The voice that everyone heard in the town, and the one that the otherworlder heard are the voice of the world, it's the system that manages the destribution of skills and maintaning the balance, it's different than great sage which is one of Rimuru's skills, they just share the same voice.

Only Rimruh has a voice like system in his head to talk to, the one that evolved into Rapheal, and for it evolution, it voice became clearer too. Same va as words of the world, only cause it wanted or needed a voice to talk when the skill first became active for ep1

Just a small detail about 6:40 and 13:40 . The words of the world and great sage are two different entities. Words of the world is what people hear when acquiring skills and the such. The reason they sound the same is because Great sage needed a voice to communicate with Rimuru so used the first one he heard. So great sage is borrowing the voice of Words of the World

It’s super confusing when they talk back-to-back. It happens a few more times, but usually the full orange background or little orange sprite pops up to let you know it’s Raphael. If it looks like anyone else can hear it, it’s WotW.

Many will tell you, but there's a difference between "the words of the world" which is a general announcement that all can hear individually or as a group, "great sage" which is a unique skill rimuru obtained when he reincarnated. It works similarly to words of the world but is a unique assistant for rimuru only, and the ultimate skill, "raphael" which is the evolved form of great sage essentially it's great sage with aware consciousness. It is able to act independently to rimuru which is why it was able to process the reincarnation without rimuru being conscious during the time. Great sage's voice sounds like Raphael, but Raphael is a much softer, more human version.

"Can you imagine if Slime ate Rudeus?" I hate to break it to you but the power scaling in Tensura is at a whole other level Mushoku Tensei. 🤣 Rudeus would barely be a snack for our slimey boy 😉

@@AnimeDateNight Yeah, Rudy is strong as hell for his world. But he wouldnt be as strong in this world since the power scaling is different. It is a bit unfair to compare them though as I would say they are pretty equivalent (slime is probably still a bit ahead maybe?) in strength "relative" to their own worlds at the moment if that makes any sense 😊

Remember this one thing....Great Sage literally have to follow every Rimuru desires and ask a permission from him to acts action just in case...but after it evolved into Raphael,she develope her own consciousness...That way,She can acts more freely without any commands from Rimuru to take action for both of their safety.

​@@AnimeDateNighthm..something like that....Great Sage & Voice of the world are two different things....Some people say Great Sage borrowed voice of the world's voice plus great are created by voice of the world through Rimuru's desires (before become slime,Satoru Mikami did wish something like becoming a sage that literally causing the birth of great sage.)
