The original song "Heartaches" was about forgetting someone who broke your heart. I think recognizing that our minds do that is sad in a way but it's comforting knowing you can always move forward with your life.

I find the original Caretaker version to be strangely optimistic yet haunting. But this version is just pure nostalgia and comfort, reflection and fondness for old memories, but a slight sense of sadness from the fact that you cant go back to how things were then. Its beautiful.

Exactly me too!! Didn't expect to see it here and didn't expect it to sound that good either

This song has haunted me through the deaths of two grandparents. During the final days of my grandfathers life, we knew what was coming next, I could hear this song playing in the back of my head. It is a beautiful song but it just brings me back to the side of the bed.

thanks for doing this one, I really respect how you do covers of all different types of music. Always something for everyone

How the hell have you made a version that's even sadder than the normal one? The first time I put this on, I was in tears in seconds. I don't think I've ever been as fearful of my own mortality as I was when I first heard this. Thanks for the existential crisis, you complete and utter genius.
