In this case Lewis actually had to kill him. He was a glitch and couldn't buy items. The other traitors knew there was a glitch, and failing to grow the traitor team would've been super sus. That's why Lewis not only had to silence Ben, but also had to act like Ben had died of "mysterious causes" afterwards.

@@greenredblue Yea normally I do judge Lewis for killing the beggar, but this was an exception. Even if we ignore what you said, it still would be best to kill the beggar. Ben would have found another traitor and expanded the traitor team. Possibly outing the fact that Lewis was a glitch.

I’m sure someone said it already, but that “violent football” they were describing is exactly how hockey works. If someone gets pulled out of the game, after the penalty is over there is still 5 on 5

With regards to the lost stuff, there was an arg thing that resulted in you getting a chocolate bar from the series, it involved a whole conveluted lot of nonsense to solve, needless to say most people cheated but part of it did involve something where they already spoiled the entire plot for lost within that and about the stuff that happened in the series finale, so that's probably where the redditors got all their information from. In the end you had to say a secret word to an employee in a comic book store to be given a chocolate bar.

"How do I scope with the no scope?" I think goes up there with "Its a 1 shot if it hits you twice" 😆

With regards to Lost, people thought the Island was Purgatory. The creators said it wasn't and then it turned out the creators were telling...the truth. But because a sort of Purgatory is used people got confused and ended up getting angry

People just don't understand the ending even though it's all laid out very explicitly for everyone to understand. If anyone thinks they were dead the whole time or that the Island is purgatory then they're just an idiot.

Sometimes it feels like people are mashing together the endings of the main plot and the final season's (admittedly pointless) subplot and Mandela themselves into thinking the show actually ended with that. The real ending is the reversal of the first episode's opening.

@@sdcSpade The flashsideways aren’t pointless, they wrap up all the character arcs in a really interesting and satisfying way. If you only cared about the main plot and Island stuff then fair enough, but the sideways exist to give closure to the characters and their arcs which is what the show was all about. I do agree that people probably confuse the two in their heads though.

@@lucasdolding6924 There are nice moments for sure, Benjamin being my favorite, but there's also nonsense like Sayid's "closure" of being with the blondie he knew for a week or two and not the woman he has dedicated most of his life to. But the main reason I don't like the subplot is the fact that they built up these mysteries that were all red herrings, starting with the very first episode of the final season showing the island underwater, as if the previous season's finale actually altered the timeline. I found the entire series very satisfying, I don't need answers to every single question, but the flash sideways stuff was just full of deception.

I really don't understand where people get "they were dead the whole time" thing from. The show is pretty clear what was going on at the end and that isn't it, it's just the middle that doesn't make sense with the reveals at the end.

@@stone5against1 Yeah. I feel like it would incentivize people trying to nab items as a trail rather than items as a pile, which could 1) Distribute the loot amongst more players. That's chaos in itself 2) Give the Loot Goblin a better chance of survival

As an American who doesn't watch soccer.... I just learned what the extent of a red card meant. I too thought it was just an ejection and you just pulled someone off the bench and this new information is absolutely wild to me.

The Dinosaur noise of Disbelief at 13:03 is amazing.

Looks like Lolip's brain was still booting up during the first 2 rounds but she made up for it fast. Also 11:11 if you want to see a sexy pikachu dance. Bleaching your eyes afterwards is recommended.

What I find strange about Beggar is that it was supposed to be changed so that if you killed a beggar, they joined the opposite team as you. I remember them talking about it being an incoming change last year. I wonder if they changed their minds about it though.

I think everyone has forgotten at this point that the beggar was introduced to shake up the meta of the jester asking for traitor items with which to disrupt, troll or even kill everyone. You should be real nervous about just opening up on a beggar. Perhaps the pool of pink roles has been diluted to the point that it doesn't matter anymore.

In fairness, from what I've seen through media Kyle Walker is what you typically imagine when you think of a footballer, not much personality and kinda dumb. That said there are a lot of football players in the world with a whole range of personalities and levels of intelligence

In most American sports players do just get replaced when they’re ejected. It’s one of many reasons that despite advances in protective gear football has so many more injuries than rugby. Also why pitchers in baseball are willing to peg a player they don’t like

Ben's wife's idea of Soccer / Futbol is just Hockey. If Ben wants to see that version of the game, he should watch Ice Hockey. Especially NA Ice Hockey. Most games are fairly fine. A little rough but nothing too bad. But there is about a 1% chance of some crazy shit. I have been to a game where there were at-least 2, if not 3, literal bench clearing brawls. I have seen a 1v1 fight where they beat the shit out of each other for about 5 minutes and then when the Refs finally broke it up, one of the guys shrugged the Ref off and headbut the other guy in the face. (This fight was like the second most minutes of penalty levied, when misconducts were converted, for a while too. Something like 6 hours from just these 2 fighters).

4:30 Isn't that ALREADY a strategy in many sports? Doing a strong play even if it might be considered too violent and get you benched, that is. Hell, it's a category of player in Hockey - the "Enforcer". If the penalty for that is lessened, then it just becomes and even stronger strategy...

This was such a great episode. I haven't laughed like this in a few months.

I can see the thing about not playing a player down, it would be more of a punishment for the red carded guy too right, now watch someone else play in your position because you did a bad, but I can also see why they let the whole team down by forcing them to be a player down too, I wonder what would work best to guilt people out of red carding. I remember this map from the "Voice Of An Angel" episode where Zylus sang for everyone and then they guided him, the traitor, towards innocent Rythian. Rythian won.

I had no idea that’s how red cards worked. I don’t think it works like that in any American sport. They always get the same amount of people.
