Moon in Sravana 5th house with rahu and Saturn for me so I have usually always been far away from home from the age of 17 for college far away until it eventually lead me to live overseas most of my 20s. It really blessed me with living far away from home and meeting people from so many cultures especially when it came to dating too (5th house activity) it was always people foreign from me because I never felt like I fitted into my culture or family. This helped me because it took me away from toxicity in my family which was my life lesson I guess because being like an outcast in my family I was able to focus on my life goals and education which was a way this nakshatra blessed me to move away from such emotional pain with distance. I still love travelling and I call us master manifestors because once we set our eyes on something we achieve it no matter how many people are there to distract and disturb us sadly sometimes even from family.

Spot on. My reflexes are abnormally quick, I have amazing spacial awareness, and I can sense where I need to be before I get there and shock people with the stuff I’ll pull in sports. Pretty much any sport that doesn’t involve too much running 🥲 there’s a weak spot there. Oh, and for a woman, my strength is a little odd too for a scrawny body. Just to bring myself down a notch here - I unfortunately quit sports in high school to start smoking, drinking, and drop out. Could’ve become an athlete but hey… it wasn’t in the cards. I’m more into being a nerd anyways. I am good with words and love to write I soak up information like a sponge and love to teach what I learn 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Ive got Moon in Shravana in 3 house and yeah I collect information, knowledge and keep it flowing I love to talk with firends,Im not very social but I cant be quiet when something bothers me I have to talk about it otherwise I would get crazy. my mother worked most of her list in library(Shravana thing?) before she got shizofrenia. She also loved to travel but I guess its because of 3 house not Shravana. And I took singing lessons from woman that can sing even beyond human ability to hear !!! - some animals can hear her lol. Shes pure love and her singing is incredible - Olga Szwajgier.

Your degrees are off for this nakshatra in tropical. It is 6 to 19’20 aquarius. All the way into 27 degrees is already dhanishta.

Thank you Vic DiCara for explaining Shravana nakshatra, I feel this nakshatra very close as my Asc and Ju are in Shravana :) I have a question about the sanskrit meaning you give for the word shravana. Shravana श्रवण means ear (n) from the verb shru श्रु hear and there is another different verb स्रू sru (pronounced with S not sh) which means flow and स्रवण sravana means flowing. In the video you said that shravana means also flowing but actually this is completely different word and verb - why did you make a connection with another verb/word while explaining the meaning of shravana. I know you've been dealing and reading Sanskrit for many years and I got interested why you associate the word Shravana with another word?

I'm so glad there are people like you who really know things! Thank you for the excellent inquiry. As far as I have learned, the root स्रु (sru) and the root श्रू (śru) *both* indicate going and moving. Here is a link to a list of 2000 roots which corroborates the same: wiki.yoga-vidya.de/Sanskrit_Verbal_Roots_List_with_English_Translation. In my opinion when phonology is very close, meaning is also very similar, not for the applied meaning (रौधिकार्थ), but the deepest etymological meaning (योगिकार्थ). In my opinion, श्रु (śru) means what it means ("hearing", and also "attending", being "attentive" to, and "serving") because it signifies the consciousness and will *going towards* a subject.

hi Vic, I know this is an old video, but you are 10 degrees off on your tropical coordinates for shravana. I spent a good while freaking out that I had the wrong nakshatra all along, and that i'm not actually dhanistha, until I realized the error. interestingly, the wiki on nakshatras shows the degree of difference between sidereal and tropical at 26 degrees, which was also messing me up. from what I can tell, it is closer to 24 or 25 degrees.

Jupiter gets debilitated in shravana ruled by moon and gets exalted in pushya nakshatra ruled by Saturn.. I have debilitated Jupiter in3rd house which gets exalted in navamans D9 chart and watching and listening this video.

But why VISHNU owns this Nakshatra. only this Nakshatra. among 27 gods of 27 nakshatras Prajapati, Rudra owns one Nakshatra each. being given rulership to VISHNU, RUDRA & PRAJAPATI.. these nakshatras should become more prominent. These owning Nakshatra people should dominate the world in all work fields. But it's not the case in real. There is no match with other rulers of nakshatras ability in comparison with the Creator, Preserver, and destroyer of the Thrimurthys. This is just mystical.

jaya bharathi the three deities here do not act in their mahesvara role, they act as regular deities mainly. Brahma does not act mostly as brahma but mostly as prajapati in Rohini - His lower function. Shiva acts as rudra in Ardra - His lower function. Vishnu acts mainly as Indranuja and the Karmendriya devata of locomotion here in Sravana. In their roles as maheśvara they are beyond svaḥ, beyond the nakṣatra.

No, actually Tvastā is the superior form of Viśvakarma. The reason Citra is attributed to Tvastā and not Viśvakarma is because Tvastā manifests as both Viśvakarma (for adityas/gods) and Māyā (for daityas/demons). There is no partiality. Impartiality is an important part of Tvastā. Objectivity, impartiality, interest in the topic itself, not in the various politics involved with various opinions about the topic.

jaya bharathi I’ve noticed ardra star seems to absolutely dominate in sports. Almost every great athlete you can think of has something to do with ardra. Mike Tyson, Michael Vick, Lionel Messi, Michael Phelps, two of three captains of the US women’s national team and countless more all have there sun in ardra. Michael Jordan has his ascendant in ardra...ardra I presume to be very driven in talented in life. Bill gates also has his ascendant in adra. While Shravana seems to be HIGHLY talented but doesn’t usually get to the heights of ardra. Phenomenal athletes like Vince carter, Neymar jr, Luis Suarez, Christiano Ronaldo all have there sun in shravana. To me shravana seems to be a nakshatra for wealth and recognition. These two stars or signs ( Gemini and Capricorn) seem to have a sort of affinity for one another. Ardra and shravana are either the BEST of friends or often times they share some sort of rivalry. But nonetheless I guarantee you know two people who have these stars that are close in one way or another. June 22 to July 5 is sun in ardra and shravana January 24 to February 5.
