I love hearing about your background before woodworking. I have been building my shop since the pandemic and hope to one day make it my career. I am also in Nebraska but northeast so not in your territory! 😜

I really enjoyed this video and I enjoy the podcast. I will retire in the next year and plan to continue woodworking as a hobby; a fun relaxing hobby. I don't want another job. When I first started, I made two cornhole sets for family members and suddenly I was the Cornhole Master. I was getting orders from friends of family and from work and it was so stressful. I don't mind batching out small stuff like spoons, spatulas, trivets, and cheese boards but I like the process of making something different for the very first time. The whole idea of deadlines makes it a job. Uck! I think there are a lot of us in the hobby that get dismissed by most of the professionals and content creators just because we are not obsessed with building or expanding a business. At some point could you and the guys on the podcast please address hobby people that just want to keep learning and improving skills just for the fun of it? Thanks so much. Bob

Great video I've been wanting to start doing content for a while but I am scared to death of all the negative feed back I love the way that your content is so real how you include everything and all the mistakes because lord know we as woodworkers we make a lot of them its my goal to be included in the community of youtube woodworkers like you

Errors in projects?? .... I've had my share of those over the years, to the point I now refer to them as 'unplanned surprises' that often make the finished project better than I thought it would be.

Question? Hmmm… When are you going to get a bigger shop? Maybe on the right side of the right?

I'm right we're you are with woodworking but I've been doing it 45 years And yes I make mistakes as well but I don't have the equipment that you have and I'm disabled now I'm 63 and have been doing it since I was 15 off and on to start . Then full time after a while and you know what they say if you have a job you love you will never work a day in your life I've done framing , boxing and siding , and my love decks I found I could be real creative with those but now I'm in a 12 x 16 shed building bird houses and such and again I can get creative with them , but I'm not online because I don't want to be pushed by anyone to hurry up because they want it now I sell a few and give a lot away , and I can't hurry anymore because of my disability and some days i cant stand up long enough to get anything done but I have fun and to me that's what it is about

Oh and the other reason I'm not online is I don't want to hear any badmouthing, I just wish I could heat or cool my shed and the sawdust on my floor is about a inch thick in the shallow areas and 6 inches under my table saw lol
