As a young Christian, years ago, I heard the comment " if the Lord does not return soon he will need to apologise to Sodom and Gomorrah ". How much, I wonder, will the Lord tolerate? My advice to anyone reading this, Stay close to Christ, our only hope.

Amen, I wonder the same E thing but unfortunately I feel things are getting worse day by day, and it won't be too much longer before His return, which does make it so important to stay close to Christ. He will be our strength and protection through it all. Praise God. He wins.

Those in Christ love the Lord our God with all our hearts. So it is our goal to follow all of Christ's teachings. Those without say this is a work (chore) instead of an act of love and wanting to do the Lord's will When Jesus came he didn't do away the laws but explained the law. He told us that we are therefore to be perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect” (Matthew 5:48). A man told Christ all the laws have I followed: And of course, we can try not to speak evil. Or some men may look at a woman. And we still can't be perfect. Christ knew this therefore He said: If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. Matthew 19: 16-21. Apostles forsook all. The church in Acts forsook all And so did I over 45 years ago and I have lacked for nothing. I mean we love Christ and like the apostles we will give our life if need be. But I know if people can't give up a little thing like what they own. Will they be willing to do more?

There is one statement you made that I do not agree with, based on my research on the term "Ecclesia" that the Lord used in Matthew 16:18. In my research I have come to learn that the terms "Church" and "Ecclesia" are NOT synonymous, and should not be used interchangeably. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I agree with your statement. Ekklesia(Community/Assembly) is not the same as church. Church is a place of meeting while the Ekklesia or in Hebrew Kahal is ‘called out one’s’ its referring to a specific people. I’ve had this discussion with many Christians and unfortunately due to indoctrination, it’s hard for some to unlearn traditional teachings. Shalom

@@humbleservantdc5184 Aloha humble servant. I have run into the same inability of many SDA ministries to deal with that Truth. The "tradition" of the use of the term Church, seems to parallel that of the "tradition" of the replacing the Seventh Day Sabbath with Sunday! It appears as though the change happened about the same time when Constantine started messing around with bringing Christianity into a relationship with Paganism!

@@lindaschipansky4429 Look up the Hebrew word ‘Kahal’- kahal appears 122 times in the Tanak(Old Testament). Kahal derives from the root קהל meaning "to assemble, gather", a verb that also appears frequently in biblical Hebrew. That root in turn derives from the word kol קול - "voice", and originally meant "to call together" or "call to to an assembly". Church is not Hebrew nor does YAH call for a church, but a people. Those who hear the voice of the Almighty and obey, become His Segullla(Treasured Possession) Exodus 19:5. This is the bride, the body of Messiah. The house of Yisar’el are the called out ones, who have chosen to sanctify themselves-(Leviticus 11:44). To be called set-apart. I pray you do your own research and seek the truth. I am one who was deceived by the church and the religious system. But like the words of Messiah Yeshua, “you shall seek the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” Shalom

Why did Jesus spare the life of the woman caught in the actual act of adultery? She was GUILTY of adultery and Jesus said he that is without sin cast the first stone. We should also ask ourselves why these righteous men don’t want to hold the man accountable lol 😂 God sees everything in my opinion.
