Halo was not about Spartans it was about the world of halo and Spartans were vehicles for you to experience that world. 343 disagreed.

20 years... fuck. I'll never forget how we all split screen and played like nothing else mattered. Why does nostalgia have to feel so good yet hurt so bad.

Death is common place in the halo franchise.

I was never a fan of halo 4s story, and by extension halo 5s, but in a way it still hits hard. Chief has lost so much. Most of his fellow SPARTANs the trained with on Reach, the closest thing he had to family. Johnson, Keyes, and countless others(if you read the books). But Cortana was with him through it all. She was always there to guide him and be that sarcastic voice in his head. But, in the end, he lost her too. Ain't that a bitch.

I remember watching my brother play halo reach on the final mission he cried I didn’t know why then when I got older and played it I realized why he was crying it was more then a game it was a beautiful story rip Josh miss you man

Halo has been around longer than I have been alive. and it has outlived some dear friends of mine. I hope it outlives me as well, so that generations for ages to come can experience it as I did.

Halo isnt just a game its not just a franchise it is everything

I've played a lot, a LOT of video games, but still, Halo Reach was, is, and will always be the best game that I will ever play. The story, the emotion, the combat, the ending, the beginning, the middle, and everything in between. And that is an under statement. I love that game so absolutely flipping much

lets not forget when chief lost cortanna at the end of halo 4 for him mentally it had been only about less then a few days since sge johnson died on the ark

I agree that it was horrible for chief but chief went into cryosleep at the end of halo 3 and slept for 4 years so it was a lot more than a few days

no matter how bad things get today, no matter how bad it has gotten in days past, Halo will always be the best gaming franchise to exist. you could not be more right spartan

halo has been my favorite game since i first saw the cover art for halo 2 at a friends house, when i was like 9...i had never played the first or really even heard of halo as i only had a ps1....but as soon as i saw the halo 2 cover art,it drew me in and i was like"that has to be the best game ever"

I love the story just as much, if not more than the game play
