"Don't try to take me to a disco, you'll never even get me out on the floor, 10 minutes I'll be late for the door." There were a lot of us that loathed disco. That line was perfect.
Anytime I've been anywhere and this song comes on people IMMEDIATELY head for the dance floor. EVERYTIME.
It is true……..Bob Seger has never written a bad song.
Bob's most emotional song is NIGHT MOVES, about teenage sex and the melancholy produced by looking back over your life.

I disagree. Turn The Page is very emotional. Dealing with life on the road, bigotry and prejudice, loneliness etc. Or Against the Wind which is just about how hard life is in general.
“Betty Loo’s Getting Out Tonight” is a rarely heard gem of a rocker!
There's just nothing Bob Seger doesn't do outstanding. He's been a favorite of mine for many years
Bob Seger is a master lyricist. He has a way of telling a story that makes you feel that you are living that story, all encompassed by great music.
Bob Seger is definitely a legend. If you take a deep dive into his work, you will be amazed! Tyvm ❤❤❤

You just can’t go wrong with Bob , great storyteller, huge rabbit hole of really good music. Enjoy the journey
Classic Bob Seger song and yes, the song was featured in the movie Risky Business. Other Seger songs - Night Moves, Still the Same, Against the Wind, and Her Strut to start

Against the Wind and especially "Roll Me Away" are my favourite songs of his. Roll Me Away gets played every time I leave on a trip.
Night Moves, Main Street, Come To Papa, Her Strut, Beautiful Loser. Tons of great songs!
Bob Seger; One of the best voices in rock'n'roll One of the best lyricists of his time One of the best entertainers One of the nicest superstars, by all accounts. His music covered a pretty wide musical swath Had several great bands backing him up through the years, most notably The Silver Bullet Band And, near and dear to my heart, he had a great saxophone player One of my favorite artists of all time You just can't go wrong with Bob
Awesome reaction... The one thing about Bob Seger is he feels every word he sings, and you will too. His catalog is epic. Do "Night Moves" next it's a BANGER.

( Van Halen w/ David Lee Roth ) but Bob is bad to the bone - ah hell, thats George Thorouhgood - well, you know what I mean
The picture of Bob sitting on the corvette is from the music video for "Like A Rock". That's a great song. A bit slower than many of his, similar to Turn the Page. Really highlights the rasp as he sings about days gone by. You may recognize as Chevy used it in pickup commercials for about 15 years.
I'm so excited to see Bob Seger again! I love Seger! He has so many great songs! Hollywood Nights, Against the Wind, and so many others! His voice is excellent. He sings with soul (like my Steve Perry/Journey and Rod Stewart, just to name a few.) Seger rocks, always has! ❤
It's hard to top a classic Seger tune! This song is linked to the Tom Cruise movie Risky Business, and I ask myself "who is the U-Boat commander" every time I hear this song come on the radio. (if you get this reference you are either a big movie buff or old like me, LOL)
A lot of my generation that was brought up on rock did not appreciate the disco era at all. Bob voiced the frustration of a lot of us in this song.

For Sure
Tom Cruise was definitely not a superstar before “Risky Business”. This movie kind of launched him. He was 21 (playing a high school senior) when this movie came out in 1983. The song had already been a hit in 1978, and then again when this movie came out 5 years later.
Bob's "Like a Rock" was used in a Chevy truck commercial for quite a while.
No one like Bob...A true icon...I been rocking with Bob since the early 70`s...IMO he has never made a bad song.
“Her Strut” and “Night Moves” are my favorite songs by him. Such a great artist! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

I love “Her Strut”!!!
You’re right! It is impossible not to love this song. He’s a true American treasure as a songwriter. Never gets mentioned with the great ones but he belongs in that conversation though. Some of the most memorable songwriting you’ll ever hear in rock history. Nice dancing Sam.
This song has an iconic back story. The demo was recorded at the iconic Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Alabama. The demo was sent to Bob when he was in Europe. The band ran through it and they all really didnt like it. He tried it live and the audience went nuts. So much so they did the song again. It was clear they were going to have to cut it themselves. Some songs just find the right artist. Thanks to his great relationship with MSSS it ended up in his lap and has been a staple of his cannon ever since.
Go all in for Seger. Night Moves, Beautiful Loser, Roll Me Away, Main Street, Betty Lou's Gettin' Out Tonight... on and on. My teen years are written into his music...
Bob is One of a kind ❤
Bob and his band are amazing. You guys could spebd the next several months doing one Seger song after another and probably triple your subs. Legendary is an understatement when it comes to Bob Seger.
Rock n Roll does sooth the soul.
We just lost my best friends mom. After a 2 year battle with cancer. She was his biggest fan! We had an 80th birthday party, this came on the jukebox , she was out of her chair and rocking like she was 16!
Another great Bob Seeger song is "Still the Same"!!! 👏👏👏👏
I saw that! Ole’ time rock and roll make you smiiiiiiiiiile. 74 yo kid.
My son used to play this on his sax. He was awesome, but it drove me crazy. So loud in the house 😁. He was sixteen.
I had his 45 single record of Rambling Gamblin man and wore it out back in the day when it first came out! That is what made Tom Cruz a star!
In the 70's, a lot of us felt that way when disco was becoming popular. The kind of acts I saw in concerts made sure to put down disco at some point in their shows (Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent etc). People nowadays look back at the70's and think wow about all the different genre's coming together. But true hard rock fans usually did not care for disco. But times change...not for me...but they do change. 😉

I LIKE ALL 70s music love to dance
This one is great, it's an iconic classic. To me, his best song, however, is Night Moves. For people of my generation, I would think, it's very, very nostalgic. The song hits hard in its memories of times past. At least for me. Back to current day, thanks for another great reaction to another great song! The people who made Risky Business knew what they were doing when they coupled a young Tom Cruise with Bob Seger!

My favorite Segar song is Against the Wind . Wonder music as well as lyrics.

This was huge in 1978
The song was recorded at the Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Sheffield, Alabama, and Sound Suite Studios in Detroit, Michigan. The guitar solo was contributed by Howie McDonald. Originally, the Silver Bullet Band was displeased with the song's inclusion on Stranger in Town, claiming, according to Seger, that the song was not "Silver Bullety". However, upon hearing audience reactions to it during their tour in Europe, the band grew to like the song. In 1990, Seger joined Billy Joel on one occasion and Don Henley on another to play the song during their concerts in Auburn Hills, Michigan
Not only is this a great and universally loved song, it is also featured in one of the most fun movie scenes in history in Risky Business when Tom Cruise dances to it in his underwear. THAT'S the video you should see!!!
I seen Bob back in ths late 70s early 80s with heart

early 70s to
My first concert was a Bob Seger concert. It was 1978 and I have been a Super Fan ever since. Some of my favorites are “Til it Shines”, “We’ve Got Tonight”, “Still the Same”, good grief I could go on and on. I love them all. Thanks for the great reaction. 😊
A roots rocker with a classic raspy, powerful voice, Seger wrote and recorded songs that dealt with love, women, and blue-collar themes, and is one of the best-known examples of a heartland rock artist. He has recorded many hits, including "Night Moves", "Turn the Page", "Mainstreet", "Still the Same", "Hollywood Nights", "Against the Wind", "You'll Accomp'ny Me", "Shame on the Moon", "Roll Me Away", "Like a Rock", and "Shakedown", the last of which was written for the 1987 film Beverly Hills Cop II and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He also co-wrote the Eagles' number-one hit "Heartache Tonight", and his recording of "Old Time Rock and Roll" was named one of the Songs of the Century in 2001. With a career spanning six decades, Seger has sold more than 75 million records worldwide, making him one of the world's best-selling artists of all time. Seger was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012. Seger was named Billboard's 2015 Legend of Live honoree at the 12th annual Billboard Touring Conference & Awards, held November 18-19 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York. His farewell tour took place in 2018 and 2019.
You can't go wrong with a Bob Seger song, he just doesn't have a bad song. 👍 Those raspy expressive vocals and wonderful storytelling will have you engaged from the start. But hey...I'm a Seger fan so whatta ya expect~ lol Here's another song by Bob Seger, if interested. "Bob Seger - Beautiful Loser Studio version)" (channel: Bob Seger) --This song was written and recorded by Bob Seger and is from his eighth studio album. The single just missed being included on the US Billboard Top 100. And I'd also like to suggest another song by an artist I believe you've reacted to before and seemed to enjoy his tunes. So If interested check out " Joe Bonamassa - The Heart That Never Waits (Live) - Tales Of Time" this is a live performance at the Red Rock Ampitheatre. This is blues at its finest with one of the G.O.A.T guitarist's... this is pure ear candy, guys (👂🍬)
Now... get you some NIGHT MOVES and then LIKE A ROCK (and another song used in a commercial)
Great review. Bob has a catalogue of great songs for you to discover. Katmandu, Night Moves, Hollywood Nights, Still the Same, Like a Rock, Feel like a Number, Mainstreet, Ramblin Gamblin Man, The Famous FInal Scene. Are just a few suggestions for you to listen too.
I’m from Detroit, as is Bob Seger. Arguably the best live album ever made is Live Bullet! If you wanna here what a live rock show in Detroit was like in 1975, this is the album for you. One of my favorite songs is Heavy Music, really gets the crowd on their feet! Also check out Nutbush City Limits, Bob adds his thoughts about a quote in Rolling Stone Magizine that always makes me laugh‼️😅😂🤣

Great reaction, thanks. Against the Wind, Roll Me Away, Like a Rock are all great.
You still have to check out Seger's "Get Out OfDenver" and "Katmandu" to get the true flavor of his rock n roll
Great reaction, yall brought a smile to my face. So glad yall enjoyed it, her dancin around said it all.
Ive seen Bob twice. He was my very first concert when i was 10.He was amazing He has a lot of bangers
I first saw Bob Seger at Richard's, a rock & roll club in Atlanta where he played for a week. It was late on a weekday and there were about 25 people in the audience. The next time I saw him was a few years later at Grant Field in front of about 45,000 screaming fans. The difference was the release of his Night Moves album. Now you have to watch Tom Cruise dance to this song in Risky Business.
"Like A Rock" is another great one!
RIP Alto Reed. Love that sax!
His live stuff is the bomb
One of his best "Roll me away".
Brave strangers and night moves are my favorite songs by him!
I have never watched Risky Business but I have definitely seen the dancing scene. Bob is great 🔥❤️ Turn the Page is my favorite from him but I truly don’t think he has a bad song.
Sam, you have some awesome moves!!! 🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🌹
😢im so emotional when i always heard these song,my days my old times
Oh Yeah!!
Love you guys' reactions and analysis. A whole lot of great songs by Seger. Try "Night Moves" or "Her Strut."
Bob's work has been used in several commercials , the last was a Chevy commercial using his song "Like a rock"
Gotta check out “night moves” by him!!! I think u both will love it!!!
😊❤ Good Morning Phil and Sam!! What a great song and reaction to wake up to! 😅 I think without the movie this still would be a classic! You just can't help but jam and tap your foot to this one! My two favs of his are "Night Moves" and "Against the Wind". If I had to choose one it would be "Night Moves"! They are similar in feeling. Both are slower ballads but the story telling along with his vocals and the band, just beautiful!! Luv you guys!! 😊❤❤
BOB SEGER. ROLL MEEE AWAY.
Can't go wrong with a Seger song. If you really want to dance to one of his songs, he did a cover of one of the founding fathers of rock n Roll, Chuck Berry's song. It's called C'est La Vie. The song is in English, though the title isn't and has the 50's sock hop feel
I find myself waiting for you two every morning!
It wasn't that Tom Cruise was a superstar at the time, but Risky Business is the movie that made Cruise a star and him dancing to this Bob Seger song is iconic.
Bob Seger is a rock legend... no doubt about it. If he has a bad song, I haven't heard it. o
FIRE DOWN BELOW!!!!!!!
Oh man sooooo many timeless hits
as much fun as this song is to listen to - it recharges your batteries for sure - - playing it with a band is even better. If not dancing - then on the keyboard
Risky Business was Tom Cruise's big movie hit. Before that he played parts in other movies but this was his bigtime breakout role that made him a movie star.
Go down that rabbit hole, you won't be disappointed ✌️
Shame on the Moon... (Bob Seger) different...lovely song with good message.
As has been said, there are no bad Bob Seger songs, and all of the songs mentioned in the comments are great ones. To those I would add "Roll Me Away."
You guy's gotta do "Travelin Man/ Beautiful Loser" live in Atlantic City in 2011 they released the song's in 1975 😊
Bob Seger, is the musician for the 'Blue Collared Man/Woman'. He sang songs you could relate too.
His Influences were mainly black soul artists. Mainly the Stax label artists Wilson - Pickett - Land of A Thousand Dances You will hear the connection for sure
"Like A Rock", "Night Moves", "Main Street", "Shakedown" to name a few.
The late Alto Reed on saxophone.
Bob Segar live please❤❤❤❤
Our high school reunion anthem. 😊❤
This was recorded in the seventies and he was referencing to music of the fifties, hence the saxophone which was a major instrument in R&B and rock . Gibson & Fender were just beginning to appear but we’re not predominant .
against the wind .my fav seger
You both have amazing voices.
Outstanding sound that move your soul, true Rock & Roll always ... Kids😌
love listening to you two
He did collaborate with The Eagles “Heartache Tonight” awesome tune!
One of my favorite songs to sing at karaoke if I can get the raspy pronounced enough in my vocals. GREAT song!!
He has so many great songs but there are a couple with so much emotional depth that I bet you guys would like but they also rock, and one is called Night Moves, and the other one is called Against the Wind.
Yes!!! Love this song... he Almost didn't record this song... he didn't want to record it a 1st
Absolutely the Best Song Writer of all Time!!!!
Bob ! You have a long way to go it seems
Saw him in the 80’s and the only time I sat down was before the show started. Just hit after hit after hit.
Bob is a legend! A great artist!
