK and STUNNING 😉. We all know there has been a BIG issue with quality starting around 2004/2005 which is not pleasing collectors, amongst others. I speak as a collector when i say that Barbie has lost her magic ... This collection reminds us of those glory days and the doll we all miss. Who doesn't like this collection ? Wish they made more... Thank you for the video ( doesn't matter if you are behind, i wanted to watch YOUR unboxing ) 👍.

Superstar face mould and bend & snap knees make me so happy, haha. I always miss the bend & snap knees in new non-articulated dolls, the hard legs just seem cheap. I might die if they bring out the 80s doctor Barbie that came with a sparkly white top, she was my favourite!

Omgggg I looooooved my Barbies with the pink tinge in the eyes! I thought she was so beautiful! This video brought back MEMORIES of my late 80's/early 90's Barbies!

The 80s looked so colorful

The team behind their packaging did a good job. I spotted the VHS reference as soon as you held up the boxes.

I was born in 81 so I grew up in the 80s and 90s. The 80s was the best decade in everything except fashion. Funny enough I always hated the 70s fashion (and told my mom so all the time) but I've learned to like it.

Honestly I loved this! And a couple things I wanted to point out: so the Barbie logo on the packages is actually the official Barbie logo that they had on their products in the 80's. I thought it was a nice little "easter egg" for Barbie fans. I think the Working Woman barbie is actually my favorite doll and I'm 100% biased as to why I love her so much. Not only do I love that put-together business look, but she has some similarities to the Working Woman Barbie doll of the 90's (though the one of the 90's offers so much more, can't lie). When I started my other KZread channel, a variety channel, you actually inspired me to want to do some toy reviews on it and the Working Woman Barbie doll of the 90's was actually my very first toy review. I still have the doll, she's my co-host now on my channel and oddly enough I joke with people that while my co-host and I are friendly with each other, our relationship is strictly professional and so I call her Barbara or Ms. Roberts lol

Love these dolls - I have the workout one and the pop star. The Steffie face is my favorite too, so I had to have her! I hope they continue this series with other decades, but the fact that I've seen them go on sale for $10 makes me worry that they haven't sold very well.

These are great dolls! I wish they (Mattel) would have used the 80s body for these dolls, but otherwise the dolls and packaging is really FANTASTIC! I plan to buy them and keep them in their packages since they look wonderful for display. Thanks so much for this review.

The Rewind collection is so nicely thought and a great homage to the great 80's Era. I am an 80's child so I grew up with Glamourous Barbie where she never looked the same, eyes, hair, makeup, outfits were simply fantastic and she had a magic spark about her. The difference between these face moulds and the current clone simply reminds me of how the standards dropped a bit face wise the current Barbie looks bland and I really don't like her eye paint at all, I love how far Mattel evolved to the MTM body which I am a big fan off and the wide range of diversity we get, but I would take an 80's/ 90's Barbie head which I have done over the current Barbie and put her on a MTM body, I understand that children nowadays don't play with dolls how we used to and grow up far quicker. But for us collectors we sure need the quality they are providing here. Gorgeous dolls! Hope to add them to my collection one day! Thanks for the great video Jen. P.s. I would for sure get two of each for display and to photograph but the first thing I would do after unboxing would be MTM bodies for sure! :-)

Love these dolls. I just washed and boiled washed the hair and the curls went back in shape

Thanks for another great review. These dolls are so well done that it is hard for me to choose a favorite. I have a lot of the 80's dolls including Barbie and the Rockers and Great Shapes Barbie that would look great with these displayed together. I have to work on that after seeing your review.

I adore the packaging, I wish they had Made To Move bodies, the workout doll is my favourite, my mum used to play the Jane Fonda workout videos all the time 😁

I'm surprised they didn't use an old fashioned type body.

my grandma has a lot of barbies. my grandpa and aunt would buy her one each time i new one was released. she's even got the first pregnant barbie and several of the countries around the world. she had her entire top shelf in her room and then the entire closet in the spare room full of them. i don't know when she stopped getting them, or if she still gets them, but she'd let us take them out of their boxes to look at closer, especially the pregnant one, but never let us play with them because she didn't want them messed up. this rewind series makes me think of her so much and i haven't seen her in 11 years.

oh it wasn't just the closet, i forgot the spare room also had a LOT of shelves and they were packed like books on them. and she also had a few special barbies, i think there's an elvis one and maybe a marilyn monroe....i could be wrong since i haven't seen the dolls in 18 years.....and fun fact, my grandma actually shares the same name as marilyn monroe's name.....norma jean.

Honestly, I adore the body they used for this doll. She's still on the thinner side, but she has shape and bulk to her arms and a super realistic waist! Just makes me happy haha

I think the last Barbie you reviewed, keytar lady, was my favourite. But it's hard to say, because I really like the work-out Barbie, too. I've always prefered darker skinned and tan dolls, for some reason.

I always liked dolls with brown hair because at the time it was the closest to my auburn hair. They tended to be a little darker in tone and I am very light, but I loved that they were different and a little closer to how I looked in a sea of blonde/blue eyed dolls. Thankfully there are lots of options for kids nowadays 🥰

i don't know how it is over in canada but the rewind collection all go on sale SO often down to half price so if they maybe do more in the line that might be something to consider ! this is such a good collection like I'm very happy with how they all came out ,I'm just very scared to clean them up & fix up their hair because especially for night out steffie

I'll definitely keep my eye out for sales though because id be happy to get another that stays in the box to save to give my daughter one day. I'm nervous to tackle Night out Barbie's hair too 😅

Honestly, as someone with flat feet, I feel represented by the weird bend in their foot 😂 They stand just like me!

I love the 80s asthetic, perhaps its because i was born in 88, lol. Also freaky thing happened, while watching this doll unboxing, a custom doll i ordered finally came today after 3 months and a return trip to europe. Win win.

I have the black aerobic girl and the singer, soon I will get the career girl too, but I needed to order her from Mattel's website since she was the hardest to find as u said. In my country a toy store had the other two but not the blonde, and on ebay she's going for too much. ☹ And I was thinking exactely like you that since she's the standard blonde she would have been the easiest to find. Btw I really love them and I dun care if the aerobic one doesn't have the mtm body cuz in my opinion the joints are quite horrible looking. I would have preferred the twist snd turn waist and if the pantyhose were a separate piece. For the pop singer I gave her a slight brush to fix a bit her messed hair when she was out of the box. I have deboxed all mines and put them in my collector cabin on their stands, keeping aside their boxes cuz they are so cool. I grew up in the 80's so I lived this decade and played with it's barbies who are absolutely my favourites and a part of my happy childhood. 💖 I even like early and mid 90's barbies who ofc have the same body as the 80's ones, so I almost collect this two kinds of barbies. P.S. what's the name of the music on ur video? It's sooo 80's!!! 💖

I'm almost 40, so I had plenty of 80s Barbies. They def had different face shapes and bodies than these. But these are cute. I miss my old barbies

I’m 49. The bodies are different, but, to my knowledge, the head molds are the same: Superstar, P.J., and Shani. I live in Canada and only saw Shani in the Sears catalogue, but Superstar was everywhere, and I had one P.J. There is some difference in appearance, but I think it is the process by which they apply the eyes and makeup.

Hey there. I honestly try not to pre-plan what I'm wanting to look at because sadly I get my hopes up a lot and either can't get my hands on one or by the time I do... Too much time has passed and I have to keep up with other things on the shelves. This happens a lot sadly. I love that barbie is representing so many different people and lifestyles and abilities, so I am cautiously optimistic about maybe getting one, lol let's say that.

Hi there! You know, I you still love him about cheese when I was younger and tried to start collecting them again a couple of years ago. Funny enough I actually forgot that I was trying to lol. I do have one of the new releases of the original Tamagotchi but that's all plus my old one. Honestly LOL my collection failed before you even got started.
