This is not the only Adele song that The Barefoot princess has covered , just the most recent one . Matter of fact Angelina dropped this cover less than a week after Adele had brought out this song ! Adele was asked how she felt about Angelina covering her songs and she said that she was Honored to have Angelina cover her music !! I actually prefer Angelina's version because she brings out an emotional feeling to it that takes a true Jazz artist to bring out and as good as Adele is Jazz is not her forte !

I’m so glad to hear Adele loves when Angie covers her songs. Not that it surprises me. Adele is a humble and sweet woman that still remembers where she came from.

Adele sings powerfully, Angelina sings emotionally!

Another reactor said it best: "Angelina has an extra "buzz" in her voice, which means she'll be a super-star."

I read an article that quoted Angelina as saying she "felt a connection to this song as soon as I heard it." That would explain how she was able to post a video to TikTok singing this just 6 hours after Adele released it, and this video 11 days later. Some think, and I might agree, that Angelina is singing about her childhood, where as Adele was singing about her marriage and then divorce. I think Adele has a great voice, but I think Angelina puts more emotion and feeling in to every song she sings.

This young lady is a vocal chameleon. Every time she brings tears in my eyes cause it is so beautiful. Angelina Jordan ASTAR (the name says it all), this young norwegian lady is imo the best singer on the planet! I am 69 y old and have never heard a singer like her in my whole life.

I've probably heard 25 covers of this song, and some are very good. But for me, this is the best one. Angelina is a huge Adele fan, and has covered her songs 7 or 8 times, this one being the latest. I don't know Her "All I ask" is incredible but I also love her "A million years ago" from when she was 12 kzread.info/dash/bejne/g3yA1ryKY9avp6g.html. Sure her voice is even better at 14/15 than it was at 12 but I love her simple acoustic versions, specially the ones with Ivan Mendes so for me it's hard to choose between both of these.

@@JezaGaia "A Million Years Ago" is Fantastic! For her 12th Bday she got the Neumann 102 microphone that she is using in this performance. Not long after she turned 12 she headed to LA, where she meet Ivan Mendez. This all Angelina , she has the ability to coach the coaches. No coach is responsible for this performance. Angelina is just a natural singer. Who all whom play for her call the boss. You discredit her by trying to give any credit a vocal coach for this performance. You will find the normal comments do not apply when reacting to Angelina. She is just that out of this world.

I believe she did receive some vocal instruction, at least on how to protect and take care of her voice. Here's what I found on Wikipedia: "Jordan attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where she received vocal training and piano lessons." But none of this attempted to change or influence her "style". I wouldn't be surprised if grandma Mery also helped with her vocal instruction, as we know she is a major influence on Angelina's style and musical preferences. But as far as having a personal "vocal coach", I don't think she's ever had that.

I find that hard to believe.

I believe Angelina truly related to the lyrics of this beautiful, yet sad song. Angelina chose a path to stardom seemingly from birth and therefore didn't get to feel the world around her like other children. Hey Andy. Those are the 5 she composed, but she has two more originals that were composed for her: "A Song for A" and "Above the Water".

I think the black and white highlights the timeless nature of her style and reveals the artist while hiding the fact shes just a teen. A teen that has mastered a style of music way before her years, way before most of us. Years from now the b n w will help age the song over time

As 10 years old a vocal coach said that Angelina had reached master level and could be vocal coach herself. Another vocal coach said he didn't know much about jazz singing, so she could teach him a lot. She has experimented a lot over the years. The videos with just a guitarplayer is mainly done in 1st. take. Angelina sings phenomenally well while she is reading the lyrics at the same time. Thats why she's a prodigy. She has special abilities beyond the ordinary.

Angelina‘a rendition of ‘Easy On Me’ is more flowing, the notes are more rounded and connected to each other. She leads you smoothly through the melody, adding ornaments when she feels they are appropriate; never letting your mind rest or assume what is next. She is constantly fully engaged with the music, crafting every moment; and brings us along for the ride. Adele’s music video rendition sang the notes very clearly separated from one another. Her music video gave me the impression Adele may be suffering from depression, and she appears resigned that the relationship with her family is over. Alternatively, Angelina appears to sing from a perspective of hope.

Adele is an amazing song writer and this song is amazing. Angelina just takes it to the next level as ridgemanron explaines below. With Adele you get pure non-jazz Adele. With Angelina being a true jazz specialist, whereas Adele is not, allows Angelina to bring forth a higher level of permeation to the human soul. Being a 'vocal chameleon', she brings the essence of Adele but then adds the breathy, sensual releases that Billie Holiday would do. Then, going to the opposite end of the jazz spectrum she takes the raw inflections like 'slurring' words for a more natural effect, as well as radically changing 'key' in mid-sentence that Amy Winehouse was known for. Combine it all together and this intricate complexity consisting of the sounds of 4 superstar singers gives the listener something I've never heard another singer being able to do.

Angelina's personal aesthetic, voice and song choices harken back to the 40s. You hear her and envision a smokey night club in a black & white movie. Adele's 'Easy On Me Official' is in B&W. as is virtually all of Steven Spielberg's "Schindler's List.' The idiom seems to work for this piece and not bad company to be with. Only a few of Angelina's videos are in B&W. ... Yes, this version tracks the original quite a bit. The major difference is Angelina's cry-like timbre (vocal fry?), as opposed to Adele's clear tone. She did a tiktok of this a few days after Adele put this song out. Then only a week or two after she did this. She loved it right away. She doesn't mess around so much with Adele's songs. She loves Adele and loves her songs. A Million Years Ago is the one she did something quite unique with .. and it is brilliant. I highly recommend you hear it. All I Want is also quite recent and worthy. Two non-Adele recommendations are I'm Still Holding On For You (10 years old) and I'd Rather Go Blind (Etta James) where I believe she's 11 but not positive. Two originals I LOVE: Million Miles (I recommend the Live in Studio version) .. it's a song about her grandfather that she wrote after he died. Beautiful. And the other I really like is SHIELD which is older but quite powerful. All her originals are worth seeing but these two are my favorite. 7th Heaven is a jazzy fun and positive one also ..

Another voice you should NOT miss is that of Russian teen Diana (dee-AH-na) Ankudinova (an-ku-DEE-no-vah). Her voice is totally unique and she has masterful stage presence living the music. The best intro to her is probably her "Wicked Game" cover. Just make sure you are seated first for the "Queen of Goosebumps".

She gives a wonderful song an extra magical soul dimension , in her normal classy and unique way. As suggested below, Million Miles is an absolute must! Please keep them coming.

Seeing all the covers made, Angelina loves Adele, who is a great singer and composer. The difference between the two lies in the tonality. Adele is metallic, a blue color. Angelina wraps you in a sunny color like orange. They are two equally valid artistic expressions. There are those who like cold shades and those who like warm shades. I don't think Angelina makes great use of vocal coaches. I am inclined to believe the description of an Italian reactor: "she was born a butterfly, growing up she adds new colors".

All of the songs she performs are a match for her because she encompasses the ability to make them so, no matter what the genre.

This is a classic example of this very unique individual, when she does her covers, she pays homage to the original and then ads her own unique twists that make is so much better than it was originally performed.

I know I'm not saying anything original here, but her Adele covers are some of her best. Her TikTok cover of (the first half of) "Love Is a Game" absolutely _destroyed_ me. It was the second time she had left me a blubbering mass, the first being almost 2 years earlier, when I heard her live-in-concert rendition of "When We Were Young" (at Prøysenhuset). (I've cried other times listening to her, but never as much as those two times.) The funny thing is, it wasn't even the first time I had heard her sing that song. (!) I'd heard her Instagram live stream version (with solo guitar accompaniment) almost a month earlier. (Coincidentally, those two performances had actually happened about a month apart, nearly 9 months earlier.) But when I heard the concert version, she just sang it *so friggin' well* I broke down… Adele is exactly the kind of "superstar" singer (her word) that Angelina has wanted to be at least since she was 6 (and possibly going back years before that, given that she started singing at 1½ and declared at 3 that she wanted to sing for Simon Cowell). That's partly why those performances hit me so hard. Because, to me, in both she demonstrated beyond all doubt that she was already every bit as good as Adele. (I would say she was already _better_ , but whatever… At the very least [and this has been true for a long time now], she deserves to be taken just as seriously as any other recording artist you can name, past or present. She's the Real Deal.) Some of Angelina's earliest studio recordings (not released commercially, just done as part of her musical training), when she was 6 or 7, were Adele songs: "Rolling in the Deep" and "Someone Like You". This was before she could sing especially well (meaning, she still "sang like a child" in terms of being a bit pitchy, lacking good breath control, etc.), but she was already clearly "a girl on a mission", as it were: in some of the videos you can see that she's trying _so hard_ to do the song justice… she just "wasn't there yet". If you didn't know what a _phenomenal_ singer she became very shortly afterwards, it would break your heart. Anyway, she tackled "Someone Like You" again when she was 13, and totally nailed it, of course. But she still made the same mistake at one point in the lyrics that she had made at roughly half that age, singing "but invited" instead of "uninvited".🥰 About 7 months before this performance you just reacted to, she covered "All I Ask" (in the same studio with the same pianist). It is similarly impressive, and contains one of the most unusual runs she's ever done (unusual for her, anyway). Neither Adele nor Bruno Mars (cowriters of the song) do a similar kind of run in any of their renditions that I've heard, even when they "take it up a notch" in the bridge and final verse(s), which Angelina elected to omit from her version. … OK, I'm finished.🙂

It was explained on the Christmas Show Dec. of last year: AJ, being signed with Republic is using some young producers that have worked with some of the biggest stars in the industry so you will see some unique lighting and also colorful sets. Rob Christie, and AJ's family, are in complete control of her career. The unique thing about AJ is that she does not need special lighting, or bells and whistles, all she needs is that unequaled voice and maybe one instrument playing in the background to blow us away.

I really love this song by Angelina as I do almost all songs she does. She's the only one that I have created a library of songs for. I kind of wish she had waited a bit to do this song. It's a highly personal song for Adele involving her son and her divorce, I believe. I would have liked it to be owned by Adele for a while longer. Having said all that, you are right. You can hear a lot of Adele in Angelina's version and they are similar. I've listen to singing coaches react to this and they point out things like ...well Angelina did this here and Adele did that... etc. The main difference for me is Adele has sharper, crispier tones while Angelina tone feel round round and warm. She draws me into the song in a way the Adele has never done. Both have great voices, tending to sing in the same range but Anglina's voice touches me like no other voice that I have heard in my 71 years. When I was a kid I tried to copy Elvis and, I'm a graduate of Woodstock.

Angelina is the epitome of Angelina Jordan, she may duplicate the best of all performers when doing a cover, but then she makes everything her own by adding the genius that only AJ owns. You can't compare AJ with anyone else because no one else is on her level.

Originals you can do what is life, or Shield (around 12). More recent (Million Miles and 7th Heaven). Do the music video version's not studio IMHO. Even more recently My Funny Valentine 2022, House of the Rising Sun though these are covers. There is really nothing you will not enjoy from all she has done. I really wanted to let you guys know. When I seen her AGT. has you know. She blew my mind. I thought it was great. Soi google her and found more video of her. I was just so impressed. I read more things and became a fan. Thing is I really had not been into music lately. Well anyway I'm looking to more reactions

There's a reason why people ask you to see Angelina as a child and this is so you can understand for yourself what her base is Angelina adores Billy Holiday so I recommend you in the next video before you jump to their original song that will probably be "Million Miles" watch the video of a girl in Norway Gut Talent at the age of 7 A video of her first 4 performances in front of an audience totaling something like 11-12 minutes and then you will jump in time to where it suits you ... Think most of Angelinas songs are in color. You have just watched a portion of Angelinas songs so far which were filmed in black and white.

Adele is great, but she is a non-jazz singer. Therefore, she is not able to match the penetrating passion that a true jazz singer can accomplish when doing a heartfelt ballad. Angelina is a vocal chameleon so you will hear the essence of Adele's voice, but what separates Angelina is when she incorporates the 'breathy', 'whisper-like' releases she learned from Billie Holiday. Going a step further, she takes the 'slurring' of words for added effect that Amy Winehouse would do, as well as the radical 'key' changes she'd do in mid sentence. What you get is the effects of four superstar singers and I've never heard another singer able to do something this intricately complex in a song.

On this same show in 2007, 17-year-old Adele was in the same billing as Paul McCartney.
