Since there's not much audio-visual feedback (like face cams) that audio could've happened at any point in the video and been moved to create that 'perfect timing' effect. We've already been told that the audio is moved around because otherwise it's incomprehensible, though obviously rarely to such a measure - so it likely was just good timing with some minor editing aid.

I'm convinced that Osie can make her own version of Peculiar Portions, but just with her own weird and embarrassing stories. No need for news.

The taxidermist would be a great counter to the mad scientist. Maybe make a randomat that makes one person a taxidermist and one person a mad scientist, and the taxidermist has to taxidermy the dead before the mad scientist can turn them into zombies?

Taxidermist can defo be a jester esque role. You'd be baiting traitors by denying them corpses and baiting innocents by making them think you're a traitor reviving somebody.

Ooo, here's a roll idea: The Dingus. Like a Loot Goblin, they have a few seconds after the start of the round to hide, but when they're revealed their player model is changed to a Dingus, they meow periodically, and when killed they explode into a dozen Dinguses for everyone to pick up.

The way I see physical media, is that having a copy of a game/film/media type means you have that forever at all times, whereas if everything goes digital, the company you purchased said media from, could have the rights removed, or end up going under, therefore resulting in you losing your purchase. Also downloads can be corrupted/lost a lot easier than a physical copy.

New Duncan T-Shirt should just be a picture of his face with "DUNCAN: Exactly As Advertised" on it

With Solid State memory tech, cartridges could definitely make a comeback and have already started with the switch and DS carts being rather successful examples.

you guys remember back in the late 360/PS3 era where we had the worst of both worlds? Yes you could download and install a lot more games but Buying discs was still more popular, but when you bought the disc it came with a second install disc, which would take like 20GB lmao. What a time.

Saw some more roles in that role list, Vampire, Trickster, Sapper interesting stuff

Vampire is an old one. One iteration has a short duration invis and the ability to drink blood from corpses. The other has an effect similar to communist where you freeze someone in place and drink their blood to turn them into a vampire. Both kinda sucked. Iteration 1's main problem was just that normal traitor was more fun than "traitor with weak powers and no menu". Iteration 2's main problem was that anyone you drank the blood from would shout "It's (your name)! He's a vampire! He's drinking my blood! Save me!" and ruin it for both of you.

There should be a traitor weapon which is visually identical to Dingus, except that after a certain amount of time being equipped by a non-traitor it explodes. Now, this could simply be avoided by not picking up any Dingus' dropped by others... but you know, YOU KNOW, that none of them would be able to resist taking the risk for having a Dingus if they don't already.

I laughed so hard at den just dropping a shark trap right in front of them all.

The loot goblin should sometimes randomly be a dingus loot goblin that explodes out dingus loot instead of guns

The plane not chasing Ben or kirsty seemed like a big give away

Whoever has been making the thumbnails needs a raise

Despite the prediction that physical media will completely die out soon, there is a company that has found out how to put several terabits onto disks that cost less than 10£. The only problem with them is their special disk reader is expensive.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that Osie's stories becoming a staple of this series is the furthest thing from disappointing.

Depending on purpose disc, drives will 100% make a comeback. There's already experimental tech to fit 1tb on a disc and average like 3 to 5 bucks a disc. That's insane for a backup solution that would, in theory, long outlast spinning rust drives or ssds (we'll see, bluray seems to be holding up strong against disc rot, it stands to reason the replacement probably would as well). It's hard to beat a compact solid state secure storage solution for 5tb's or so that would run you maybe 25 bucks. The drive itself will cost a small fortune for a while, but the first optical drives were a fortune too (same goes for floppies and hard drives, all new tech costs a ton when new and gets cheaper with scale and evolution over time if it survives). I'd hate to see how secure the Yog's local backup solution is for archived footage if that wasn't the first thought that came to mind. Truly goes to show you just have to be lucky enough to get an audience big enough to afford people that actually know how to run everything rather than actually learning how to run everything.

Concerning putting videogams on vinyl. It's theoretically possible as data can very easily be converted to and from differant audio formats, all that would be needed is a device to read the physical audio from the disc and then convert that audio signal into readable data. With some help from google I've found the data capacity of a sterep LP to be about 400 Mb give or take. Vinyl is a very imperfect media wich means actually relying on it to read data reliably would be very optimistic.

I too have a disc drive in my PC. I have a windows XP VM that i use to play OLD games and its nice to have for that. Also sometimes its easier to grab the DVD/Blu-Ray from your collection than to rent the movie again for $3.99

That last round might be the best round of TTT I've ever seen

ps5 discs are 100gb so the games still completely fit on there, also disc games dont require less space than digital versions since they get fully installed on the ssd anyway

On physical media, I think it depends on what it is. I always buy the physical Nintendo Switch cartridges due to the lack of storage on the switch, and I prefer swapping the carts out.

To Osie - you mentioned (as you were telling that embarrassing GAME story) that physical games use less hard drive space. That is not actually true (and hasn't been true since the PS3/Xbox 360 era). All PS4/Xbox One/PS5/Xbox Series games copy all their data from the disc and nothing is read from the disc afer that (except the copy protection). So the downloaded copy will take up exactly the same hard drive space as a disc copy. Also, to Lewis, all console games come on blu-rays which fit at least 50 GB (on PS4/Xbox One) and 100 GB on PS5/Series X). So no, physical games don't come on 50 discs :P (Also, I buy most of my new AAA console games on disc from a physical store because there's a massive price difference. Shopping from PSN, games are like €90 each, but from a physical store they're closer to €60-70.)

At least on Xbox, you have to have the disk inserted to play a game, but there's still a 40gb update before you can play

When I was in 6th grade I ate refried beans for dinner for a whole week. That messed up my gastrointestinal stuff, and I was uncontrollably farting for a decent amount of my tween years - that's not me making stuff up, that is what my doctor told my mother. My teacher did not care, stated it was disruptive to class, and constantly punished me for my flatulence.

I'm assuming the taxidermist resses the character, but they won't take damage but if you attack their "doll" it'll damage them? Or perhaps they take damage from both themselves and their doll?

The issues with MW2 aren't because of "the better your pc is, the worse it runs" necessarily. If you download it to and external drive then aside from a couple graphical glitches, the crashing seems to stop. Note this only seems to work primarily for MW2 and not WZ2, that's a whole other can of worms which i don't think will be fixed until the next mainline game releases. I don't know who needs to hear this but if you've just got the game or had it for a while and been unable to play i hope this helps.

From my perspective in rural USA, physical discs will never fully die unless and until the entire country is wired with high speed internet, which is not going to happen for AT LEAST a decade or two. With modern game sizes, the difference between downloading a game from a disc vs. downloading over satellite internet is about 40 minutes vs. 40 HOURS.

disc drives will always be a thing just a small sort of nich community and prices for it will go up much like how people still go after lazer disc. Also while nvme is making progress and such there is still a limit on how far up it can go while the disc method can keep building.

I remember buying a physical copy of fallout 4 when it came out and looking inside the disk and it was literally just a steam installer, meaning there was no point in having a disk in the first place

You can't put games on vinyl though as cool as it would be. The thing about vinyl is that it's a plastic disk with small grooves cut into it so when you run the needle of a sonograph or player through it it rubs into the grooves mimicking the vibrations that cut the grooves in the first place. There's no information really stored on it other than audio and even that is limited.

I personally really like getting console games on a disk but part of that is also being scarred by consoles with 7kbs of storage and being unable to download the game I already paid for, even my ps4 is regularly full of data with everything being on disks so it's not completely unfounded, especially as games get larger and larger
